Ray is a massive legend of a bloke and one of the absolute greatest to have ever played our amazing game and as a Parramatta supporter I couldn't be prouder of the man. Best of luck to him.
One of the tuffest players to lace on the boots it was a pleasure to watch him play. Best of luck mate. My cousin and I used sit in the big tree on swimming pool side of the field at the old Cumberland oval.
One of the Toughest footballers ever but had so much skill and dimensions to his game. What a playet he was sad we will probably never see another player like again. All the best legend
Hopefully all is well big fella. What a player. What a team. When a lock - forward was a lock. Not this crap they class as scrums today. I'd like to pay my respects towards Mr Ray (Pricey) Price. I think "Mr perpetual motion" was Pricey. Courage and biggest heart was and always will be "Pricey". Thanks Champ.
My second favourite player behind Mick Cronin. Was absolutely fearless warrior for Parramatta, NSW and Australia. Not surprised he may be have some issues as a middle age man. Hope everything works out well for him.
A bone fide genuine living legend of the game and no one was tougher or as good as the great ray price . One of the Parramatta greats may you live long and prosper brother .Best of luck mate .
He is a legend tough as they come i grew up a Parra supporter and as a kid watched Ray put his body on the line for the glory and playing rugby league as a kid looking up to him , respect Ray Price hope you're going to be ok
An 80minute plater no rest brakes on an interchange bench iv seen him not being able to walk straight from head knocks. Always stayed on till he could. Rocket ready from stgeorge beat the stuffing out of price for 80 minutes in a grand final and ready was outside the rules. Price kept getting up tackling taking the ball up. No one was getting him of that field you think your seen tougher than price watch that game. 1978 grand finale
Ray price young mans to me great no 8 very tough great player but getting checked is great ...makes you a greater champion still....well done..from .Brian Hare...
I won’t forget how was his most brilliant, dynamic & phenomenal forward-playing performance in UK during his legendary Kangaroos’ touring team as a very hard-working talented rugby league player as I witnessed his awesome & tough play by his clever tactics in physical game against Great Britain & Leeds … admittedly he is still my favourite player in rugby league. Pray for him to combat his brain injury - give him full strength and optimism 👏🏉
These teams hated each other in these days . It was war on the field . Now they all tackle each other and help them up , smile and joke with the opposition , push and shove with no intention to throw a punch . The games gone soft .
Absolute admiration for this man and do feel empathy and compassion for his current journey. But, sorry he is saying referees controlled the game, perhaps they did with the ARL, but at the same time the players were happy to run around bash each other, and perform head high tackles too. Grow men playing the game need to accept their own accountable as well. He may have verbalized self accountability in the interview and they may not have shown it. Camera Technology and injury technology, insurance technology was not anywhere near the level it is today, so late and high tackles were not able to be picked up and the suspected aftermath. And the brain testing available he is doing was not even a thought then even. I do hope Ray is okay and that his journey of testing his well being can provide future players the neccessary requirements.
I hope NRL will get some financial help to players like Ray who helped build the game to what it is today. Its good the new rules in the game are about keeping the head safe.
Love this guy but blaming the refs is imho a cop out……they may have let it slide but YOU as a player had a responsibility to do or not to do.it may not sit well with some but I played the game and gave/took some head shots none of which I’d put on anyone other than me or my opposite numbers.
Wow but let's listen to what Gus has to say. Oh that's right, "doctor's and lawyers will ruin the game". Look at this Dr. Good clinical care and research.
And yet the players are still told they can play after a week. Is it going to take a death in Australia like that of NFL star Junior Seau to wake up the NRL?
They don't make men this tough any more. An absolute champion. Players today don't come close.

The best lock forward and competitor to ever lace on a boot in my opinion .
Absolute legend, best of luck mate
"You just have to take it on the chin and take another step forward" what a champion

Parramatta had 2 legends when I was growing up ray price and the other one is gary rush both are true champions of there sport
He got back slammed so many times on rock hard clay pitches, he was on rubbery legs countless times. He was a marked player, always.
Price forgets he was sent off a few times.
Jesus tough man. Best of luck.
