After all the upgrades totally agree on the paint job. Basically new mower for half the price and properly cared for gives you years of use.
As long as you didn't throw your back out or some other joint, it is funny to watch. :)

Mine l2800 kubota made same noise (it was ptocable ,third replacement)
At least ya didnt strain so hard ya had a movement lol
Our king Cutter has the same brand gear box on it. Made the same noise brand new. So I put 50 pumps of grease in it. Still made the noise but I was happier with grease in it.
