Ever since i first saw a 2014 Optima, i wanted one. I didn't even know it was a KIA, I just love the look of them, especially white with tinted windows. I got one that is dark navy blue and i love it. I understand they are cheap and have known engine problems, but there's a lifetime warranty so im not too worked up about it!
I had the engine replaced under warranty/recall even though there wasn’t really a problem with it yet. But then I recently crashed the car and got another newer 2019 model. Same color/trim but this one is having AC issues and it’s already been at the dealer twice for repair but still blowing warm air after a few days. Taking it back tomorrow for try Number 3. All covered under warranty so far. I really like the way the car looks too especially with the dark tinted windows. I actually liked the 2014 model more.
I am dealing with this exact same problem on my Kia, it’s nice to be able to see what I have to deal with as far as removing some parts. I would really like to see a follow up video if you were able to do it. Thank you
I haven't purchased a bumper or wheel wells yet. Afraid to order it online because the bumper is folded for shipping and it may leave creases. When I do receive the new items I'll make a video of the install.
@@LowFlyer1200 I had to do the exact same thing..ordered the parts from carparts.com and they came in perfect shape...the bumper was "folded" just a bit on the sides, but no creases at all. I am currently painting it with paint from paintscratch.com
thanks for making this video. worth it on you tube. coz am also going through with some what same situation with my kia optima front bumper and liners issues and your video really helps alot. appreciate buddy
Good job. It pays to have patience and take your time instead of jerking on stuff. I assume you had to get the new bumper painted? Curious what a shop charges to paint one. I have a 2011 Opti I am going to have to do the same. Thanks
Justin Gonzalez - the inner fender liner, is probably what you’re talking about. You can look up parts on Kiaautoparts.com , this is the part number (86811-4C500)
I have a split on the very bottom of the thinnest part of the front bumper from the previous owner, probably hit a parking barrier. Since ive had it, ive been down some really wild roads and even a number of ATV trails.. with rocks smashing into the undercarriage, and haven't had a single problem. Honestly ive been pretty impressed with how reliable it's been (so far)
@@LowFlyer1200 yes I did it doesn’t line up quite right your video helped me to do everything else but I think I’m gonna take it to the shop and see if they get it to pop in to place
It’s amazing how much of the car is held together with simple plastic clips.
Plastic parts connected by plastic clips. That's why it's relatively cheap, compared to a Euro car. I do like my Kia though.
I have a 2015 and I am impressed with what Kia has done.
@@LowFlyer1200 not much different than Euro cars...trust me haha

King Adam - glad it was helpful. I haven’t replaced the parts yet, driving around without fender liners, but when I do I’ll make another video.

All because some tractor trailer's damn tire retreads coming off! I hit one in my 280ZX years ago, ripped off the front air dam and dented the fender!
Hi sir, can we fit 2013 bumper to 2014 model car?
Will newer style bumpers fit on 2013 optima? Like a 2016 front bumper
I would say no. Kia changed the body style from 2013 to 2016.
@@LowFlyer1200 same for the headlights? I’d like the newer style drl lights
Hello question My fender linear broke where can I buy it?
What’s that black plastic you removed after the bumper itself i need the driver side black plastic it broke was seeing what it was called

Would this work for the 2013?
I’d be guessing but probably.
Not sure when they changed the body style.
Thank you ❤
Perfect sir thank you!
This must be pretty common with KIAs. I bumped a dog at 15 mph that ran in frog me. Didn’t hurt the dog but busted my bumper and fender well came out.

- you’re welcome.
If u still have the old one, I’ll buy it from you
The old bumper? It's still on my car but when I finally change it I'll let you know. Might do it this month.
I can’t get the new one to stay on 😭
That sucks. I was afraid and expected the new, cheap bumper would be a problem. Did you get one that was shipped ‘folded’ in a box?
