So many relatable things that may or may not happened when you were little but dang it makes you feel like it. I also love the soundtrack.
I can't believe they made such a basic mistake. They use stock footage too so unless that was incorrectly labelled in the database they're using then someone at Federator must have typed in "New Zealand flag waving" in their stock footage subscription service and thought "They're the same? No?".
I'm not a parent, have no intention of being one, and I'm the biggest Bluey advocate in a 100 miles radius with ease This show is everything I didn't have growing up, and its message should be as widespread a freacking possible
I believe another reason why Bluey is so popular, especially among adults, is because it shows a positive, healthy family. A good amount of people don’t experience that growing up and it gives them a happy window to look into.
I use it to live vicariously through Bluey and Bingo. My childhood and early adulthood has been...rough, and I was never very close to my family. Seeing Bluey and Bingo with parents that love each other in a stable household is comforting I guess.
I like it because it has good lessons for both kids and adults. Kids learn about things like death is unavoidable and it's out of our hands and parents learn the importance of playing with your kids and how they don't have to be perfect parents
i'm a strong believer in the statement that "if a kids' show can ONLY be enjoyed by kids, it's not a good kids' show," bluey is a GREAT kids' show with these rules.
I love how the child voice actors are not public. There have been so many kids who were on shows such as Barney who get bullied when they get older. Protect their identity until THEY (as adults) choose to declare themselves.
96. DO NOT CHANGE THE VOICE ACTORS. The Australian accent is perfect and perfectly understood. I see no reason why Disney suggest to change it, change it to what? American or British? Its still English, English is English. Plus its set in Australia.
It definitely is silly, but reminded me of the time I was babysitting for a kid. We watched Christmas Swim, where Bluey gets Bartelby. I pronounced it "Bar-tell-bee" and then the kid yelled at me, correcting ke by saying "It's BOTTLE-BEE"

But changing the voices٫ just to make it MORE AMERICAN?! What. The. HECK? It's like you have no respect for places other than GOOD OL' AMERICA! Ok٫ being realistic٫ I have no idea what Disney is thinking. Imagine an Aussie coming to America٫ going on Disney+٫ getting super excited that Bluey is on Disney+٫ only to realize instead of the authentic Aussie accents that even us Americans know and love٫ are just cheap American accents. Also٫ Bluey has SO MANY references and nods to Australia. If you've seen the episode Explorers٫ think of the line Jack's dad says at the very end. "Yeah mate٫ this is Australia." That line was so amazing٫ especially with the wholesome Aussie accents that make you know that this is a wholesome Aussie show. Now٫ imagine some random American saying it. Idk what Disney is trying to do, having the accents and references is good for kids in the US, it shows them more of the world and also that we aren’t that much different from each other, gives it more of a learning experience for them
Yea it’s annoying how they censor things like the kids won’t know what the adult talk is about they will find the poop jokes funny because they’re children they find stuff like that funny

