Your recent forays into swedish territory have yielded my favorite content you've ever put out my man! These pieces are very hard to perform faithfully and you've clearly put in the work, huge respect 💚
Much appreciated my dude! I’ve wanted to do HLB and Vildhjarta forever but kept putting them off because of how weird the style is but I FINALLY DID IT haha
Tbh, the build-up of the bridge section in "Catastrophize", and the face-melting dark matter that follows is some of the heaviest sonic material I've ever heard. It is the musical equivalent of morphing into a black hole's singularity.
I'm slightly sad that Spectre was left out, but I understand your choices considering the entire Välde album is full of bangers. That low A0 (I think, my piano app doesn't go any lower and it sounds right) comes across as more of a feeling than a tone, and it's so satisfying!
My favorite HLB riff is the one in Spectre where the drums change from blast beats into like a two-step pattern because that riff over top of it is groovy AF. I love all of their riffs, though, and this video is awesome 🔥 I still don't completely understand how that Tide riff works!
I swear you remind me of Frankie Palmeri from Emmure, and that's a compliment, amazing video HBL is legendary. Was hoping to see Human Swarm and Harm on here.
I was obsessing over getting a 28 or 30 inch scale 6 string but I might settle for this guitar. Does the positive grid stuff you used work on the spark?
@@BaenaCarcosa I have no idea. I was like 5 years late to getting an hd500x. And I have never used a computer for guitar yet. I am slowly getting my stuff together. The only thing I need is an interface. But I want to just update to a helix or one of the mooer modelers. I have one of the mooer preamp pedals. Sounds ok. Everyone else makes it sound amazing. Have an frfr but its just a headrush one.
Andrew…Remember that axion label multi scale you used? I think you borrowed it from a friend? You didn’t review it. :( I’m actually looking at one and wanted to check if you reviewed it… any thoughts on it? What tuning did you take it to? What do you think it’s capabilities are? Idk how that dude plays this shit with his strings right handed. But I guess if that's how he learned idk shit wild lol. Gotta love the judjuds and widdlywees
I miss the riffs like the older stuff. They were so good and I definitely still like them, but playing in drop q doesn't always translate to a riff hitting the way it should IMO
@@genericname9875 see to me HLB was the best parts of Vildjharta in a more digestible format. It had a far more straight forward, deathcore feel that I really loved.
Check out OMNYSS from Positive Grid! Also all tones used in this video are available on the Tone Cloud (Just search 'Baena'): bit.ly/3DicfAE
seems like Andrew is in a thall mood and i'm all for it
You're thall for it you mean
@@BaenaCarcosa That was hella smooth
No, THALL!

Bros speaking beautifully
The Tide bendy harmonic riff is my favourite. But the outro of Detestor is also a banger
Tide was By far the hardest riff in this video haha
One of the most underrated ones being Bella pt 2. That intro just hits to dawn hard. Whole song is just a breakdown.
'bella' lol
Human swarm too bro that album has so many bangers. Also shoals
I'm glad you uploaded this as I was listening to Humaitys Last Beath. I love the guitar work from them
You should do Converge’s heaviest riffs. So many chaotic, heavy, fun riffs throughout their career I’d love to see your picks.
HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH HEAVIEST RIFFS
Andrew: Plays entire discography
All of their riffs are heavy as fuck is what I’m trying to say.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Tide riff is so sick, killed it
Omnyss is so awesome. Been jamming with it for a couple weeks.
Good stuff, keep it up
I'd love to see a Tallah heaviest riffs, especially with there new album coming out this month I think
I second this! Tallah has a ton of super heavy riffs. Can't wait to hear The Generation of Danger.
1:31 BELLUA
1:50 TELLUS AFLAME
2:10 OCEAN DRINKER
2:28 BEWARE
2:57 BURSTING BOWEL OF TELLUS
3:26 ABYSSAL MOUTH
3:46 EARTHLESS
4:25 TIDE
4:56 GLUTTON

Heaviest stoort neer riffs vid next?
Only channel that shows me ads that I like
shells breakdown is always gonna be my favorite wish it was here
very impressed w the ocean drinker cover
Those rhythms are so complex , impressive to learn of those in one go
Best band that ever will be. Period. Love ya Buster.
Great job Andrew you da man.
I mean.... vildhjarta?
the riff from Harm at (0:59) should have been in here. that is straight up the deffinition of thall.
If that part should’ve been on here, the breakdown REALLY should’ve been on here
nice work AB!!!!
That fucking t(hall)one
I am enjoying your current focus on the thalls
Ocean Drinker!! Love that one. Has a groove
👍🏻🙏🏻✊🏻 Thanks bro!
Sick work dude. Wish you had the other breakdown from tide! But yeah this vid coulda been 2 hours lol
This is awesome!!
You had me at "dunt dunt". Guess I'm going to buy this.

