Allison was so sweet when she was so scared about the abseiling. As ever great video as they both smile and laugh at themselves and problems. Such a delightful way to travel vicariously from the comfort of one's home especially in lockdown.
Glad to hear you are thinking of coming back to the Peak District at a time of the year when it's warmer and much less windy. Going out on those hills during the winter is a short trip to Hypothermialand... come back during lambing season, it's beautiful (and full of sheep). And if you fancy a bit of exercise and fantastic views, try walking along some of the Pennines Way.
I've become weirdly addicted to your chemistry as a couple natural style of presentation, but Ii have to say you complement each other beautifully. Its a delight watching you vlogs where ever in the world, but I'm proud you've taken an interest in the parts of the UK that pass most Americans by. Excellent job! (oh and ps ?.. for a peek at a less well known but beautiful part of the UK?. Check out the Forest of Bowland, Lancashire. One of the Queens favourite spots). Hurry back..;)
0:41 seconds in is my home Village of Hathersage, kinda cool to see this small little northern village explored by Americans & shown to the world. Did you go the the plague village of Eyam? Lots of interesting small history around the area
Excellent as always. I presume the "cave" you entered was a Blue John Mine, Blue John really beautiful stuff and worth seeking out. Another cave is Speedwell Cavern explored by boat & deliciously claustrophobic.
This is my part of the world. I live in Sheffield but frequently go hiking around here with my girlfriend. I love your channel, great to see folk from the US appreciating the countryside here.
Brilliant guys! Please please please put North Wales on your to do list! There's so much natural scenery, mountains, fabulous beaches, castles and amazing food!
its so funny seeing people come and visit a place that ive grown up going to... 20 min drive from peak district now and used to live in cambridge so lots of tourists, love meeting people from all over the world !
Edale is a nice place to do.. Glad you did go to Derbyshire parts.. Place close to Bamford I think is called stanage edge more sheffield yorkshire but way out of the edges,,,Youd need a car buses are rare.. Its very near Hathersage.. Abseiling a bridge.. ppft needs to be a boulder or cliff.. I wonder if they had Pheasant on that pub menu at the end.. Wouldnt surprise me if they can have fricken pigeon
You people are so open-minded, and always appreciative with well-balanced and well-considered commentary. I love to see the reactions to our food and culture, that of course we Brits take for granted. By the way, those strong and wet winds are more often than not, sent from YOUR direction. :-) Thank you, and I always watch your exploits.
you guys are great....peak district is amazing but try what i call the hidden mini peak:- EXMOOR in north devon / somerset ; check out Valley of rocks and lyton and lynmouth (a great place to stay would be Glen Lyn Gorge ) ......then zip down to st Germans in south east cornwall and i recommend staying at RailHoliday ,accommodation in converted rail cars, lizzy and dave are just the loveliest of folk ;)
I'm glad you guys enjoyed the peak district... But please do visit in the summer... When the trees are green, when everything is green, and the weather is nicer. Dovedale Matlock Bath Ashbourne Buxton Mam Tor Thor's Cave Are just some of the great places / areas to visit in the summer. :)
try whitewater rafting at llangollen in north wales, you should also visit north yorkshire coast, and go back to cornwall in the summer or maybe surfing in croyde north devon
Near the Yorkshire Bridge Inn you can see the Dambusters commemoration plaque. The reservoir was where 617 squadron practiced their "bouncing bomb" low level flying.
If you're ever back in the peak District, you should get chips from the chip shop in hayfield village as they are the best ever. It's a tiny little village. I'd also recommend visiting Buxton which is a really lovely town with loads to do. Generally in the UK, places that are worth visiting that I haven't seen you go to already are Harrogate (Yorkshire, near York) which has an amazing Turkish spa that you must visit and a town in western England near the Welsh border called iron bridge which has a full Victorian town. I love you videos!
Wow this video takes me back. I spent most of my childhood easter holidays walking here and going down the 4 caves. I could never do the abseiling though, can't stand heights. Well done again for exploring the real english countryside rather than the normal tourist spots.
The Endless Adventure the trick with the huge dumpling in a lamb bowl, is to push the dumpling down into the gravy so that it soaks it up, that thickens the gravy and adds flavour to the dumpling, and makes it into a lovely lamb flavoured moist dumpling. It'ss incredible if you do it right.
Our weather would break the spirit of many a man or woman but not you guys,so,well done. Some of our small islands like Jersey , Guernsey (you can pop over to France from these two) or the Scilly isles might prove interesting ? But maybe when the weather is nicer? Don't want to have you freeze to death. Keep warm and Good luck.
Awesome! Abseiling is the same as rappelling, right? I had the opportunity to do some rappelling near Volcan Arenal in Costa Rica and loved it. Love your vlog!
Really loving your vlogs guys. You seem such a great couple. I live in Kent, I have family in Devon, Perthshire, Somerset, and the lake district, but your video makes me love England even more. You should come back in the summer though nothing beats an English summertime. Perhaps watch a Cricket match.
Great video once again, another really fun day. Spent a week in the Peak District back in school: still a very memorable experience after all the years. Looks like the cave was Treak Cliff Cavern, really enjoyed that as a kid. Hopefully you come back in the spring or summer when the weather is nicer.
I just love these vlogs!! I really hate it when the video is over😪 You guys are so fun and so relatable. You ROCK!! Great job, Allison!! You faced a fear. So cool 😎
Okay, this makes me crazy. It's stalactite and stalagmite. Stalactite has a C and comes from the ceiling. Stalagmites have a G and grow from the ground up. Whew!!! Loving seeing your adventures from the beginning!😁
You really need to try zip lining at Zipworld in North Wales. That REALLY WILL terrify you. 100 mph at 900 ft for about a mile, should get your adrenaline flowing
Love your videos, couple of questions, do you guys ever feel like just staying in sometimes and chilling out? I admire your stamina, always on the go!! .......and, do you ever fall out? You always seem bright and cheerful and happy with each other, I know you love each other but do you ever wind each other up?
This must be 9th December because that was the night of the first big snowfall of the winter. Hope you managed to get out of the Peak District in the morning! The UK roads don't cope well with snow
Hey guys when you next go back to the Peak District visit a village called Love Dale it's so beautiful and like me you guys love your food there is lots to choose
Nice video, I would be terrified too...not a fan of heights ^^ I currently binge watching all your videos, and I haven't dislike one so far! PS: at the end of the video, I think you guys might be driving on the wrong side of the road, based on the arrow on the ground...
Oooooh, almost! (11:28). I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for you guys to be "....plum-tuckered out". C'mon guys! You're Americans - it's expected.
Awesome vlog guys! Just out of curiousity, how mucb did they charge you to stay at these hotels? I looked them up and they were pretty pricey around the $700.00 mark? I could be wrong? I was just looking at the classic rooms as well for 2 people?
Next time you come you should try North Staffordshire Oatcakes too. The ones you had were Derbyshire Oatcakes. Both are good but there is a bit of rivalry between which one is better! 😂 😂 Also visit Dovedale! Its mentioned by Jane Austen in Pride and Prejudice and is spectacular. 😉 Another fantastic video guys 👍👍👍
The Peak District is the most beautifully bleak place. Even in Winter it drops your jaw.
You guys are great for British tourism. Keep it up.
Allison was so sweet when she was so scared about the abseiling. As ever great video as they both smile and laugh at themselves and problems. Such a delightful way to travel vicariously from the comfort of one's home especially in lockdown.
The Peak district is amazing, I'm glad the American audience got to see the real UK
the peak district looks beautiful amazing views and wild landscapes
Glad to hear you are thinking of coming back to the Peak District at a time of the year when it's warmer and much less windy. Going out on those hills during the winter is a short trip to Hypothermialand... come back during lambing season, it's beautiful (and full of sheep).
And if you fancy a bit of exercise and fantastic views, try walking along some of the Pennines Way.
Thanks For shedding light on our amazing back yard, soooo much more for you to see and do. Come back soon. x
I remember abseiling off that viaduct with the Prince's Trust nearly 20 years ago but it seems like yesterday. Time flies.
Hurry back..;)
Great drive (or bike) on the road through. They were quite close to there on another trip when they visited Ingleton.
0:41 seconds in is my home
Village of Hathersage, kinda cool to see this small little northern village explored by Americans & shown to the world.
Did you go the the plague village of Eyam? Lots of interesting small history around the area

