I bought a used side mirror for my Kia from EBay for $100 bucks (it was painted the same color as my car might I add) & it took me all of 10 min to install it. I know the Kia dealer would have charged me a ridiculous price to replace it. Thanks again 🙏🏾.
I was wondering, is the process the same for the 2017 optima? also my mirror has the blind spot detection, power folding, and memory. do those modules make it any more difficult?

@@JK-iu8qeI think my glass part got hit at the car wash and is now wobbling around as I drive. this is the second time it has happened, the first time the dealer fixed it for free but now it is not under warranty. Is there any way to pop a new piece of glass into the frame instead of completely removing the entire side like in the video? thanks
@@JK-iu8qe I need to replace the motor inside the mirror, I have electric folding mirrors. The driver side stopped working, getting the motor from the KIA dealership.

Did you have to have it painted? I'm looking for just the mirror part, but all i can find is BLACK.

can you take the painted frame off of the old unit and place on new or do you have to re-paint?

So you gotta replace the whole thing just to replace the glass?
no. Only glass can be replaced. If you pull the glass hard, you can pull it out and push it back in.

@@coolradio123 Flip the side mirror all the way back Pull out the shattered glass. I think you can push the new glass in.
What about replacing the painted cover? I’m sure that comes off
