Literally wanted to write the same thing, unfortunately would rather not do reviews of other surfaces, because it would be too much, but anyway this channel is a mine of knowledge about football boots
Morelia 2 needs an upgrade on the soleplate, for wide feet they've always been a hazard for ankles due to the back studs being too close to each other, I've rolled my ankle so many times in them I just stopped wearing them, I'd love to see them release a full leather upper with a modern soleplate that's not a limited edition like the DNA or Wave Cup.
@@E_PluribusUnum For me I prefer the shape and fit of the boot and I also think it's a better balanced package overall than the Furon. Furon is still a GREAT boot, but, Tekela for me is probably one of my top 3 boots this year.
The Adidas F50 Messi Elite is my overall boot of the year. It’s waaaay more comfortable out of the box than the regular variation, and as a wide footer is the first speed boot from the big 3 that I could actually wear for more than 15 minutes. I have the Predator FT as well, and as fun as those are to hit a ball with, I’m not a fan of the shape and fit, took many a session to break in. Phantom GX 2 with the AG plate is also a banger that deserves a shoutout.
For me it’s an adidas predator Beckham edition. The passing and shooting feel so much better and the power generated with it is insane. I’m a striker so I don’t need dribbling as much but I do love dribbling and am planning on getting next Messi edition f50s to wear
10:00 now that is incredible ... i've followed the football boot industry for almost 20 years and i have stopped playing the sport for a long time now and still followed the scene. And i have to say, this absolute monstrosity of a shoe is the ugliest piece of design i have ever witnessed. What a horrendous day to have eyes
All encompassing as a line, I think Adidas did a phenomenal job with F50! Within that line of Elite options, I think there's something for everybody. I also love that fact that unlike so many lines of football boots that over time lose sight of what they once were, these genuinely relate back to the originals when it comes to feel! I don't view this the same way I do a tier list
Hi! I need your help 🙏🏼😊 I am choosing whether i go for morelia 2 or predator 25 (i want to prioritize control and comfort) I have a wide feet, my pinky toe often hurts and i hurt my mid foot area while playing. My most recent boot was the phantom gx 2 . Thank you ❤
If you need width and didn't like the tapered shaping of the toe box on the Phantoms, Preds probably aren't the best choice. Morelia 2 would certainly be more comfortable IMO
I feel like in best value F50 Pro should at least be mentioned. You are able to get them for 70dollars on sale and they are basically the same as the Elites. Crazy good value!
Hi, I was just wondering what are some boots that have a thin upper and offer that barefoot feel. I’m a keeper and this massively helps me when taking goal kicks. Any advice on some boots I should be looking at?
F50s, Mercs, Puma Ultra 5, Mizuno Alpha, and Sokito Scudetta would all be great options just to name a few. A thin upper and barefoot feel is pretty much what you're going to get from the majority of "speed" boots, so beyond that, there are a few other things to consider in order to narrow it down 👍
So adidas get rid of the f50 and pred, and yet they spent the entire time those boots were gone essential retuning to that philosophy, actually insane business approach
I didn’t see that coming, I was hyped for the new f50 but it wasn’t the boot of the year the finished product wasn’t bad but it’s not great. I would rank it B tier personally.
My prediction before watching is f50s bc they are so overhyped. I tried them on at a store (the elites) and they felt like a lighter version of my superfly 9 academys.
It's solid, but certainly not the main focus of the design. The heel is very secure, but in terms of giving you that locked in, responsive feel, you need to add structure to the upper. This boot definitely sacrifices structure in the name of comfort. They definitely wouldn't feel as responsive as a Neo does.
@Soccerreviewsforyou thanks for reply but not worth chancing. Which do you prefer for ag surface? Mizuno neo beta 4 elites or alpha elites? Soleplate on alphas look amazing but never worn them....
I have a massive issue with the Morelia 2, I don't know why more reviewers don't highlight it. The part where the tongue attaches to the upper, above the knuckle of the toes has some padding there, it's not flush, so when you're wearing it there is a constant pressure there, which becomes more when you bend your toes (i.e. walk/sprint). Completely ruins the boot for me whose main selling point is comfort. Not to mention the soleplate: studs are too big in radius, you're practically running on them. Big disappointment for me given the hype and shame as I really like the design and colourways. F50 Messi is the boot of the year for me. Just need a dremel to trim down the studs as it's too long for AG
I wore the 2s in a game a couple years ago. In the game, my Japanese friend on the other team was teasing me about wearing coach boots. Never had a problem with the tongue tho. But I do realize that I only really see them on coaches. Even the dudes that I know that play in them have some form of a coaching license. I use the Neos now. Softer toebox and better studs.
Strange. My Morelia 2’s feel perfect in the toe area, my biggest complaint is the area right under my left outside ankle area. Rubbed so much last game my ankle was bleeding like crazy.
@@m.mazzei I think they look fantastic, in the right colourway. The leather for me was softer than the neo 4's. There's less stitching in the toebox so it can stretch more. Studs on the neo's are miles better though. I can use it on Ag. The morelia 2's were unusable
I would say more so just different from the Neos, rather than a case of one being better than the other. If you want something more along the lines of speed boot in terms of fit, feel and performance characteristics, the Neo would be the better option for sure.
We're talking collecting or performance? If it's collecting, Morelia 2 is better, if we're talking performance, the neo 4 (especially the non-beta version) is superior to morelia 2 in almost every single way.
You’re welcome

As someone that’s wore Nike forever, I can agree they completely lost this year haha even I purchased copas and the gold messi boots this year
I wore Nike my whole life gonna try the f50 this year hope they don’t disappoint
how are the messi gold ones it terms of fit?
I like my mercs but adidas did so well I had to try the f50, yeah, I hope Nike really takes the next couple years seriously

Nike phantom GX 2 elite AG got done DIRTY :( massively underrated imo
Great boots no doubt, but debatably not even better than the original GX. Still top tier boots though!

They're solid boots for sure, but the overall weight of them is disappointing for what is still considered a mid-level "speed" boot.
it's a damn shame that Under Armor Clone Magnetico won worst boot name of 2024 when the Diadora Brasil Elite Veloce ITA LPX was an option.
I really thought that the higher end budget was gonna be like the nike tiempo Pro. i wasn't even expecting sokito 😮
i would've thought most overpriced would've gone to umbro.
That’s a good call! Those were ridiculously priced!

For me it’s the Predator 94 2024 remake. You definitely need to try Josh. Been waiting for your review.
Really nice details on those! Very nice boots!
love your pure sleeves
I feel like durability should factor into the rankings. Love the Predators, but they fall apart way too fast.
when are you coming out with your predator 25 review?
This week! Sorry for the wait. Weather delays and postal strikes have not been on my side for the past week lol

I feel like adidas could make a lightweight copa and take over mizuno if they wanted. Seems like a no brainer.
This is a 🔥 🔥 tale.
Is the size and stretch of the Mizuno Morelia and Diadora Brasil elite the same as Copa mundial? Recomend going half size down??
Mizuno Morelia more or less go true to size
Sizing is totally normal. Unless you're currently wearing your boots in a size that's too big, true to size should be fine.
For Diadora aswell?
@@Soccerreviewsforyou for Diadora Brasil elite aswell??
Does the mizuno alphas still compete with these boots
the alpha released in 2023 thats why it isnt on this list. it's probably better than most speedboots right now, but the alpha 2 is around the corner .
@@flakers1337How do you know the Alpha 2’s are around the corner?
1000% yes! Still some of the best "speed" boots on the market! Especially if comfort is a priority.
