Older even lol . Im now 52 . Listened and watched her on cmt all those years ago in uk . Its 2021 now and still enjoyin her music and ninties country . Its mostly watered down crap all sounds the same . City folk trying to sing country it sucks big time . Theres still a few newish artists out there singing great songs but as i say a lot of crap too . Hope ur well . And hope u dont mind me replyin to ur message . Pls take care stay safe .
This woman is such a sweetheart...years ago when I was younger ran into her at a bar in Dearborn ,mi. ...she and I hit it off and I can tell u she is the most down to earth person I have ever met...loved her spirit and her genuine heart ......what a beautiful person and I was lucky to have met her. Some stars let it go to their heads not her she was so nice...I will never forget that night.
Fantastic - this was originally a somewhat difficult song to appreciate, because the words were surely designed to reflect how the female subject was badly treated by men. However with this video Terri comes out a winner by simply putting up with the men and then driving off only after SHE has chosen the man she wants! Well done Terri - now the song is not just a great tune but it turns out well.
@Robert Green Actually, the song was written by a man, Warren Zevon in the 70s ("Lawyers, Guns & Money", and "Werewolves Of London"), who did a lot of "tongue in cheek" songs. It's abt being depressed, & wanting to kill himself (railroad tracks), but even failing at that. Then he refers to an abusive relationship, & an S & M experience. The lyrics were cleaned up for Linda Rondstat's version, & 10 yrs later, for Terri's. Of the 3, I like Terri's best 😄

1996 I was in pre-school 5 years old I wish there was some good country music on the radio back then like this legend of a song and singer I'd love to see her live
"covered linda better", what? This wasn't even written by Linda. This was done by the late and great warren zevon and it was covered twice by two female country singers.
I remember Linda Rondstadt singing this song when. She was really great. Her brother Peter Rondstadt was our police chief for 11 years from 1981 to 1992. I think that Terry Clark's versión is just ás good. It sounds like she added more energy to the song. She is really great
Growing up in the 90s listening to country, Terri Clark, Randy Travis, George Strait and Brooks and Dunn were my favorite singers. Country music just isnt the same
My family lived in Yokohama for 3 years so we and all our friends loved this song. Boy did we miss this kind of music being with the 7th Fleet all those years.
who knows that this song is actually a remake? Originally "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" ; Single by Linda Ronstadt ; from the album Simple Dreams ; B-side, "Simple Man Simple Dream" (or "Blue Bayou") ; Released, January 10, 1978.
Terri Clark knows the meaning of true country music she's stayed true to it since she stared this woman is the really reason why country music survived
she is such a beautiful and classy woman with an awesome voice. she did this cover when i was 10 and i love this song as much now as when i was younger. now in 2020 i have my 20 month old little girl dancingto this. hope she ends up loving it like me.

All the good 80s and 90s country makes me wish is was 30 years ago. Hard to beat listing to it in the garage in old boots and jeans turning some wrenches and drinking some cold Busch beer.
That moment when you grew up listening to Terri Clark and realize that you're now almost as old as she was in this video...

Shes like 90 now. Dude.
@@ianinnes8063 Thanks for liking my page and God bless you.
😂Facts all!
At that time, No internet, no smart phones, I used to listen on radio and used to write it's lyrics to sing later
What a golden days.❤❤❤
Only older relatives around to tell you the song was a remake: Warren Zevon (writer 1976), Linda Ronstadt (1978).
So true. Waiting for the hits to play again so you can get the lyrics you missed!
@@johnconway9882 Exactly
SHIT, I'm 5 again. I want to thank my mom and dad for having such a great taste in music. They taught me to listen to this as a kid. :')
Heard this over the weekend at a restaurant while out of town & now I don't wanna stop listening
Clark, Tillis & Bogus all singing together is real country - such a great concert!!!
Not country actually. Written by Warren Zevin who sings Werewolves of London.
Yeah, I bet that was an excellent concert!!!
Country during these times, awesome. She was awesome!
totally agree. most new country aka pop stars now a days have nothing on terri clark and reba mcintire.
heck yeah
This is a cover song she's no Warren Zevon.
But is she Linda Ronstadt? That's who really covered his song. What an angel. ;)

1996? Jeeeeze, feels like it just came out a year or two ago.............
I remember when it came out and I was a kid!
Oh wow ya that's right
Seems like a couple years ago?....yes a couple years ago since Warren Zevon or Linda Ronstadt did it. Now....that’s feeling old.
So excited to see her this summer at the local fair!
Worked with Terri in the 90's she loved what she does and did it so well...look at the videos , they were also great. 90s were the best.

