If you hear the music closely it resembles the sound of a moving train..! Now that's what AR Rahman did to this song! A masterpiece itself! So in one of the interview he did mention that..he had to bring that rythym which Actually gives the feeling of moving train and a song itself.! It was a hit..! Purpose served!! Listen to it again! You would understand the background music's purpose!! Love from India!!
Ofcourse its got to be AR Rahman. Most 90s music is intolerable to me but AR Rahman makes timeless classics. One of the VERY few great composers in Bollywood.

However, to integrate with the locals Urdu was developed which is a mixture of Farsi and Sanskrit. Urdu helped bridge the gaps between the government and the public. Anyhow Urdu was created in India and Urdu dialects include Luknavi, delhi etc etc
