the hand you bought is a "mudra" (not sure of the spelling) which is a finger position held during meditation. There are many mudras and they all are supposed to be about different meridians of energy in the body. Something like that.
Hummingbird feeders are so fun to watch! I hope you do get one. But, the red dye is bad for the hummingbirds. It's recommended to use 1 part sugar with 4 parts water. :)
@@audreyholt7721 that's way too much sugar. I have been using the 1:4 as stated above for 4 years now and my hummingbirds (sometimes 12-15 at a time!) are very happy.
Hand painted china was fundamental in the cottage industry. Until the industrial revolution, in many European countries, women were not allowed to work outside the home. To turn a few extra bucks, women painted porcelain, knitted and crocheted a variety of items, including gloves and made lace. Shop keepers and their associates were men. Women were relegated to the rearing of children, civic duties and their church maintenance and could at best be the head housekeeper for an estate. The side importance of this little painted bowl is that it literally kept the family clothed and fed.
In Europe before the industrial Revolution MOST people worked at home, farming. Women worked along with their men…and tended babies. Not quite the picture you paint.
@@RondelayAOK A woman's day didn't end just because it got dark outside. On top of household chores, women did everything they could to earn extra money. Most women were lucky to get 6 hours of sleep and u hat was broken as they also tended the fires, making sure the family was safe and a time for them to say their prayers.
I love shopping, on my day off, vicariously thru you. I get all of the excitement of a treasure hunt, while still in my pajamas and not spending my own money. Win/win!
The little box of coasters is cool 😎 but….. I will send you TWO no no THREE hummingbird feeders for those super cute wooden cats 🐈 you found 😍. Those are my weakness , deal😻???❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Our favorite show to watch first thing in the morning. We have an online business we started in 2018. We learned a lot during that time but learned more from you in the recent 2 months then our couple years.
In the round box, they are coasters of some sort. I think they date from the 50’s because my father brought something similar back from his travels in the service.
Just binge watching some of your videos while baby girl is sleep. Although I should be sleeping as well lol. Barely have time to do anything but work take care of baby girl and sleep.
@@gigigoodwitch8198 but it isn't the same as the store. What you see online is part of a clearing house business. They done this with other companies that have gone out of business
Just catching up on older videos abs I have to say I was curious about the Cracker Barrel tea cup and plate. They actually seem to sell pretty well. Not a huge amount but I saw one cup with no plate sell for $12.
I thought it was interesting that as soon as you showed the Cracker Barrel set, a Cracker Barrel ad came on! Keep up the great videos. I’ve learned lots!
Had to 😅 at punishing yourself. I've had the same self motivation conversation with myself, then that's all I see when sourcing grrr. Agree hummingbirds defending their territory so highly entertaining to watch!
You should have bought that feeder for the birds. I learned they love it when they can rest their feet while drinking and they are attracted to that kind of feeder.
I loved this intro very cute. I haven’t been able to watch lately I give up trying to do this. But I still watch. My goodwill I HAVE NEVER found anything old in yet. I guess the owner keeps this stuff his self and sells. 🤣
I love hummingbirds, they are so cute and fun to watch and they got rid of my pigeons. My cat was sunning himself on the patio and got attacked by one as well. 😂
You were at the same Goodwill Michael was at in his spot on Sept. 8, 2021. I watched it today Sept 13th, Except he said he didn't know what town he was in!
I was just looken at your ebay store. I thought I would mention the stainless steel tornado you have on there is upside-down. Just thought I'd mention, I'm from Oklahoma city and think I'd know! 😆
Today I visited a goodwill only my second time! I was nervous looking up items, as I was leaving I spotted a group of blown glass, I peeled back the gw sticker and it was etched murano and a name I can’t make out, I scooped them all up, all 7 of these bulbous vases!
It’s funny you have the green vase in your cart but then when you put the box and the dog painting in the cart the green vase isn’t there and then you talk about the crystal vase and that you can’t sell it all of a sudden you have the green vase in your cart and you need to put it on the shelf..lol
01:28 All right, I'm totally digging the cigar boxes. The King Edward and Roi-Tan are relics of my own childhood at my grandfather's wholesale tobacco business, and Blackstone and Optimo are intriguing of themselves. ("Man to man, smoke a Roi-Tan, for a taste that is better by far!") 04:56 Nope. Nope. Nope. Don't care how attractive they are, they're Cracker Barrel gunge. Don't go there. 05:49 Definitely they're coasters. The remnants of label along the bottom do tend to suggest that this is a piece that's been around a while. 09:56 Cutlery chest that is no longer inhabited by cutlery. Good if you've got a ton of loose tableware, but if not, cut your losses and run. 12:23 That's a PerkyPet feeder. The yellow bee excluders work very well, but the whole thing will get broken about the first time a squirrel jumps onto it, as happened to mine. My feeder never did very well at attracting hummingbirds, though the honeybees adored it. My experience has been a lot better with the Aspects HummZinger. 14:40 That is a very VERY vintage Pier 1 puzzle box. I had one exactly like it, way back in 1972. 15:27 It's a margarita glass. And a cheapo mass-produced one at that.
The wood Japan container is a set of coasters. They are just the right size for a normal highball or rocks glass. (Normal being when drinks were served in a 50s to 70s dinner party or social event) . Great finds. Sorry u passed on the paint by numbers tho.
I have one sitting on my shelf right now, got it when I was a kid back in the early '60s and we were stationed in Okinawa. Mine looks nearly identical.
When I saw the hand sculpture, I heard Carolyn Jones in my head saying, “Thank you, Thing!”
the hand you bought is a "mudra" (not sure of the spelling) which is a finger position held during meditation. There are many mudras and they all are supposed to be about different meridians of energy in the body. Something like that.
Traditional Japanese tea is served in little cups (no handles and NO saucers) so the little wooden coasters could be for teacups 😊🪴
10:28 I love that you were putting things on the shelves because you found a bin waiting to be put out on the shelves.
The second shaker, is Harlequin, made by the same company as Fiestaware, Homer Laughlin, that line is no longer in production. Made from 1936-1951.
Wahoo! love the goodwill videos the best 👍
Me too!
I do too...its more relatable!!

