YOU ARE KILLING ME WITH THESE GREAT KNIFE REVIEWS!!! Just got the P801, and after a dismantle, cleaning, and a little frog lube, it is like butter! I think you have "influenced" me to purchase 6 + knives . Keep them coming!
Ruike is definitely hitting it out of the park and I agree are a tremendous value to quality ratio.Cannot wait for their new models to come out.Big appreciation from Down Under!!!
Ruike is pronounced Rake, as per the company. Totally agree with you, their whole line of knives come with ball bearing pivots. Definitely the best buy in knives right now. I have 3 myself now, the P121-G Hussar, P155-W, and the fore mentioned P801-SF.
I don't know bro the blue accents on the SF make it look like one classy knife. Agree to disagree on the Finish that being said I have it in my pocket right now great knife
Yeah I agree, in the ingot form steel world I will take 14c28n over any of them except extremely well done 440c. In the Budget steel world 14c and BD1N are the kings as of current.
Alternative for lefties The Ganzo / Firebird FH13 is very similar, acid wash stainless steel frame lock with bearing pivot and D2 steel with a deep carry clip
I bought the stone washed version and I agree with you on everything you said except for two points. First, I have been carrying the CutJack Mini for a few weeks and this Ruike is much heavier and second, the handles are super slippery. I`ve dropped this knife several times when pulling it out of my pocket and deploying. Other than that, this is one great value.
Lol, I just got my Ruike P801-SF in the mail yesterday. I got it new off eBay for $22 shipped. Definitely in my Top 3 EDC choices. I also got the P108-SF from the same seller and am equally impressed with it. Thanks for the great reviews!
I got this bad boy a couple weeks ago in the p801-sf model w/the blue clip and thumb stud. I'll probably pick up this version as well. The detent on this knife is nuts! Yes, easily an $80-100 knife if sourced in the US. Glad to see Fenix enter the knife business.
The quality is still on point with Ruike knives 3 years after this review. They are dialed in on their 14c28n (it's out preforming GOOD VG10 edge retention wise and approaching well done S30v preformance levels) this is a fantastic value as its their entire line.
I got one of these about a week ago, and overall I love it so far. My only complaint is that the pivot screws have a tendency to come loose after 50-100 openings, and then I need to dig out a T8 Torx driver to tighten them back up. But the blade and overall quality have amazed me. I'm REALLY glad that I saw someone recommend this knife in an answer about a different knife on Amazon. I might have to buy another as a backup, but then I already have 7 good folders, so maybe not....
Just ordered one via Amazon. Waiting.....Got the 801SF. Amazing knife! The new standard in my opinion. American companies making knives under $100 better be paying attention. It’s already my favorite knife I own.
Got mine yesterday freaking love it ibhavent bought a knife this reasonably price. It has a great edge feels awesome in the pocket flips well even the thumbs-up is positioned perfect. I'll be back to Ruike. Also had mi e engraved and it is beautiful so thanks to everyone at DNALasering found them on Etsy. Buddy love your channel thanks for everything.
Great review of a fine new knife value. This was my first of several Ruike blades. Try the P121, addition of G10 handles makes for nice feel. They all have sweet action with ball bearings. Thanks.
Thanks for the review! Just talked to a company that sells it here in Taiwan. It's basically the same price as on Amazon + $5 shipping so I'm getting it soon. Can't wait
I havr bought 3 of them, one when they first came out about 5 years ago, bought one about 2 years ago and bought a 3rd about March 2022 and its as perfect as the other older two so the QC is still on point
Great review! and thanks for rolling in the H5 Gerfalcon again, still loving that knife. Also loving the H6-S1 (G-10 version) supper nice EDC knife only requiring minimal tough-up with my ceramic rod. I prefer G-10 handles to steel and aluminum so I'm well satisfied.
Ruike use ball bearings inside for the blades opening , see Nick Shabazz on UA-cam on disassembly of the knife .I just ordered a Ruike Hussar to go with my Ruike P108 also a great knife. I will no longer buy expensive Spyderco knives which are nice but too expensive especially the higher end steels like M390 Which I do own a Para 3 in that steel which is a nice knife but it will be my last, it makes no sense spending $80.00 -$100 or more on a folder or any knife . I do not like to buy stuff from China but when it comes to some knives like Ruike or the Spyderco Tenacious , Persistence , Ambitious lines are good enough for me and anyone else living on a low income. For the Materials Ruike uses and the price of these knives is just excellent .
Don't mean to be that guy, but I really pushed Ruike to you ages ago 😀. They are awesome, I own 45 units, no affiliation, just saw the value about a year ago and started collecting...glad you gave them a chance. And Woke. I'll add, not one single one of those 45 Ruikes are uncentred or have any blade play up or down. Hence my faith...
Dang!!! Another awesome catch Aaron! One more must have. I mean just look at how material is flying when cut. They definitely got the slicey blade right.
If they just made this knife in a smaller version, I would buy a bunch of them. I'd like a 2.75"-2.85" blade instead of a 3.5" I have so many 4" body knives with 3.5" blades. The difference in a smaller one is massive when your carrying it all day! So much more comfortable. I love full flat grinds and this is one of the few that are not expensive. D2 or 14c or 16 c blades are fine. I'm just tired of thick heavy knives for edc. I have heavy thick fixed blades for hard work. I don't need one that heavy/large for edc.in my pocket all day. I would pay MORE for it if it was smaller.
