Absolute respect for listening to the " Angels " and doing this live version straight after the studio one. The studio version breaks my heart and soul but this version goes beyond any real words! If I am not mistaken there is another video of the same performance from a different angle from somebody in the crowd. When she hits that run at 8:22 you can see her band members in the background and the guy on the upright bass kind of looked over at the drummer with an expression like did you just hear that with a big smile on his face.

Angelina has a way of bringing something extra to a live performance like this. This was a good choice of video as it was recorded by NRK the TV station, best quality sound. The other version that may have been mentioned to you was the next concert on July 10th. I was lucky enough to have been there, think of this performance with added emotion! The members of the band were visibly shaken by the power and feeling - you must go to one of her concerts to really know how good she really is. Maybe you could take a short trip to Las Vegas - her concert on February 29th - there could be a seat there for you...
This final run should be heard on the moon, so it must be powerful ;-) - Angelina doesn't use her belt power often, but when she does... Here's Angelina's own commentary on the song: "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine." This Angelina original holds a special place in the hearts of fans. Most of us have experienced a loss like this at some point, and Angelina's approach to dealing with sorrow and pain while remembering the beautiful and great experiences with the departed loved one is very helpful to many. Angelina dedicated it to her grandfather, but it is also meant to comfort everyone in the same situation. The black and white studio recording is great - as are the other two (lyric version and music video) she released at the same time - but I feel like the pain and sorrow were still too close to her, and overshadow the intended consolation. I didn't see anyone here pointing this out, so I'll do it: That woman and child you paused and commented on at c. 4½ minutes into this reaction are (/were?) actually YT reacters who have reacted to several of Angelina's videos. They obviously became big enough fans of hers to travel to Norway (from where I can't remember) to see her live.😊
You notice the crowd full of Baby Boomers.....and not by coincidence. What other generation has lived thru and knows more about all genres of music up to this very day and can appreciate hearing her sing more than them, Huh? It is like fly on flypaper.....it took only one listen for them to immediately understand what they were hearing. JND I beg to differ with you on your reaction to this song especially where you indicate that Angelina must "find a way to be introduced to a young generation ...reach people whohad heard the best". You seem not to listen adequately to the song. Million Miles is intergenerational. The lyrics affect both young and old. Bereavement doesn't have effect on old generation Only. This insinuation is ,inter alia, baseless, ridiculous, insicere,vicious and defective. The message of hope in this song is universal. An angel from South Africa.