That green organic shaped vase from cart was fabulous
Love the paint by number ship paintings!!!!
Hummingbird feeders are so fun to watch! I hope you do get one. But, the red dye is bad for the hummingbirds. It's recommended to use 1 part sugar with 4 parts water. :)
Glad to see this just bought a bag of sugar for my three feeders. Thanks
On Pinterest the recipes I found are 1 part sugar to 2 parts water.
@@audreyholt7721 that's way too much sugar. I have been using the 1:4 as stated above for 4 years now and my hummingbirds (sometimes 12-15 at a time!) are very happy.
4:1 ratio is what I’ve used for 30 years - in southern Alberta, Canada. No colouring. The colourful feeders attract the hummers. 😃
That small bowl is indeed RS Prussia. The mold is called the Lily mold. Great value. Great find.
Those cracker barrel mugs are selling at $17.99, with $9 s&h. So probably worth about $16 a piece, but a set might sell at $50 if you are lucky.
I agree
Saw Cracker Barrel mugs and plates for $39.99 .. others like them sold for that price as well.
Coasters for saki.
You found Majolica out in the wild and I'm jealous. (again),
That paperweight was incredible; the colors looked almost like a rainbow oil slick...stunning❣👌😎

Those cigar boxes are good money my dear girl
You should have bought those two smaller ships paint by numbers and put them in your booth with the ships that you already have

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE the paperweight, but you prolly already knew that LOL!
You passed on a solid Onyx cat?!? WOW
The dishes are from Fes, Morocco where they have beautiful hard clay & wonderful mesmerizing designs! Gorgeous!
My parents were born in Fes before they were expelled to Israel.
Thank you sweet girl ! Always enjoy your videos! I’m always learning from you.🌼

Yes! Love this so much thank you Jocelyn I have been using your vids as part of my mommy me time for a few years now and cant get enough 🥰
Just what I needed!! A lamp lady video!
The hand is a representation of the Buddha's hand in the Vitakra mudra. Symbol of wisdom teaching of the Buddha.
Could it be used to display rings or bracelets in photos, or would that be disrespectful? Thank you for teaching me!