I had the P108 for about a day. Very clean looking folder for sure. I sent it back. Reason Just much too slick for my liking and it slipped out of the hand way to easy. Still very nice folders. I do like the Criterion Collection with the glass breaker on the end...
I like the look of that Esee folder but can't believe the price. Don't see how some US companies are asking high prices for inferior materials and expect to compete.
I have had this knife in my Amazon cart several times but just never pulled the trigger on it. Thanks to your great review I will be purchasing this knife in the near future.
TO INFORM PEOPLE: THE SILVER VERSION IN COMPARISON TO THE BLACK VERSION IS MUCH HARDER TO FLIP OPEN. THE SILVER BEARINGS ARE MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH IF YOU ARE BEGINNER OR NEW I SUGGEST THE BLACK! I am no knife expert, but this knife works for both right and left (I can wield it right and left, access it with both right and left if clipped to my pants, and close it with both right and left)
I did the first youtube review on the P801-SB. It's a very high quality/high value flipper folder with bearing pivot. Probably produced by Sanrenmu for Ruike/Fenix.
Fits much better in the pocket, you won't even know it's there. I got the satin version with blue hardware for $30 bucks on eBay. It has bearings, not washers.
Jon Grimm different style knives. Rat 2 feels good in hand for heavy work. This opens much nicer has better steel better lockup but IMO not as suited for hard use because of frame lock and steel frame.
Great knife - they should work on the strength of their pocket clips. I have over 8 of these, 3 have broken pocket clips and they don't sell replacements.
Seriously ready to buy this...until I heard "righties only". So disappointing...I feel like there's no excuse these days for a manufacturer not to make it lefty friendly. Otherwise, I REALLY like this knife. Glad to see manufacturers pushing the "budget" envelope!
ottergt - I know that feeling, I get pumped about a knife being reviewed and Bang, it's not for us "Devil Children", I've even emailed Kershaw over it, seriously how hard/expensive is it to drill a few holes on the other side?
Alternative for lefties The Ganzo / Firebird FH13 is very similar, acid wash stainless steel frame lock with bearing pivot and D2 steel with a deep carry clip
@ottergt - so I have this knife (a gift from my father for my 17th birthday) I can use it in both my right and left hand, I can open and close it with both hands as well. It works for both sides in my opinion.
Check out the ganzo adimante neformat skimen design . I did one for a lefty and all that was needed was to file 1/16” for the clip to rest for a deep carry and it had a cool little ceramic ball on the tip of the clip . I was flipping it and ordered two I liked them so much . The cf is a layer but looks awesome . Same price as this
For approximately the same amount of money, you can get better knives from the same company. Other models have lockbar overtravel stops. Already have 3 Ruikes :)
Hey , your a little bit late to the party (LOL) , I've had mine for around a year. It is a great edc "flipper" , no doubt. The action is smooth , because of the "bearings" ha , ha , and the 14c28n steel has awesome edge retention and is my favorite budget steel. But , me personally , would take one of the D2 knives over it , if I had to choose and could only have one , the Rat , Cutjack , or Modus , all have a leg up on it in my opinion , and for only $10.00 more. Either way , they are all great options . And I would know , because I'm a collector and I have them all.
Aaron, I am looking for a good pocket knife under 100 bucks. I wear XXXL Gloves. So I have a hard time finding a knife where my pinky isn't completely riding off the back. Do you have any suggestions!?!?
I would love for u to review the ruike fixed blade i just seen it on Amazon im kinda wanting but afraid to pull the trigger. Its 14c28n steel for 69 dollars seems like a great deal
Yo, Gideon, try out the Sanrenmu Land 910 folder. All stainless steel construction. Sandvik SS blade, smooth opening and closing, and at half the price! Check it out.
william jc I have seven Real Steels and happy with all of them. I need to pick up some more Ruikes, I have two, the 801sf and the 128sb. So many knives, so not enough money!
Prepare for your mind to be blown, my friend, because there's ball bearings in there. And yes, this blade is an almost ridiculous value. It's a smooth, elegant, modernized gentleman's folder on steroids.
I have not purchased a Ruike folder, yet, but I do I have their fixed blade "Hornet" and love it. I am torn between being a giddy consumer that gets a lot of value for my money and not wanting to support near slave labor in a Communist country. I wish American companies could better compete, but it isn't possible.
#gideonstactical So much value for the money!! I have the stonewash version with the blue anodized accents, but i also like the blackwash version you have too. I went back and forth on which version to get when i got mine. Thanks for the review, keep em coming!!
It’s got Ball Bearings everyone!! :)
gideonstactical Awesome
gideonstactical wow.
Goodbye expensive knives!
daaammmnnn :)
Still five bucks worth
YOU ARE KILLING ME WITH THESE GREAT KNIFE REVIEWS!!! Just got the P801, and after a dismantle, cleaning, and a little frog lube, it is like butter! I think you have "influenced" me to purchase 6 + knives . Keep them coming!