First Linda in the 70s. Redone VERL well by Ms. Terri in the 90s. Yep, she addedtat cowbell and had fun.
Those facial expressions in her videos crack me up. She is a lady and is fiesty with great music!
Seen her live in the UK a few years back , top voice , stunning looking lady , more cowbells
Miss her! And country like this.
Tarri Clark has a great powerful voice and she's one of the greatest country music stars
More cowbell
Was at the 1996 az concert when she was with George strait, caught the drum stick she threw out into the crowd! What a great performance!!
this is real Country music right here
Good version. Thank you Warren Zevon
Very well performed. Entertaining
The best Linda Ronstadt rendition I have ever heard!!!
I love her music! I grew up listening to her and think she's awesome!

Don't know what's better, the song or the frickin sexiness
I just found out today that Linda Ronstadt originally sang this. I grew up with Terri's version.
Terri is much better
I grew up on Lindas version, Terri's is better!!
Warren Zevon is the original, original singer/songwriter. Linda did her cover version that made it famous. Terri did this version in the 90s.
1996 I was in pre-school 5 years old I wish there was some good country music on the radio back then like this legend of a song and singer I'd love to see her live
Love both versions from Linda and Terry
And Zevon too!
@@dwarden3 who Warren Zevon
Both versions are a cover of the original artist
@@yes2208 The guy who wrote and originally recorded the song?
Nobody else could have covered Linda better! Thank you Terri!
I agree 100% her voice and singing style is perfect for this cover
"covered linda better", what? This wasn't even written by Linda. This was done by the late and great warren zevon and it was covered twice by two female country singers.
Jackson Browne did a nice version also.
Linda Ronstadt would approve of this.
She sings it nearly as good as Linda. Akways thought that :)
more like warren zevon
gunfighterzero Linda owned it. Warren only collected his fat royalty check.
@@rgurtiza I still prefer his original version
@@gunfighterzero That's right, but it was Linda who first made it a hit.

Hi Ana💐
Everyone knows that this was originally a Warren Zevon song - not a Linda Ronstadt song, yeah?
Everyone doesn't know that. Not the millions of people who don't know Warren Zevon or even the other thousands who don't know Linda Ronstadt.
y
Even if this wasn't originally a country song, Terrie's version is as country as it gets. Today's country doesn't hold a candle to songs like this!
@@paulsawyer4741 Very well put. I've never heard of him.
Great songwriting... good for (the late) Warren Zevon.
But I'd much rather listen to Linda or Terri sing it. His singing voice doesn't do much for me.
Original was sung and written by the late, great Warren Zevon.
I remember Linda Rondstadt singing this song when. She was really great. Her brother Peter Rondstadt was our police chief for 11 years from 1981 to 1992. I think that Terry Clark's versión is just ás good. It sounds like she added more energy to the song. She is really great
Hello Shawn

Terri Clark and Shania Twain both look good in jeans during the 90s
They both could have been sisters
I like this kind of song 👌may God bless🙏

Thanks God for UA-cam and internet radio stations where it is possible to listen to country music from the 90's.
200% agree!
I feel the same
I want it to go back how it sounded then
Yes the best music ever. Even my mom agreed with me on that she said it was the best decade for country music.

She does this well. Zevon was a master composer.
Best era of country music!
Terri Clark did this song justice...It's good to see a remake of a classic that does'nt rape the original.
Terri Clark knows the meaning of true country music she's stayed true to it since she stared this woman is the really reason why country music survived