Great video. I love them because it reminds me that Britain truly is the greatest country in the world and not to take it for granted.
I love to travel with you guys, thank you from Dallas!
i love how you say pub grub, you are true english people now (there is no turning back)
Yeah, I through that as well. Their getting more and more English.
Brilliant guys! Please please please put North Wales on your to do list! There's so much natural scenery, mountains, fabulous beaches, castles and amazing food!
I agree. I if you guys love The Peak District, you'll love North Wales. Precipice Walk near Dolgellau is a must.
its so funny seeing people come and visit a place that ive grown up going to... 20 min drive from peak district now and used to live in cambridge so lots of tourists, love meeting people from all over the world !
What a beautiful hike! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us guys! - Shane
Peak distric was only a 30 minute drive from my birth town. I used to love day tripping up there. Never gets boring.
The Monsal Trail (where the abseiling took place) is a disused railway line and apparently is going to be reinstated as a railway.
Going by your wonderful videos people are at their best when they travel to distant lands and watch in awe at the beauty...
you guys are great....peak district is amazing but try what i call the hidden mini peak:- EXMOOR in north devon / somerset ; check out Valley of rocks and lyton and lynmouth (a great place to stay would be Glen Lyn Gorge ) ......then zip down to st Germans in south east cornwall and i recommend staying at RailHoliday ,accommodation in converted rail cars, lizzy and dave are just the loveliest of folk ;)

