    Nice video.
    Owned my 2015 SuperTenere ES for 32 months and 34,000 miles. 61,000 on the odometer now. I've replaced fork seals, drive hub seal, front brake switch, tour/sport switch. It's never left me stranded. 45mpg solo, 50mpg with my wife on back. I ride back to back 10 hour days without discomfort. Custom saddle, ecu reflash, bar risers, tall windscreen with puig wing. I love this bike for interstate touring as well as playing on forest service roads occasionally. I'm 6'4" tall, 250#. This bike fits me, my riding style. It's planted and comfortable for all day rides on highway, backroads, twisties, or interstate. If mine disappeared today, I would buy another SuperTenere ES and immediately reflash the ecu.

    My 2022 ES has a planted low center of gravity feel that makes it very flickable with short turning circle. The steering geometry is very upright even with 19 inch front. I ride curvy roads and can keep up with the sport touring bikes. Correct tires, rider skill, and suspension settings required. Quick shift, IMU ABS, custom rider mode, and dynamic suspension would be nice to have on next upgrade.

    It's surprising how little reviews there are of this motorcycle. I've got a mt03 right now and have been trying to decide if I want to stick with the mt line or go with some other type of motorcycle. Finally found a dealer with one of these and it sat and sounded amazing. Just need to find an mt 10 somewhere to really know what will work best for next season.

    hi, just a point on suspension, the tension an compression is in both front an back, and the pre-load it´s of course in back system...excellent review anyway, congrats!

    If it is so great, why did you not purchase one? I myself have the 2023 Super Tenere, traded in my Triumph T120 Bonneville 1200cc in for it. The Tenere is heavy and lays flat if it falls in the Garage let's say. I could not get it up by myself, so will have to work on a technique for that. Thinking of the handlebar method. You can't lift it with your back to the bike, it lays too flat for that. Otherwise love the bike so far.

      Great question, and the truth is, I've had adventure bikes too recently to make the switch back this soon. I just purchased an old school Yamaha Roadstar Warrior like 3 months ago and I'm having a lot of fun being rowdy with the power cruiser. Tenere 1200 is actually on my short list for my next bike! (unless a 2009 and up VMAX appears, which is the bike that I will buy the day I find regardless of what I'm riding or how long I've had it)

    I have Tenere 700 World Raid and my buddy just got this beauty the Super Tenere 1200. I wish I had known about this bike before I bought mine. The Super Tenere 1200 is much better bike for me. The World Raid feels much heavier than the Super Ten. Also, the riding on the Super Ten is better.

    Forgive my ignorance but can the motorcycle be negatively affected or damaged if you always keep it in the same driving mode? Either tour or sport mode? I hope someone can clear my doubt
    Great video!

      @TEAMPOWERSPORTS  9 місяців тому +2

      Keeping it in the same drive mode all the time will not cause any negative effects, nor damage. The only caveat to that is if you buy a brand new one, during the "break-in" period you'll want to use all modes and all features of the bike to make sure everything is wearing evenly, and functioning properly.

      @@TEAMPOWERSPORTS it makes a lot of sense, I don't know why I thought it was like a "bad" thing using only one, but definitely need to use all modes and features to make sure everything is working properly. Damn, I learned more between our 2 chats than in an entire conversation with my friends and fam! Thank your for your guidance with this and the Africa Twin, I'm really really grateful with you

    Would this make a good sport touring?

    • @TEAMPOWERSPORTS
      @TEAMPOWERSPORTS  10 місяців тому

      Great question, and honestly its kind of hard to answer. Its not as sporty as the true sport-touring bikes, like the Concours, FJR, T9GT, etc. but, with the right set of tires and the right rider, you could get a lot of capability out of this bike.

    • @is3260
      @is3260 9 місяців тому

      No, XT1200 is a dual sport compromise design, not a true sport tourer. The FJ1300, BMW RT1250, or similar in terms of rider and pillion comfort, steering geometry, luggage, wind protection, engine smoothness, suspension, and road features are superior for "on road" use. I own a 22 ST and have ridden others. Buy a motorcycle based on what you intend to do with it and what you need.

      I just traded in my 2019 R1250RT on a 2023 Super Tenere 1200 last Sat. So far loving this bike. looking for better reliability and lower cost of maintenance. It is not quite as sporty as my RT was but it will meet my long distance riding style and annual trips.

      Tracer 9 should do the job

    • @SAB-iq1kp
      @SAB-iq1kp 9 місяців тому

      The short answer is no. Its not a sport tourer. It can do high speeds,210 kph with passenger and 3 cases, very stable. But on the twisties a rider with a tracer 9gt or a bmw s1000xr will leave you in the dust if you want to do a cock measuring contest. In normal day to day riding, when you just want to have fun with your mates the bike will keep up with anything. The pluses of the tenere are comfort, reliability, the fact that it can take you to that nice camping site on the mountain with ease, it will not feel bad roads like a sport tourer, the fuel consumption is great(i got 5.5l/100km in 7000km touring Europe 2up). If you want more sporty bike i would go for the tracer 9gt, great bike as well.

    This is a road bike. Interstate, pavement, dirt, gravel, it doesn’t matter, but it is a road bike. By the way sport mode is horrible. The throttle is way to snappy, and the engine braking is way to severe. If you buy this bike ride it in touring mode or remap the Ecu.
    In case you didn’t notice, she wasn’t riding in sport mode. She was riding in touring mode.

      A flash does wonders, first thing you should do IMHO.

      A big second to the ECU flash. A bit more power, but linear and smoother. The experience is so much better.