I’m 16 and let’s just say bluey is my comfort show I binged watch season 1 at first and I was like I LOVE IT. it kind of brings the inner child out of me
As a senior in their final semester of art school (animation major) i’ve got to say that Bluey, as a whole has been very inspirational. The fact that they use Photoshop when creating the show. So much happens in every single episode. Literally, each episode is essentially a short film. And don’t even get me started on the lessons that the show teaches not only children but adults.
Ludo studios have confirmed that bluey is secretly made for adults. They confirmed it in a q&a video, when that question was asked, they said yes and no at the same time (the answers for the questions were yes and no, nothing else)
Yeah and this video said it was made to be enjoyed by the whole family. And given it isn't patronizing to kids, I can see why. And they don't make the adults naive or altruistic like in most kids shows
Im 24 with no kids or even young kids around and i watch Bluey. Its conforting and i often like to use it to fall asleep to. My anxiety doesnt let me sleep in silence so i usually need some background noise and lately its been Bluey
I am learning every time I watch this with my son I love the concept of the show and how refreshing it is it doesn't victimize anyone it has the message of there's no bad people just bad actions
I watch Bluey along with my mom despite the the fact I’m 26. We both find the show to be adorable with everything, from the character’s accents to the action and imagination of the girls. God this show is precious.
My favorite tiny detail about this show is that Bandit is an archeologist and Chili is an airport security worker. They're dogs whose actual jobs are digging stuff up and sniffing things.
Bluey did not took inspiration from Peppa Pig, it pretty much was "step aside mate, I'll show you how an actually good, even great family cartoon looks like".
I wasn’t expecting one of these videos to be made about this show, mainly because it isn’t Western Animation like most popular cartoons. But here we are, wow, I can’t believe Bluey has become this popular in such a short amount of time. I mean, when I started watching it a year ago, I barely had no one to talk to about it. And now there are millions of people who sit down and watch this show. 2023 is the year for Bluey, I can’t wait to see this future for this show.
I think the thong/flip flop issue is so silly. In the USA there are regional preferences but I think we all know what the other word means in context. Like soda/pop. And she's showing off the shoes when she says it, it's not like she's twerking.
Kids learn stuff from TV and apparently kids might call them thongs and adults whom doesn't understand what it means could think the kid is actually talking about a thong
Please, we are talking about the country that thought necessary to chance Japanese rice balls to doughnuts as to "not confuse the children" or something
I’m so glad that Ludo didn’t agree to dubbing the Australian voice actors like Disney wanted. I think kids need to be aware of different accents and languages so they can be educated and by the time they are adults they don’t bat an eye when they hear someone that speaks differently then they do. Besides the Australian accents and the many different Australian landmarks and words in Bluey makes the show what it is today.
"Work on their heads later, for now, just their hearts." - Chilli Heeler Honestly, it's about time that we got a show that focuses on emotional intelligence & health. With how it's never really been a subject in kids shows until now, it's no wonder why adults flock to it, as well. It has plenty of lessons that even adults have to re-learn throughout our lives, especially when it comes to decentralizing ourselves and not putting down the emotions of others - especially children.
I love this show so much. My kids and I watch it together. I strongly believe that every parent should watch it. I thought I was good at playing but I’ve learned so much. And I have learned to stop caring what other people think when I play with my kids. It’s not what they think that matters. It’s my daughters.
Two of my favourite facts about this show that the Bluey character is based on the creator’s childhood dog and the whole show is based on the creator’s family life ❤
Like many people I got into Bluey in 2023… I have no regrets. If Velma is a cartoon for adults, it’s an Immature Adult cartoon; if Bluey is a show for kids, it’s an incredibly Mature Kids show

I'm so glad you covered Bluey! Bluey became one of my favourite shows. It's just wholesome, funny and relaxing. This show is just so sweet and intelligent.
Bluey kind of reminded me of Arthur (the earlier episodes). Both are down to earth, and enjoyable to watch. What makes Bluey better is that there is no DW.