Dovedale
Matlock Bath
Ashbourne
Buxton
Mam Tor
Thor's Cave
Are just some of the great places / areas to visit in the summer. :)
Next time in the Peak district go to the 'plague village' Eyam.
Alison Allen I've been there, they had well dressings and morris dancers that drank beer like it was going out of fashion.
Well done for abseiling I could never have done that.
try whitewater rafting at llangollen in north wales, you should also visit north yorkshire coast, and go back to cornwall in the summer or maybe surfing in croyde north devon
I believe "abseiling" is the UK word for what we call "rappelling" in the US.
CNVideos That's what I was thinking. Funny that it's a German word!
And the Americans use the French word. Unlike Americans using "zucchini" which is Italian, whereas the Brits use "courgette", which is French!
"Abseiling" is Germenglish, haha ! In german you say "Abseilen". "Ab" means down and "Seil" means rope. Greetings from Austria.
I didn't know that , thanks ;)
And what is perhaps NOT generally known is that Royal Marine Commandos do it WITHOUT a rope !
Near the Yorkshire Bridge Inn you can see the Dambusters commemoration plaque. The reservoir was where 617 squadron practiced their "bouncing bomb" low level flying.

Awesome! That B&B has Tesla Destination Chargers!
Loved those caves and the pie oh my it looked sooooooooo good haha. Xx
The Peak District is beautiful. I think that's where they filmed many part's of the movie "Pride & Prejudice"
I abseiled 150' a few years ago, down the side of a hospital and I was scared witless. Great video guys.
Wow this video takes me back. I spent most of my childhood easter holidays walking here and going down the 4 caves. I could never do the abseiling though, can't stand heights. Well done again for exploring the real english countryside rather than the normal tourist spots.

