That’s a curved bladed knife takedown. If you sneak up behind someone with a curved blade you will start the takedown by cutting the tendons in the back of their legs.
Aside from the occasional crash, this game is very fun with a couple lads, we EMPed the hell out of a behemoth drone until each of us stuck a full inventory of C4(leading to 40 C4 if you use both Mk 1 and 2), detonated it with a rocket launcher, and the game crashed so hard for all of us and it was just 5 minutes of laughter between us. You can either sneak around like a shadow in the night and take out everyone without a peep, you could go hardcore stealth and kill no one, complete the objective, get out, without so much as a sound, or you could play ghost division as you blast open the front gate and go in guns blazing with the lads.

Is the detection different in breakpoint than wildlands? Cause if i shoot an enemy in wildlands and there's another enemy anywhere near the enemy I shot, regardless if I'm using a suppressor or not, every enemy in the area knows exactly where I am.
yea it’s significantly different, depends on how close the dude is and if you shoot someone near an enemy they just get startled/alerted and look in the direction of the shot, they don’t detect you tho unless they’ve spotted you already
It depends on the distance of how far away your shot is too in wildlands realistically you will here a gunshot even with a suppressor at closer ranges especially so its not realistic to shoot someone next to someone and they not see it or to be in a base and shot without noone hearing it I feel like wildlands does it better but that's my opinion
As I've played wildlands i have started to play much more tactical then I do on BP, In BP because of the way the detection is I can practically rush through a base real quickly

Yes. On paper this looks fun. Explaining to someone that your can stun guys and take them out with a knife and enter a base without anyone ever seeing you enter or leave sounds amazing. But in reality after about 200 hours your gonna get tired and just wanna shoot people loudly and let them call reinforcements. 🤷🏼♂️
Silencers are kinda broken in this game. I could see submachine guns and pistols being this quiet but the rest would still be quite loud even suppressed. Take the suppressors off everything but pistols and subs and it's a different experience.
Pistols and SMG's would also make a lot of noise. I've fired many weapons in my time, including suppressed handguns and rifles, this idea that suppressors make gunshots quiet is 100% Hollywood BS. Putting a suppressor on your weapon basically makes it quiet enough to continuously shoot without hearing protection and not worry too much about hearing loss, but it's still loud. In the real world you would only benefit from a suppressor at range, it reduces the sound enough that if you're far away then maybe it wouldn't be heard or it would be tough to tell where it came from because it also reduces muzzle flash. It may also be useful in urban environments where you don't want to cause a panic across an entire district. But as far as this game is concerned, I like to pretend like they're using some sort of futuristic suppression tech. There's a lot of other future tech in this game so it makes sense. I do think you're right though, it makes it too easy sometimes.