The intro riff of Hadean and the riff that follows the riff of the harmonics in Tide for me are the heaviest of Valde
Baller as Thallways
this was a very tasteful vid sir
Excellent ! YOu should put in title it is a Omnyss demo. I would definitely watched this on release day if I knew!
I’d probably say my favorite riff of theirs is definitely the outro riff/breakdown of Make Me Blind.
MAD LAD!!! You finally did it. Question is, do you now appreciate Buster more, or less?
He's an absolute madlad
I swear you remind me of Frankie Palmeri from Emmure, and that's a compliment, amazing video HBL is legendary. Was hoping to see Human Swarm and Harm on here.
this is sooo good!!!
Wonderful video.
Who else just loves the string wiggle?
this was fkn rad
I like the part when he goes BOOM and weeleeleelee
Just am FYI for those who don't know.
You need thick gauge strings to get those chunky notes.
Buster from Admiral Angry?
Nice.
Glutton has to be one of my favourite songs from HLB
"Anti" has some killers riffs.
we fucking love HLB
you forgot the insect riff in Harm
The speakers couldn't handle the amount of thall my dude....
What about the outro riff from Anti and the make me blind riff at 3:25? Great choices regardless 👍
thall
Crazy tuning, I’ll have to try that?
HLB’s heaviness is good for the soul
Part II (eventually?)
Fckin' TH0LL!
Amazing stuff, please do Fractalize and No Oath, they're so cool!!!
To The Grave next?!🥺
Probably my favorite riff if theirs is the Menu theme for the CSGO music pack, idk if it’s a song or which one it is tho.
No Earthless breakdown :(
Pulsating Blacks breakdown section is probably my favorite HLB section but I don’t think they have a bad song.
All hail the thall family of masters
Super sick \π/
T H A L L
Haardrock
Spectres got that 🤤🤤
Do heaviest riffs of architects
I was obsessing over getting a 28 or 30 inch scale 6 string but I might settle for this guitar. Does the positive grid stuff you used work on the spark?
This pack doesn’t work on the Spark - it works the same way Bias FX 2 does

Mentider!!!
This is a very random question but what guitar pickup type would be perfect for a clean thall tone,
THALL thread here
what string gauge did u put on this to get into drop e and did u have to file the nut and drill out any of the tuners?
Where is Animal breakdown towards the end (after the "bendy" riff), and the super catchy brigde riff from Shoals? :O I'm disappointed man...
Honestly the sickest shirt you own
what finish is that jp15 in the background? it looks great
STRING GAUGES?!?!?!
Vanda and dehumanize bro. Get to chugging on that jazzmaster baritone

Sorry but no idea that was forever ago and I only had it for like a week
@@BaenaCarcosa Your personal thoughts on them?
BRAINSTORMING 🙂
What's strings are you using for this tuning? I have the same guitar and I'm trying to dial it in for these low tunings. Thanks man.
THALL

THALL 🤘🤘
Do you have a musicman guitar?
Also the amarok is only like 25.5 is that actually considered baritone?
Nope this one is a 27”
Earthless riff is the heaviest riff overall, but sounds quite different rather than original
How do I make these massive chugs at 4:00?
automate pitch shifting down an octave and increasing the drive / gain
Thor's Hammer was literally conceived to Bellua pt.2 🙄
Do Allt or Aviana next time 😊
Did you also use the OMNYSS for the pitch shifting?
I used my Whammy Pedal
@@BaenaCarcosa pedaali, thanks for the responses. Need to get me a whammy
are baritones or 7 strings the way to go
Baritones for dedicated low tuned playing, 7 string for added range
10 strings are the way to go
I will disagree on the riff from tide. How could you not choose the riff that starts at 1:57 into the song?
I miss the riffs like the older stuff. They were so good and I definitely still like them, but playing in drop q doesn't always translate to a riff hitting the way it should IMO
For me their older stuff is just vildhjarta but less gud.
@@genericname9875 see to me HLB was the best parts of Vildjharta in a more digestible format. It had a far more straight forward, deathcore feel that I really loved.
they're still playing in drop e for the most part lol
DO LORNA SHOREEEEEEEEEEEE
This was sick but played the wrong bit of Earthless 😉
t h a l l
so THALL |m|
3:10 how tf can I make those screeches
Dissonant chord with a +2 octave whammy
Where is dehumanization?
okay now do it tuned down
