You've gained a new sub! I love watching a UA-camr who loves quirky old apartments. Sooo many UA-camrs who do apartment tours only look at cookie-cutter modern apartments. Also your style is just to die for!
thank you girl! I feel the same exact way. I rarely see these types of apartment hunts. Cookie cutter apts are so nauseating with all the grey tones 😩 I appreciate it girl 🙏🏽❤
When I was a teenager it was always my dream to move to LA but i put that on the back burner when I got older so I never had the chance to explore and apartment hunt so this video was really neat for me to watch.
I didn’t get through the whole video before I was moved to write this comment. As a LA native and someone who pays $1700/month for a 1bdrm in a gated community. Stay yo ass at home lol. I revamped my apartment and am more than happy. But thanks for the insight into what the rental market is looking like right now.
My fav was #3 too. But the prices.... omg 😩 that’s how I felt when my husband and I went hunting for a new apt. Lol but those LA prices are worse than where we live! I would love to see your apartment makeover!
I’m in La. I have a 1 bd1ba for 2400$. I love living where I am and have incredibly good en-suite amenities and in the building so I’m hoping to continue living here. It also seems like the inflation of the rent market is starting to correct itself here.
I was born in LA but my family left at age 3, however I would be in LA every other weekend growing up since most of my family still resided there! I love it but understand it is pricey, I’ve always been curious about apartment hunting and the unique homes LA people have. Thanks for this Amanda💙💙💙💙
I’ve been following your content for the past couple of months as I’ve been in Mortgage industry for over 10 yrs now and looking to expand into loan signings. Just want to say thank you as your content has been very helpful and it’s also nice to see you adding different content as well. Keep it up!
good for you! lmk how the loan signing process has been going :) I'm curious to know how it is for someone with your experience and the current market. You're welcome, and I'm glad you're enjoying my new content ☺🫶 thanks for supporting!
I think the Chinatown apartment would’ve been option had you actually wanted to move. It wasn’t at the highest end of the budget and it did have lots of amenities.
Your place, where you are is fantastic! The price is right, and you can make it your Castle! Trust the process and save your money for the big prize! I do love walkable places, too! But, I did love Apt.3... Keep us up-dated on your new designs of your jazzy apartment and music! 😅🙌
Yo these laundry rooms you keep finding are truly impressive. I have lived in LA my whole life and did communal laundry for too long! In unit washer dryer for life homie!
Thank you for this video. I go on Zillow to look at apartments and looking at videos makes it much more personal. Rent out here in L.A. is crazy (im in the ktown area)
Here in Sunnyvale California for a two bedroom roughly around 4,000 monthly rent I would think be close to LA rent cost that’s how it is out here in California in the Bay Area I would think it would be room 5, 5000 for three bedroom not including transportation food expenses electricity etc.
Love your content, isn't it a shame that the East and the West Coast are so outrageous. But you can move into a three-bedroom in the center of the country for a quarter of that and still have all the amenities. Maybe when the market is better you should consider buying
Apartment for reminds me similar to where I live now but probably not as big not as modern but it’s similar for a brand new apt most of farmers I live in do not have a island table that I’m very fortunate I have a very spacious kitchen with a downsize is that it’s not a divided room it’s it’s a kitchen/living room so you have to think of the box to make it work functional but I do have my own laundry does have storage on the property I do have my own washer and dryer in the unit two bathrooms I do have a walk-in closet that’s a lot bigger compared to where I lived for nine years bathrooms and a bit smaller but is it’s more updated versus how old apartment that I lived for nine years so there’s like if and cons when you moved into a new apartment I like apartment for beautiful I can’t even imagine how much the rent in LA is for modern apartments
I feel like there’s it’s income versus old apartment is modern apartments and sometimes they’re a lot smaller then older apartments are a lot spacious or bigger or has more storage than water apartments is a decision when you’re moving into a new apartment you might have to downsize some furniture so everything comes with it it’s in columns when you’re moving into apartment so I think older apartments and where you live it’s a lot cheaper and saving money versus these modern partners are just ridiculous in seeing how much rent is I can’t even like wrap my head around it I mean they’re beautiful but like you said it feels more cross your full view you don’t not enough spacious I guess you would say compare where you live versus appreciate what you have and stay where you’re at it will save yourself a lot of money
I'm not 👀 looking to buy nor rent apartment in LA to live; but, apartment number three were my favorite scenes by 👀 watching the attached 🎥 video showing; although all the apartments shown by the attached 🎥 video show were nice and decent looking apartments to could live in peacefully and respectfully.👌↗If persons have a hard time renting or selling apartments or houses they'd be smart to lower the price to be moreso comfortably affordable for persons in the communities to live in peace respectfully.↗I'm just saying; I'm just saying the for real of truth though by the beautiful and or helpful words of sign language.↗😁
I saw your apartment tour, and came to your channel to look for this exact video. Right?? I’m currently looking for an apartment to move into. 3rd one in 2 years…. And rent is getting worse and worse, but not only the price per month… the quality. You’ll be horrified to look on Zillow and see what people are “offering” for 1750+.. its absolutely disgusting. I’m moving to vegas after this year, im done. Fuck LA. I’m a single male so.. I don’t have the luxury of splitting rent with a partner, that’s GAME changing. The difference from an apartment going for 2k and one going for 3k is enormous. I’m talking 2 rooms, much nicer place different. Id settle for a studio since im only going to be there for a year, but you can’t find a DECENT studio. Literally 1800 will get you a piece of shit 400sqft crap hole. Mideswell spend the extra 200 and get a 1 bedroom. Rough out here for a pimp lol.
Liked your video, a comment is that in viewing apt. Too many close ups making itvdifficult to getvany sense of spacial overall view of these aprs. Just lots of details but no idea of where, what no idea. Camera is moving so fast, no way to grasp any idea what apt. would LOOK, FEEL each SPACE.
I avoid those places. I think East Hollywood would be more affordable. Those are usually the areas that most out-of-towners move to and I find a lack of community in Hollywood.
@@amandapluma i wont be coming with a car and i'll be looking for restaurant jobs, got any suggestions on walkable neighborhoods that i can easily commute to-and out of?
@@flavienadjovi That's kinda hard because LA is notorious for low walkability and public transportation. In your case Hollywood could work to your advantage. The problem with most walkable areas are that they're expensive. I would look in Rampart Village. That's near some new restaurants and might be more affordable.
Everything you didn’t like, was just LA. It’s normal because we all know LA is extremely segregated. Lol it’s LA You don’t like parking , paying crazy rent prices 😂 lollll girl none of us do but Welcome to Los Angeles CA. You’re really just paying for the name.