That is a North Staffordshire oatcake which is definitely made from oats! Staple diet in the North Staffs area, especially Stoke on Trent
Yes, I was a bit puzzled when Alison said there were no posts in the oatcake. I wonder what she thought it was made from.
Davls Walton For some reason I adore gloomy light rainy weather. I'm going to love it in the British Isles. I can't wait.
As long as you can find a pub with a roaring fire at the end of your walk, that's the secret : )
Hope you enjoy your stay when you come.
Davls Walton Thank you ^_^
You're welcome!
This is one of my fav vlog of Great Britain in Peak District great adventures guys great job :D
Awesome! Abseiling is the same as rappelling, right? I had the opportunity to do some rappelling near Volcan Arenal in Costa Rica and loved it. Love your vlog!

I hope you made it to winnats pass as you were bang next to it. One of my favourite little views in the peaks
I would of gone for the Duck starter you get a plate with it....
So prolific..
So awesome..
It’s crazy how much you guys have gained almost 50k subs! I remember how recently you guys had 1000 subs, and get to 100 k
Oatcakes!!! Go to Stoke on Trent guys and try a 'proper oatcake the 'proper' way 😁
i love peak district. if you liked that try lake district its just as good. and try the underwater caves tour in peak district its awesome
next time you come to England you should come up north more to the lake district (like Ullswater, Windermere and Grasmere)
You guys seem to appreciate the UK far more then us natives! Wouldn't it be wonderful if you guys actually came and lived here.
The views are stunning! Ya'll need to visit the highlands, though. It's like these views and hikes but on steroids.
I love pigeon, and wow yours looked amazing :)
Love you 2
You really need to try zip lining at Zipworld in North Wales. That REALLY WILL terrify you. 100 mph at 900 ft for about a mile, should get your adrenaline flowing
A few years ago I abseilled off that bridge.

You always seem bright and cheerful and happy with each other, I know you love each other but do you ever wind each other up?
Guys would you please make some videos about How's your editing videos? It will be great information for your viewers, coz your editing pretty sick 👍
when you say ' your editing is pretty sick ,' by any chance do you mean ' pretty slick?'
Charlotte Bronte has stayed at that hotel apparently.
This must be 9th December because that was the night of the first big snowfall of the winter. Hope you managed to get out of the Peak District in the morning! The UK roads don't cope well with snow
Beautiful 😍
Hey guys when you next go back to the Peak District visit a village called Love Dale it's so beautiful and like me you guys love your food there is lots to choose
You should go to the Lake District next time you come to England
They have been there already and they loved it.
You need to visit the Lake District, in the North West of England.
One thing about you guys I like is that you try all these things at the wrong time of the year! Not even us Brits would try this. Good luck to you.
Oh and I forgot try the North East of England and Scotland it's beautiful.
I would recommend you go to Glastonbury in Somerset the resting place of king Arthur ,the holy grail, wizards and warlocks.
I love all of the U.K.!!
my fav vloggers along with furious Pete and strictly dumpling. ^^
Nice video, I would be terrified too...not a fan of heights ^^ I currently binge watching all your videos, and I haven't dislike one so far!
PS: at the end of the video, I think you guys might be driving on the wrong side of the road, based on the arrow on the ground...
love it
U guys still owe Wales a good visit
Well done guys! Very brave. Coming back to Scotland anytime soon?
Oooooh, almost! (11:28). I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for you guys to be "....plum-tuckered out". C'mon guys! You're Americans - it's expected.
great video, well done.

Rachel Camm well obviously Derbyshire Oatcakes are far superior 😁
What microphone do you use?
fun day
You need to visit the roman walled city of Chester
I've abseiled if that viaduct and believe me when I say it is terrifying to start but once you've done it once it is addictive
❤️
For a funny abseiling video you should check out dodie's video she made for Coke, it's a riot. And dodie's wonderful, as always.
If you like to do abseiling a lot I can do that for you. Rope length after lenght.... 100 of meters
What did you mean by a group trip to the Peak District?
Another great video. Alison, you need to wear some socks!!
Socks inside some hiking boots! I thought you'd learnt your lesson with light weight Nikes in the mountains.
Cool vid
now we cant even like without having to update and all info
That is not how you have an oatcake lol.
🤝🤝🤝
Go to zante
What do you like most about the UK ??
Hey guys, the focus is a bit out during the video. Cheers
great bro
