You forgot Wykagyl station on North Ave in New Rochelle. The station building is now stores. And if you go around back, you can see where the platforms used to be. Though some of it got filled in when they built condos on the other side of North Ave.
i did see that when researching, but from what i could find, it didn’t seem like there was anything there! thanks for letting me know what is there, i may pay it a visit!
There was a book on this railway called Weschesters forgotten railway Don't know if it's still in print but it can be found, Many of the bridges that this line ran on dismantled in 1939-1941 the steel was needed for WW2, In the late 70's I did a walk of this line from the Bronx were the NO 5 ends to Mt. Vernon were the line split in two , one line went to White Plains, Westchester Ave. were had the line been a success it would have continued on to Boston, The other Line went thew Pellem and New Rochelle were the tracks then ran parallel with the New Haven up to Portchester NY. Back in the 70s many stations were still around being reused for other business I did do a good study on this line
I just really love your channel! Your thoroughness on the history of these railroads is so amazing! If you are ever in Cincinnati, let me know and I'll invite you to speak at my railroad club! I'm so excited that there's kids your age still interested in the history of trains! I fear after my generation is gone, it won't stay alive much anymore! It'll be up to you to keep it going! That last place you were at over that bridge would probably make a good bike path if they have no intention to use it for rail traffic anymore!
thank you! yeah, the highbrook av bridge is super short hence why its not a bike path, but the ROW in white plains (near ridgeway station, as showin in the video) has been made into a bike path/hiking trail
@@honajtransit I'm a retired subway motorman. I ran a lot of trains over the former NYWB in The Bronx. Morris Park station still has the NYWB emblems on the entrance (it's my home stop).

Your choice of music is a wonderful departure from the stuff we hear today. It elevates the classiness of your presentations. Keep them coming.
Love the way you talk bout stuff on your videos
This was great, thank you!

How do you have such good info on transit in so many cities?
wikipedia is my friend in that! (and also following the wikipedia citation trail)
I'm pretty sure the NYC Subway's 5 Line between East 180th Street and Dyre Avenue are also part of this line.
yep, the old route in the bronx is now the 5 train

Love the thumbnail in your history section next time there’s an abandoned railroad out what has replaced it
as for what replaced this, to an extent the harlem line did, but nothing directly replaced it
When you say the old train station is now someone's home...it has to be a mansion, right? Like that has to be a big and unusual home.

Nothing new here, this has been covered many times before.
tbf though, that is to be expected for a railroad that is over a century old!