This year, Bluey is helping me live around the reality of my son's death in 2019. Each year I find one good aspect of my life to focus on. This year it's episodes of Bluey. I'm a 54 year old English teacher from Australia, and I find any excuse to use Bluey in my classroom.
18:32 There is ONE episode where Australian thongs are mentioned. Season 1, Episode 9, “Horsey Ride”, early on, Bluey’s aunt Trixie and her cousin Muffin point out Muffin’s sandals to Chilli, which is possibly the only media that can be seen in the US in which a toddler says “Look, Auntie, I’m wearing thongs!”
Here's another fact during the shows very early production Rusty a recurring red Kelpie on the show was originally going to be the main protagonist but they then gave it to bluey otherwise the show would have been called "Rusty"
Bonus Facts : a Australian icon , OG Blue Wiggle Anthony Field appear as a voice over in 2 episodes Mail Clerk and as Rusy's Dad in the Episode "Army" which Anthony was a part of the Australian Army from 1982 - 85. And The Wiggles would make a cameo in a background of one Episode
This is the second time I’ve seen a video about bluey and when they mention Australia, they show the New Zealand flag. The NZ flag has the southern cross on it, a constellation only seen in the Southern Hemisphere, but the stars are red. Our flag has the same thing but the stars are white.
These are the facts I wished they would actually have in these videos, not stuff like "number 1 this guy writes it. Number 2 then it's gets made into a story board" it's like they don't care about what they make anymore on this channel
Likewise for One Man Went to Mow (aka the song Bingo always sings on the toilet) and In the Land of the Hanky Panky (a song Wendy sings sometimes when she is onscreen, especially in Ragdoll and Copycat).
This show is a masterpiece An evocative, pleasant, realistic, hearthwarming, hilarious, stellar, brilliant, admirable, praiseworthy, outstandingly TRASCENDENTAL MASTERPIECE carefully ellaborated with a fair amount of love, effort and care. Bless it, for real life!
You might as well build a church called the church of bluey and build a statue of it if everyone likes it that much, maybe you can bring more attention to the bluey fans more😍
One of my favorite Easter eggs in "Movies" where after the trailer is over it shows the letters BRM with white bars which resemble the THX logo and even sound! Also I love that Bluey is afraid of thunderstorms because dogs are lol
You guys should cover more of not just Australian animation, but the animation industry in countries outside the US too; you've done it with French animation, when you covered Miraculous and Totally Spies long back.
I actually seen the episode where Muffins says "Hey Aunt Chilli! I'm wearing thongs." On Disney Channel. Looks like they didn't censor/Americanize it to Flip Flops.
it’s mentioned bluey is a smash hit from Australia but you show a New Zealand flag 🇳🇿 and then continues to show the New Zealand flag each time Australia is mentioned.
It's funny how in English you can't tell if they are boys or girls, but for example in Polish, you can spot it in every sentences because conversations show the genders. If you talk to someone, you have to modify the sentence to the gender of the person you talk to
7:08 Bluey made it to just CBeebies, not CBBC as the logo on screen implies. CBeebies isn't the same thing as CBBC. CBeebies is its own separate channel for a pre-school audience of under 6. While CBBC is the BBC's other kids' channel for ages 6 to 12. CBBC first launched as a block (a block meant for all kids) in September 1985 before it became a channel on February 11, 2002, the same day as the launch of CBeebies. CBeebies was created as a split from the CBBC brand. Yes, you're probably wondering why the Supreme Leader would know all this and the answer is quite simply, it is important to know your enemy.
I hope you cover some of the physical games as well. I know the board games are generally common knowledge, but I think I remember some Gen One scratch off games about the Pokémon Tower that would make an interesting segment.
I'm interested to see if and how Bluey chooses to tackle more hard topics in the future, kind of like those "tough talk" special episodes Sesame Street does every now and again
It really feels like parents made this for their kids with the amount of care taken in every part of the production process. This is how shows should be
Cheese and crackers! Going straight for the Thong bit, and skipping the BBQ episode? Swappin' out the natural Australian flow of the word Capsicum for Bell Pepper or just Pepper was awkward as heck.
Someone must’ve been a Footrot flats fans and that’s why Mackenzie is Kiwi (New Zealand), the main character is a dog named Dog who is the same breed as Mackenzie.
There actually is a scene where someone calls flip flops thongs! I forget which episode, but the girls’ younger cousin Muffin says “look aunt chili! I’m wearing thongs!”

@@donalds980Poor Little Bug (On the Wall)
@@Jaz3z3Agreed. There are even facts that can be a single fact instead of split into several facts. Like everything regarding Dave McCormack.
Likewise for One Man Went to Mow (aka the song Bingo always sings on the toilet) and In the Land of the Hanky Panky (a song Wendy sings sometimes when she is onscreen, especially in Ragdoll and Copycat).
This show is a masterpiece
An evocative, pleasant, realistic, hearthwarming, hilarious, stellar, brilliant, admirable, praiseworthy, outstandingly TRASCENDENTAL MASTERPIECE carefully ellaborated with a fair amount of love, effort and care.
Bless it, for real life!
my my, someone's rather verbose today, regardless, the show deserves all the praise you're giving it
You might as well build a church called the church of bluey and build a statue of it if everyone likes it that much, maybe you can bring more attention to the bluey fans more😍
It’s pretty wholesome
@@LindaStansAriandNicki Trust me, that exists (it's ironical though)
@@velocityraptor2890 I'll take that as a compliment, thank you
Fun fact, at the end of #9 (2:32) the dog shown is not a Kelpie but a Beauceron which is a working dog from France, not Australia.
“Bingo and her mum, Chilli are red heelers” Steals Adult Bingo fanart for Bingo
I actually seen the episode where Muffins says "Hey Aunt Chilli! I'm wearing thongs." On Disney Channel. Looks like they didn't censor/Americanize it to Flip Flops.
Bro, what😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

