  • Before it became Warner Bros Studios this site was the Rolls Royce factory. It had its own social club and next door was a raised miniature railway. By the time this video was taken most of the site had closed down but on Sundays a couple of former members would show up and run their locos
    I think the track was last used around 1987. Now all gone. This was the first time I steamed my Sweet Pea loco after buying it the day before for 600 quid, it was a bit of a dog and never steamed too well, probably because of the steel boiler...I embarrassed myself at the Colney Heath track by running out of steam! Was never invited back again

    This was the first time I steamed my Sweet Pea loco after buying it the day before. It was cheap, think I paid 600 quid for it, but it was a bit of a dog, poorly built and with a steel boiler. Never steamed very well. It embarrassed me once at the Colney Heath track by running out of steam. We were not asked back again! But I had some fun with it.
