In the past year, I went from not caring about Jennie because I felt that she gets overhyped to really respecting her because she is genuinely talented and gets so much unnecessary hate for the little things. I’m not surprised that she’s been trying to be more private nowadays because I would too if I were in her position in life.
jennie is such a strong woman, no one deserves the amount of hate she still receives every day. i also have never seen another idol who got injury shamed" like that. when other idols have physical- or mental problems their stans are quick to support them. yet this whole disaster with jennie happened. her recurring ankle injuries are not a joke and something to be taken seriously. also it were international stans who started this whole crap, luckily koreans normally love and support her.
Idols dating being an issue frustrates me to no end. I get fans have images in their minds of these perfect (mostly female) idols but that is unfair them. Yes, focus on work is important but for them to only focus on work, which in the case of idols can be 24/7 is how they end up burnt out.
Do Kpop fans, Knetizens and anyone else realize that idols' personal life (such as who they date and fuck etc) are none of their business? I'm super confused about the level of invested attention in their personal life, especially the K-pop girl groups who got criticized more than their counterparts.
People thought Irene was shy and innocent, but reveluvs just knew that she is actually very outspoken and will call something or someone out immediately if she thinks it's her place to do so. We'll never know what truly happened that day but I think I can trust the Irene we know and idk I just know she didn't just brat out, she probably had a reason. I'm not saying she reacted well, but I'm also not going go to 100% believe something a stranger said (very emotionally may I add) about someone I've seen (through a screen, to be fair) grown for 7 years
Not talking about the attitude controversy, but I always found the ageist comments about Irene and proportion shaming gross as well as that time people sent her threats for reading a feminist book that many other idols have read.

One thing I hate about kpop fan is wanting their idol to be “real” and “honest” but when the idol being real and honest they will get hate for it like wtf??? idol is a human being so them acting like and actual human being should be normalise (dating,being lazy,curse,drinking ect) don’t alway expect them to act like a a perfect and flawless doll in ur fantasies that u have projected onto them let them have their own life for once😐🤷♀️