The brown sculpture looking item I believe is a hand.
Yes it is.
The paper weight is so pretty!!
Love the idea of a derpy animals lot!

Your best find, an empty little box!! LoL Brought a smile to my face. Thank you.
That could be Buddha's hand? Maybe?
I enjoyed how much you amused yourself!!! I loved that Angel with the bell, have a weakness for all things angelic
Those gorgeous dishes are from FES, Morocco! Unreal factory.
ya know Pier One no longer exists, so maybe their stuff might be more collectable
Pier one exists , but only in their online store. 😍

I recently put up a hummingbird feeder and watched two hummingbirds get in a fight over it. Now I know why! Lol
I can't wait for your Goodwill hauls..I love watching you shop..
The hand sculpture is in the meditation position. I actually said om when you pick it up lol.
I thought it was interesting that as soon as you showed the Cracker Barrel set, a Cracker Barrel ad came on! Keep up the great videos. I’ve learned lots!
Cigar boxes…ppl make box purses from those.
The first orange ish colored shaker isn’t Fiestaware, I’m not sure the brand on that. The second one is homer Laughlin harlequin.
The green vase was something I would have bought as well as the hand of Budda.
The bird at 13:43 was a hobbyist piece. My mom bought a pair from a women who made them. That would have been in the 70's. They did have a mate.
Had to 😅 at punishing yourself. I've had the same self motivation conversation with myself, then that's all I see when sourcing grrr. Agree hummingbirds defending their territory so highly entertaining to watch!
That dog in the painting looks like a blue heeler cow dog to me. Cool painting!
You should have bought that feeder for the birds. I learned they love it when they can rest their feet while drinking and they are attracted to that kind of feeder.
Fes is Moroccan pottery. Prices all over the place
The first shaker you found is not Fiesta.
Random act of kindness
Please post your paint by numbers on ebay. I've been waiting for one in particular you bought awhile back. Great video as always. Stay safe.
Love those yellow floral plates. At 14:05
That sculpture is the hand of buddha in a mudra position
Hi Jo. I loved the floral plate you picked up. Marie
I would have bought the three boat paintings, too.
I loved this intro very cute. I haven’t been able to watch lately I give up trying to do this. But I still watch. My goodwill I HAVE NEVER found anything old in yet. I guess the owner keeps this stuff his self and sells. 🤣
@crazylamplady I would love the first wooden derpy cat you picked up for 99 cents! And not in a lot. He's purr-fect for my shelf of wooden derpy cats!
The metal piece with berries and the flower is a candle holder. Missing the votive cup. Nice piece.
💛💛Cracker Barrel pottery
I was at that store this afternoon & had to chuckle because the Paper Draper was still there! 🤣
I love hummingbirds, they are so cute and fun to watch and they got rid of my pigeons. My cat was sunning himself on the patio and got attacked by one as well. 😂
Cracker Barrel is usually Expensive.
The handpainted wooden box in the beginning looks like rosemaling.

Such a great variety! And I love that dog painting! Love your videos, and I’m learning so much.😍
Cracker barrel retires alot of the pieces when they sell out they don't come back I have sold alot of things from them

Grab the green glass sherberts. Nice 40s, 50s 60s glass.
That paper weight reminded me of the glass and ceramic salt rock we used to sell in the 80's and 90's at artisan shops in BC Canada.
I would have kept the cracker barrel for myself. Probably good I don't buy to sell lol
I agree
Thank you. God bless
That's a Buda's hand, very common and mass made
The carved hand is the Buddhist version oh your “praying hands”! 😉

I am really surprised that you did not take that cat that is made out of stone or marble? For $2.99. I would’ve grabbed it.
peace sign of the Lord Buddha and the pakitan cat was onyx..very expensive
