In my opinion, the best 7 to smoke battle was in 2015 when the best beatboxers like Dharni, Alem, alexinho, B-art, K.I.M etc participated in it and they showed their best

He only has a minute per round. And this round was pretty filthy
IMO D-Koy had a slight edge because he was more intense and hungry, better in a shorter round. Napom is so well-developed that he sometimes comes across slightly bored (aka not hungry for the win) which is not a bad thing, but I think he shines in longer-format battles. That being said his round was super clean and polished, where D-Koy's was more of an edgy hype energy. Anyway I've been really enjoying this 8 to Smoke seeing some new faces, and Bloomer/Inertia's winning streaks have been super enjoyable to watch.

As much as napom didnt do anything crazy or new, he did what he did cleanly..
D-koy made some mistakes... but he was trying to hype the crowd.. getting a crowd reaction is almost just as important as technique in these battles..
Often you see the person with more hype gets the win..
And I agree battling does include your audience.. but sacrificing your timing and clarity by having too much energy is something that can happen sometimes.
I dont know why Napom not bring his routine which he used vs Wunknown, that routine absolute monster!
that seems to be a running thing. beatboxers show these amazing routines, then just never do them

The experienced one has an arsenal which he chooses from at his will...and knows when the best time to be reserved is..
@@testsubjectt001 thing is, some of napom's amazing new routines i have only seen once.... and during not so huge competitions... before his huge battle against Alexinho for like the world title....
Even in major battles he didn't use it, know why? Because it was freestyle. Sometimes they'll do things off the top of the head that is hard to replicate and retain . It was totally dependent on the groove he was in, and that's what made it awesome.

No offense of course by saying this, it’s just my observation:
I think Napom realizes that he can’t continue doing the same beats that he got popular with, so he has to make new ones, and he is trying to adjust his style to be more different and compete with the new school. I think he just needs some more time to make new routines, because this is mostly just freestyle.

Inertia > dkoy > bloomer > inertia
Everybody complaining about biased judging when this is the first battle so far that Nape has won. I think D-Koy lost because, although he may have had a more crowd-appealing routine, the judges appreciated Nape's polyrhythmic style more in terms of difficulty and individuality.
Lots of BBX'ers are good at fast/technical stuff. Not many try to do 2 beats on top of each other nearly all of the time.
I mean, yeah, the judges are friends of NaPoM, but it seems like ALL of the East Coast scene are friends lol, so I'd say it's pretty fair judging.
People have seemed to hop on this bandwagon idea of, "Nape has already won so much, now he's washed up." When in reality, the man is still adopting new styles and combining them with his old ones to try and make judge-friendly & crowd-friendly routines. He's still a god and you can't deny it.
...but this is all coming from a serious NaPoM fanboy so :P
