The brake strobe shown in this video is from our SMART Triple Play. Depending on your year & model you could use a Magic Strobes or Triple Play module to add 10 different brake flash/strobe patterns to the rear lights when the brake is applied.
These turn signals are two wire (power/ground wires only) so they can only be wired to function as brake lights only. To have them function as running lights, brake lights & turn signals the SMART Triple Play is required.

Will I need the smart triple play for the mini signals to also be brake lights?

Can I mount these on the front and back using 2 pairs of straight mounting brackets, or do I need one straight pair and one pair of L shaped? Thanks
Typically, we'd recommend L bracket for the front and Straight bracket for the rear.