I pulled my lock bar back a little because detent was stiff. My ruike has better action not than almost any of my 300 dollar we,s and dt’s
Alternative for lefties The Ganzo / Firebird FH13 is very similar, acid wash stainless steel frame lock with bearing pivot and D2 steel with a deep carry clip

@@jackbillson3rd Yes although I EDC a Para 3 now it's still an excellent buy.
@@EDCandLace Yes they continue to put out quality knives for a great price.

I bought mine in 2019 and it's been at my right hand ever since
This is the best $35 knife I’ve ever seen. All that mine needed was some grip tape for the slick metal frame
Got mine yesterday freaking love it ibhavent bought a knife this reasonably price. It has a great edge feels awesome in the pocket flips well even the thumbs-up is positioned perfect. I just ordered this, very impressed! This will be my FIRST ruike, great review!
These type videos are what make your channel. Best you have put out lately.
Can't argue with the value on offer
here. Let's hope the quality control stays high. Keep 'em coming Aaron.
I havr bought 3 of them, one when they first came out about 5 years ago, bought one about 2 years ago and bought a 3rd about March 2022 and its as perfect as the other older two so the QC is still on point
same with real steel - awesome bang for the buck

I sometimes call this one 'The poor mans Sebenza'. It's an all round budget King. As is the 108.
Great knife! I own this one and two others, Love them all.
EarlyMist I agree with your assessment. The only knife I think can stand toe to toe with it regarding value/fit and finish is the Civivi Baklash.
Dang!!! Another awesome catch Aaron! One more must have. I mean just look at how material is flying when cut. They definitely got the slicey blade right.

It's my best budget folder. Amazing design and quality.
@druidic4353I like the sf so much I had to get the sb-black version 😅.
I have this one. It's awesome. And the rest of the brand looks promising as well. It's better than a whole lot of more expensive ones.
I just got one for $25! Thanks Aaron. 🍻
Awesome, enjoy!
I have had this knife in my Amazon cart several times but just never pulled the trigger on it. Thanks to your great review I will be purchasing this knife in the near future.
Same here . Pulled it two days ago and it’s finally here . Very nice .

Tengo 4 ruike la que mas me gusta es la p135 sf pero la 801 me guato tanto qye tengo 2 ..la 135 3s una bestia !!!!
TLK took it apart n I believe it has bearings. I have the 108 and I LOVE it.
Wow I just got mine in the mail today....$30 Amazon..it is so smooth and comfortable in hand!!
Hows this knife stack up to LAPG’s S35VN, G-10 handle, both are $35?
I did the first youtube review on the P801-SB. It's a very high quality/high value flipper folder with bearing pivot. Probably produced by Sanrenmu for Ruike/Fenix.
Baz on Blades a
Your vid convinced me to buy the SB version I was torn between this and the cut Jack but this one won me over .
duke togo, awesome. It's a great knife. The cutjack is good too. But you have to get the more exoensive version to get a bearing pivot.
I actually did the first review
I just got this knife, crkt obake, and rat 2 all for under $90.
Would you say that this worth buying over the Ontario Rat 2 in D2 steel?
Jon Grimm it the same size as the rat1, and if you are planing to edc the knife yes.
gideonstactical alright thanks for the advice
Fits much better in the pocket, you won't even know it's there. I got the satin version with blue hardware for $30 bucks on eBay. It has bearings, not washers.

