Camel was a slang term in Aramaic for a certain type of knot used in a rope. The eye of the needle was literally just a bolt that was similar to an I-bolt. It has nothing to do with Jesus 'cursing' people for being financially prosperous or studious in their business affairs. It had more to do with this particular young guy, who was rich and a ruler, needing to divest his mind of his dependency on the Law for justification in exchange for obtaining salvation through following Jesus' teachings: which were far different than the mandates of the law of Moses. The fact that Jesus asked him "What does the law say" in reference to salvation was your clue. Putting it simply: he had The Law; but lacked the spirit of the Law. And it showed in his attitude towards the poor and his possessions. Your response, however, is typical of many lazy Christians who hide their covetousness, Bible illiteracy and their laziness behind fake piety. Much like the lazy "1 talent" servant in Matthew 25. The wealthy Christians I know got wealthy precisely from doing things in accordance to God's Word: not because they loved money. *Proverbs 22:29
