I absolutely love the mix of retro style and a VR space sim. This is a must-buy for me - I was really interested with the style choice, but when you mentioned playing an 8 bit game on the ship's console, I was sold!
Currently yes, but the plan is to add non-VR support later. It takes a little work to alter the game mechanics to work (it currently relies on physical hand interaction with the world).
VR uptake seems to have stagnated. What VR headsets are you all using and how do you rate them? Are there issues using them if you have an underlying eye condition?
I have multiple setups for development and can tell you that most, including my £900 Valve Index setup...stay in a cupboard gathering dust. I only use one headset and that's the Quest 3. Its the cheapest and by far my favourite in terms of user experience and visual quality. I use daily for gaming and development. The others are dusted off only to test build compatibility.
Might I suggest you try VTOL VR, if you have access VR of course. You need to be seated to play the game and I have heard a couple of my friends concerns over getting nauseous, because of all the rolling and loopings. But that's not really the case, because you are seated and the cockpit is stationary around you, you rarely get nauseous. At least in my and my friends experience. It's the locomotion that gets you, walking in game and being stationary in real life. Sitting down with a stationary ui around you is a lot less disorienting. Hope this helps! :D
Just need more time to adapt to. After 1 month after purchase VR I can easily run in games like a crazy without any helps of vignettes while standing in real. Half-life 2 boat ride was a funny adventure! More speed! 😁

@@bobtipton9455 it really is a quality title 🚀🚀🚀 can't wait to see where it goes!
Many thanks for the coverage!
@@FirstTimeGames appreciate the game 🚀
Upcoming space sims look bright!
This looks very cool, seems like VR is getting there.
This looks excellent and the fact I can try it now is an added bonus! We need more Space Sim games to look forward to in 2025 :)
Retro style is very appealing but I struggle with VR, interested if it comes to PC. Thanks for the showcase.
The feedback on VR at least makes me feel better that I struggle with it too 🤣🚀
When can we expect more live streams?
Will it be VR only?

I can't justify the price of them for the games I play I just don't think I'd get the value out of them
@@portumnadaz it depends I tend to use them very sparingly but enjoy them on certain games like this!
@@portumnadaz it is a big outlay for sure 🚀

@@FirstTimeGames Thanks thats good to know
It sounds cool but you lost me at VR. I just cannot seem to keep a sense of balance in a VR rig.
It can be a struggle! Only a few games I enjoy and this one was a good experience so far!

Inter Solar 83 can be played seated or standing. I actually prefer seated myself!

Looks interesting, but having to buy hundreds of pounds worth of peripheral just to play it means it is not for me.