*Brandy kills bingo*
Brandy: I AM THE NEW BINGO
0:49 “small town in Australia” *shows the New Zealand flag* to be fair they are very similar but that is the New Zealand flag not the Australian one
Bro I’m so glad to know Joe Brumm hates Disney censoring as much as we do
it’s mentioned bluey is a smash hit from Australia but you show a New Zealand flag 🇳🇿 and then continues to show the New Zealand flag each time Australia is mentioned.
Bluey is the type of kids show that stands out from the others
I’m 25 years old with no kids and I love Bluey. It’s so comforting and sweet not to mention it’s funny and it’s not condescending either
They also showed the USA's abc kids logo instead of Australia's... and the New Zealand flag... a lot.
Not only does Brumm's mother voices Bandit's mother, theyre also both called Chris!
Also one of the storyboard artists is Greasy Tales!
I never really relied how lucky I am to be in Australia bcs not only do we have all the episodes we also don't have any censors
Im almost a teenager but I can’t stop watching this show
Yas, tysm for making this video. Bluey is so good! Bingo, Muffin, and Socks are my favorites.
I love Muffin! She's a little dynamo!
A fact that should have been next to the censor fact... on the season 1&2 DVD of Bluey the Australian version are intact
Good to see that bluey is getting more popular it’s such a good shiw
I love that the creator included members of his family in the creation of the show
i love how every time he says australia it shows the new zealand flag
Fact #4 actually isn't true, since Braum has gone on record in a Q&A saying that his dog ISN'T the reason why Bluey is a blue heeler!
Bluey has set a new standard far above anything before it in the realm of children's programming.
Funny, in the episodes “Horsey Ride” and “The Pool” here in the States and on Disney+, the word thongs is left intact.
"Brumm himself is from Australia"
(shows the New Zealand Flag)
the smash hit from australia
*proceeds to show new zealand*
9:59 Bandit's food placement💀
I hope you cover some of the physical games as well. I know the board games are generally common knowledge, but I think I remember some Gen One scratch off games about the Pokémon Tower that would make an interesting segment.
As an Australian, this hurts SO MUCH to watch lol
Ignore the Stars… It’ll be OK
LIKE SO MUCH THIS FELT LIKE SOME HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY IT HURTS WE DONT CALL THONGS PLUG WHATEVERS WHAT!
I HAVE LIVED IN AUSTRALIA MY WHOLE LIFE AND NEVER ONCE HAVE I HEARD THAT TERM WHAT!
@@StarryScribbles pluggers is admittidly a localized qld thing
@@trapper9998 ahh aight imma perthian
I’ve started watching it last week and I’m loving it so far.
I'm interested to see if and how Bluey chooses to tackle more hard topics in the future, kind of like those "tough talk" special episodes Sesame Street does every now and again
"Heartwarming"
I can't remember the last show that really nailed this like _Bluey_ does.
I love the line "clutching their pearls". hahaha @19:15
...From Australia "Shows New Zealand Flag"
It really feels like parents made this for their kids with the amount of care taken in every part of the production process. This is how shows should be
"the smash hit from Australia" shows the New Zealand flag
Cheese and crackers! Going straight for the Thong bit, and skipping the BBQ episode? Swappin' out the natural Australian flow of the word Capsicum for Bell Pepper or just Pepper was awkward as heck.
Thank you frederator my idea was amazing all time
I LOVE BLUEYYYYYY
Don't forget the homestuck references! Most of the crew are homestucks!
Someone must’ve been a Footrot flats fans and that’s why Mackenzie is Kiwi (New Zealand), the main character is a dog named Dog who is the same breed as Mackenzie.
I didn't pick up on this. Thanks for pointing it out :)
"The smash-hit from Australia"
**SHOWS NEW ZEALAND FLAG**
Australians: **CRIKEY STOPS**
Disney every time: "Hey Change Everything about your show."
Creators everytime: "Hey. How about No."
What's with Disney and wanting unnecessary changes?
There actually is a scene where someone calls flip flops thongs! I forget which episode, but the girls’ younger cousin Muffin says “look aunt chili! I’m wearing thongs!”
@ChannelFrederator at 0:07 That's the New Zealand flag NOT the Australian flag, mate. Like @Avery the Cuban-American says ' The Kiwi flag has red stars while the Aussie flag has white stars. The Aussie flag also has a big seven-pointed star under the Union Jack called the Commonwealth Star (to represent the six original states of Australia and a seventh point for the territories)'
this is more of a timeline than 107 facts haha! love the video
I Love Bluey
I don't even have kids and I really enjoy this show it's amazing I just wish I could see the original Australian version of the show than what Disney decides to censor or take away

wow gotta admit, man has some godlike power to not only say no to Disney but have them backpedal as well!
Mad Max deja vu all over again.
first seeing this on my homepage i just go say AWWWWW💙🧡 and proceed watch it mediately