Yessss!! I’ve been scrolling for days looking for this type of apartment hunting, the other ones are so boring 😭
$3,000 for a 1bdrm that doesn't even have stainless steel appliances and newer canbinets is ridiculous.

Most important for me is good neighbors cause if the are noisy or party every weekend it will be hard to live in peace
i never thought about this bc LA is so loud already haha

thank you! I found it on Facebook marketplace. It was originally from Ikea but they discontinued it.

Just save - wait for the bubble to pop - then cap
yes, save for a house. Hopefully, I can afford it then.
Wow! The prices are off the Chain!
Perfect decision. Love your space. Have you looked in the real Eastside? Lincoln Heights, City Terrace or maybe Alhambra, Monrovia? Good luck!
Yep, $3k for an old one bedroom ( any 1 bedroom) is ridiculous
I'm moving to LA next month and I was just doing an apartment tour as well, but all online lol. Like you, I like the charm of the homes in LA!
good luck with your move! Ah I'm so glad you appreciate these spaces too.

Did the spot in Chinatown include parking? If so, that actually was a really good deal imo for where it's located and all the amenities and newness.
no it did not include parking. I think you're right, but that amount sounds insane to me 😩
I really like appartment 3 😍
Like subscribe ❤ thx for the inspo. Going apt hunting in la this weekend ! See u in traffic sometime

that's the goal 😩
How did you find these? Like what app or website?
I just walked around neighborhoods I wanted to live in. Saw for rent sings and called.
did the first one include parking?

If you’re willing to spend up to $4,500 then just buy a house.
