- Don't pay crazy dealer fees to change a Jaguar XK air filter that you can do with simple tools! Easy to follow steps, can be done in less than 1 hour. Yes this is a stupid design by Jaguar to put the air filter where you need to remove the front tire and wheel panel to reach it, but you can do this.
Thanks Doug for your well done video. I recently bought a 2010 XK and plan to do the simple maintenance work like this.

You can also do this with the wheel on. Just turn the wheel all the way to the right..

Not only do you save money,you also save time taking to mechanic ,getting aback home only to get a ride to go pick it up!
Yeah, you do NOT have to remove the wheel, although it makes is slightly easier. That much work for 'slightly' isn't worth it. Just crank each side toe-in and bend the liner.

Still a problem. When you try to install the new air filter it doesn't want to compress much laterally. I had to grind off some of the excess foam seal just to get the filter all the way in. Then I drove it in with a soft hammer.
True. Had a bear of a time reinstalling. But - perseverance...
