Shame it couldn't make it through all the NAT tests, but it does seem like a decent EDC even with a 12 inch monster blade like that. Definitely quite the pocket sword, lol.
The Ruike P-108 is pretty good. It has a similar slippery handle, and a more narrow blade, but it also has an extra, secondary lock.
Ruike is pronounced "Rake". Don't ask me why or how though. Love this knife, amazing edc, so slim, slicey, and easy to carry with good blade steel at a low price. It is a bit slick though for sure, I've heard GT-5000 grip tape is great for that sort of mod, I know people that have put that stuff on their cold steel code 4's and really liked it. The Ruike p661/p662 are also great little (under 3" blade) inexpensive liner lock edc knives in 14c28n.
Equilibrium is a great B movie btw, def. go watch it lol, it's like Fahrenheit 451 + The Matrix with Christian Bale.
I’ve had this for years now she’s a good knife especially for the money.
Im still rotating this in my EDC currently!
Great to hear more natural back and forth.
Not obsessing with PC bull!!
besides the Ruike brand Sanrenmu does own designs like the 9008 which is pretty similar to the 801 but more solid. for 30 bucks.
For batoning, try 1x2 furring strips, available at Home Depot or any lumber yard.
I knew the P801 would do well. I don't think ruike (rake) uses any loctite so just add that to the pivot screws and its good to go. You can strop that edge back to life. Try it's bugger badder brother the p135-sf bigger blade, handle, and the beta lock so it'll pick up where the 801 left off.
Well done, guys! Have a great weekend!
Just found your channel and I’m hooked lol great knife reviews true TESTS ! You guys should try Kershaw Filter would love to see how it performs thanks new sub .
yellow pine would be relatively soft wood. I love that knife. I like it for suit carry or a wedding its just classy looking. I still cringe every time we punch through that can haha Great job as always guys.
Love Ruike. Good stuff.
Do the cold steel voyager clip point and drop point
When batoning leave the blade half way open. It’s more ease on the lock
I get what your saying. But we only baton really to see if the lock holds. If we were trying to keep it, or save it 💯
Land 911 with sandvik 12c27 steel sharp as hell need to try it
a broomstick might be a good consistent wood for the test
I was one of the people that requested this.
Can y’all do an Esee avispa?
I'd like to see a test on some more classic knives like the mercator k55k, just to see how some of the classics hold up
Added to the list!
The lockup on mine is 100%, rock solid and squared edges. Maybe a bad one, maybe just can't take the abuse. I great knife for the money I think.
Value knife
Bad heat treat can result in a blade thatsuffers from poor edge retention 👎
Couldent find the facebook
Shank city, not a practical knife but a stick machine.
Yeah definitely has an intimidation factor
