Yeah. It's not inward in the sense of breathing inward but it's inward in the sense that he uses inward air pressure to cause the sound. Inward suction but no breathing. (it seems like raising or lowering the larynx with your throat closed makes pressure by trying to put the same amount of stuff into more/less space than it should be in. inward pressure causes the suction for snare and the kick is just releasing the pressure outwards to let the air go back to how it was). But anyways that's why I'm impressed, because to do the snare you need to cause pressure which has an inward direction, but to do the throat kick you need to do a similar pressure (without breathing) but the pressure seems more outward in direction. Although I spent a bit trying to do it and I suppose it's not as hard as I thought, there seems to be a way to do the cadence where the inward pressure used for the snare can be tied nicely as the beginning position to cause the pressure to do the throat kick, so going from snare to throat kick is a bit easier than the other way... It's just a really really weird feeling and confusing feeling trying to alternate it. Like walking forwards and back over and over, it feels goofy. That said the speed of my basics isn't very quick so I think the weird confusing feeling is just me being confused how he's doing multiple sounds so fast since my body is unable to match the same speed even without alternating the sounds.