Good for skinning?
It is actually running on ball bearings. Very cool.
What do you think of this steel vs. D2?
Do you prefer the p801 or the steel will cutjack? General edc , perhaps tactical if needed.
I guess there’s a 108 too for $40 but doesn’t glide open like this or does it ?
Good thing I got both 801 and 108 plus on time,,,can't find them on Amazon Canada 🇨🇦
Looks like I found a new brand for budget folders. Heard nothing but good things about them.
I'm waiting Ruike 108SF review, good luck 👍👍
What kind of paracord braclet is that Aaron? Did you make that or where could I purchase that? Great video as always.
I like that knife but I also like the rat 1 in D2 which would you go for I want to carry alongside my gun as my everyday carry knife
You drill 2 holes and tap them. Bang! It's for lefties... 🤔

Already have 3 Ruikes :)
Could you please suggest a better ruike. I love the brand already!
P108 is really classy and beautiful.
To this day it still holds up incredibly well. Hundreds of times better than a rat 1.
I've taken mine apart and it had bearings
do you ever see the tsprof knife sharpening before i'm thinking about to buy it i don't know is a waste of money lol
I haven't even got my House of Blades Dividend yet, and now I need this? Haha.
Hi from Borneo!
Cool video. Personally I prefer the P128-SB, slightly weighty EDC.
Bought this knife because of the video, loving it so far. Thanks for the recommendation!
I think im sold on this one to go with my spyderco endura and pm2 and my victorinoxes i keep buying. Would you call this ruike low end?
It's bearings
Hey , your a little bit late to the party (LOL) , I've had mine for around a year. It is a great edc "flipper" , no doubt. Please make a review again of this one in some weeks! :)
Better than Real steel Gerfalcon and Will steel modus?
Aaron, I am looking for a good pocket knife under 100 bucks. I wear XXXL Gloves. So I have a hard time finding a knife where my pinky isn't completely riding off the back. Do you have any suggestions!?!?
Cold Steel Code 4
What do you recommend for a manual button lock or axis lock like knives for under $50?
Good review! Another one I love is the Fang,!
I would love for u to review the ruike fixed blade i just seen it on Amazon im kinda wanting but afraid to pull the trigger. Its 14c28n steel for 69 dollars seems like a great deal
How does this compare to the Ruike P801SF?
One is black. The other is "silver" color. They're the same knife.
Pulled the trigger last night. 29.95 for the black version on eBay free shipping.
Ordered one also have the p108!
Between this ruike and the Steel Will modus, which on comes out on top?
Excellent knife I have the satin version. I don’t think you can buy a better knife for $30
It’s a great knife. I etch them and give them as gifts.
I love this knife! Ive bought two so far
It’s a plastic bushing on one side
Yo, Gideon, try out the Sanrenmu Land 910 folder. All stainless steel construction. Sandvik SS blade, smooth opening and closing, and at half the price! Check it out.
I have 7 Ruike knives. I think they are the best quality/$$ on the market today. Raising the bar on the industry :)
william jc I'd put Real Steel right there with Ruike. The Bestech swordfish is a great $54 D2 knife.
agreed. A bit more $$. I have the T101 "thor". X-cellent blade.
william jc I have seven Real Steels and happy with all of them.
I believe you should do a review of the Ruike P108 and believe it's an even better knife! Check it out!
Hi, what is the difference between SF and SB?
Just the color I believe
They are a very great bang for the buck thats for sure
I still prefer the P-108 model.
Likewise. The blade geometry, the fit and finish; all of it.
...but that clip. : T
Nice! Just ordered one for my father in law through your link👍🏻 have to wait over a week for them to restock 😂
Simple knive good steel i like . not bad .its good .😀.
The built-in lubricated balls are made of specialized high carbon chromium bearing Steel.
Its on caged steel ball bearings... Amazing knife for the price!
I have a p135 in my pocket and getting a dealership on this line asap. If i quit giving them away for gifts they'd sell like bread. Buy one
The RUIKE has bearings, albeit small
I have not purchased a Ruike folder, yet, but I do I have their fixed blade "Hornet" and love it.
I am torn between being a giddy consumer that gets a lot of value for my money and not wanting to support near slave labor in a Communist country. I wish American companies could better compete, but it isn't possible.
Hi. Great movie as always. One think this baby have ball bearings.
Ahhhh must buy will get it off amazon
#gideonstactical So much value for the money!! I have the stonewash version with the blue anodized accents, but i also like the blackwash version you have too. I went back and forth on which version to get when i got mine. Thanks for the review, keep em coming!!
Nice knife and the price is great.
Didnt the company say it's pronounced "rake"?
It’s 100% ball bearings
I love these UA-cam videos, but what would we think if our wives had 50-100 UA-cam channels reviewing paring knives?
