I worked for a well known courier company for 23 years before I retired ( I was not a courier myself), many drivers would not leave a parcel in the open, if no-one was home it came back to the depot, later when newer drivers from other EU countries were hired they would disregard security issues and leave packages to complete their run, those drivers were quickly terminated. Some courier companies probably do not vet their drivers and will probably have instances of parcels left in the open so the driver gets paid for the delivery, or he steals it. We had a spate of Dyson hair dryers going missing at my employer and it turned out to be new drivers who were awaiting their vetting disclosure stealing them.
I work for ebay customer service and you wouldn't believe the amount of calls we get related to missing parcels because drivers cant do their jobs properly. Its ridiculous and I applaud you for auditing these guys. We need a higher standard for deliveries in this country.
Must admit that I use carriers a lot, being housebound, I have THREE signs on my door/door side asking deliveries to ring the bell , - BUT - the only carrier who has ever "dumped" a parcel by the door side is YODEL, luckily, I can see the delivery, and have (so far) never had experience of any "porch pirates". Trouble is you can rarely control, when you buy online, who actually delivers. ADDED - Your address, and the date of "delivery" should tell the Carrier who was supposed to deliver your parcel. They should know who was the designated driver for that day/round.
I had a Sony Android car stereo supposedly delivered by Yodel a couple of years ago but when i checked there was nothing. I contacted Yodel and they confirmed that the drivers tracker shows he was at my address. Luckely i have CCTV and low and behold the driver did pull up outside my house. I continued to watch the video and guess what?? The driver never left his cab and just drove off. So whether they arrive at your address there is no proof they deliver to your door. I sent this video to Yodel for a claim and they just offered me 25% refund and compensation. Luckily i paid via PayPal and they got me my full refund after watching the video. I don't trust Yodel one little bit.
“Why don’t you just go through your credit card” - ah that’s the scam… they push the problem to CC companies to pay for it instead of fixing the problem on their end Not her fault obvs, she’s just trying to help you but the company will know this is an issue and has been for some time Edit: deffo not the woman’s fault but the company needed auditing on this so bravo 👏
informative video i would say its the fault of the Driver leaving it but how can you prove it was not delivered can not the driver take photos like Amazon Do .one Downer you blocked your reflection and name LOL 🤣🤣🤣

“Awaiting their vetting” - yet working? Odd - I would’ve thought the whole point of vetting was it happens before starting 🤔
