He's using tongue bass and it's pretty easy to change rhythm, but his bass and transitioning is very clean, making it exponentially better.

Honestly I disagree with this one. D-koy is fucking sick, but inertia came at it with more flow and diversity. He repeated inward bass multiple times yes, but obviously it was done differently. D-Koy doesn’t have a lot of power on stage compared to inertia, BUT D-Koy’s whistles were fucking sick no lie. It just seems like D-Koy doesn’t have as much live battling experience. Let me know what you guys think, anyway that was a sick battle, MAXIMUM RESPECT for D-Koy and BIG UPS to inertia. Love you guys❤️

How in Sam fuck did D-Koy win? Damn. This is upsetting. Well done by D-Koy, but I don't see it the same way as the judges on this one. I think he won because his extra round sounded like mark Martin.
Cheebusal kinda have to disagree with you . If we’re talking just about overtime , inertia has almost 0 structure whereas D Koy had a more solid structure and flow that actually made sense .
I can see that, but I wasn't referring to the overtime itself. i was meaning that there shuoldn't have been an overtime in the first place.
well I personally thought that the 1st round wasn't anything impressive from both of them but then D-Koy brought those laser that even Ball-Zee would be proud of then Inertia countered with the same old inward bass drop that he does but he built it up in a way where it was just irresistible. I'm fairly certain a overtime was sensible.

Here's why D-Koy won....and why you disagree with the decision: Lets start with why he won: Complete Package. D-Koy brought it all and then some in this battle. What do i mean? Well lets start by saying both have great structure and flow. That goes without question. But D-Koy was diverse in his structure and flow as well as sound usage and placement. Details matter more than any sick drop. In D-Koy's first round he played with the flow like a puppet on a string. Even using silence to fill in the place of snares to add a sense of delay and off time...while staying completely on time (1:05). He manipulated his flow with much more diversity, and was incredibly creative with his usage of under used techniques such as the dragged duck sound, his use of pops and his ta ka de gle structure was so solid that he was able to literally make a quick combination of simple vocalized "words" to sound sick. And thats just his first round.
D-Koy's second round was such a unique and swaggy way to use chest bass and whistles that we dont usually hear. He took his time, didnt just rush in balls to the wall and hope it was enough. Listen to how he intentionally started very stripped down and vulnerable with the whistle to set the atmosphere at 3:30 before going into the style of beat that you just cant help but smile and move your body to while utilizing a solid chest bass and the whistle to continue the atmosphere he already set at the beginning of the round (3:38), while adding an additional punch. Not to mention his stage presence (in both rounds) was much better than Inertia's. He absolutely out performed him and owned the stage. HE EVEN MADE A MISTAKE INTO A TRANSITION CLEANER THAN MOST PLANNED FLOW TRANSITIONS! At 4:25 he CLEARLY missed a sound but used that as a pause to switch flow while keeping tempo....which allowed him to almost completely hide his mistake and allow for him to show more diversity.
Now onto why you think Inertia should have won: Crazy tech and sick drops right? Beatboxing isnt all about that. Inertia has the street cred and has a certain reputation, so alot of you may be upset he lost and think he should have won due to the bias you have as someone who is a fan of his. You can be a fan of someone and still judge them objectively. It isnt easy but with practice we can all do it. After this i will explain why Inertia lost, dont get upset, instead, listen back to his rounds and look for what i pointed out (do the same for D-Koy) and truly evaluate what he did before you say that D-Koy should have lost.
But hear me out. Inertia is dope, but he sounded mostly the same except for his hype drop in his second round. His flows were very similar in each round, trap...but even trap in essentially the same tempo. And we all can see that he relied alot on inward bass and trap flows. Both rounds either started trap or ended trap. He lacked in diversity in flow and sound.
Now the overtime. You may not think it...but Inertia hand fed D-Koy the win in the OT by doing yet another trap flow and then rushing to do a fast beat when there was 10sec left. D-Koy took his time and vibed the entirety of his OT round. He didnt rush when his time was almost up, paced himself and kept the vibe while still showing a great sound pallet.
Overall the battle was insane and i agree wholeheartedly with the decision. I know regardless of what i say there will be those that disagree. And that is fine. We all have our thoughts and opinions and growth is formed by communication. So let me know what you think about what i had to say, and let me know what you had to say.
