  • This is part three of my search for the Kenny Veach M Cave. In this video series, I perform a hike that closely mirrors the actual steps that Kenny Veach took when he made a video trying to rediscover a cave he stumbled upon on an earlier hike and where he experienced some sort of paranormal sensations upon trying to enter the cave. I use his video as a guide on this hike and match up each of his video scenes to make sure I stay on the correct track in this M Cave search.
For those of you who do not know, Kenny Veach was a fellow UA-camr that disappeared 6+ years ago in this very area. The M Cave is supposedly located about one hour northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada, and in a very rugged, mountainous, and inhospitable desert landscape. It is not known if he was continuing his search for the M Cave or on some other adventure when he disappeared, but his phone was found at the mineshaft I visit in this video, and his truck was found at the "trailhead" where I start this hike.
I have broken this long video search of the Kenny Veach M Cave down into several shorter segments. This is part three of three.

I think the M cave definitely exist, Kenny wasn’t sure exactly where he saw the cave at and being that he was so shaken up by the vibes, it made him confused about his area. I personally think it higher up then like he first said.

To be honest, the use of a drone would be perfect to find the entrance of a cave and cover a large area without breaking a sweat

Interesting... I’ve been all over those hills and have never heard Kenny’s story. Drop the pin on the valley that exits those mountains. I’d like to check it out next time I’m up there. Also, just a quick observation... if that was truly his last video and he didn’t find it, he probably changed his path slightly to cover a different area. No sense in getting skunked twice. That more dangerous valley at the end of this video looks interesting. Also, Kenny gave some horrible advice on his video... he said he liked to go as far as he can without water before drinking. I use to be a military instructor who would road march for miles with soldiers and have seen dozens of people drop from dehydration. If you start tripping that’s usually a sign to stop and drink. If you blow off some of these minor signs you will end up disoriented without realizing it eventually ending up face down in the dirt. If no one is there to loosen clothing, splash water on you and elevate your feet... it’s game over especially at an older age. I was hours away from death on a sheep hunt due to dehydration and I’m one who can go miles without water. I downed several bottles of water and still had a huge headache. I walked into the ER that night and they said I was hours away from potential death due to my age (40s). Another man had died the day before for the same reason so it’s a lot more common than we think in the desert. Anyway, it’s an interesting story and anyone who goes out.... drink water 😉

Kenny is in Mexico drinking Corona beer and laughing at everybody who's looking for him.

Dude chased the goat on his video, got off course, couldn’t find water in enough time, died of heat stroke, and weathered away into the mountain. RIP

I am haunted by any disappearance of someone in the wild. I think most people are. A young man went missing in Southern Utah a few years ago. His parents thought he had gone to school but when he didn't return they found his wallet, phone and what appeared to be a suicide note. People have been searching for him in the desert surrounding St. George, Utah for years. Suicide or not their friends and family never get closure. It's a terrible thing.

I think he wanted to disappear. The phone on the mine shaft was too convenient. I bet he had a burner phone and someone picked him up. Maybe he owed back taxes or child support. Maybe he wanted to create a legend. I bet he is alive somewhere. Great of you to take us along. Thanks!😀😀

He comitted suicide, it's pretty obvious by him leaving his cell phone so he couldn't be found, he didn't want to be found....he's at the bottom of a mine shaft somewhere....

A lot of the time when we find something cool in the bush, it's because it is off the path and out of the way. While we remember roughly where it was, we sometimes forget that we approached from a weird direction or went off trail to pee. A rockslide, a new plant, or a weird fold in the ground could obscure the entrance, too. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the M Cave existed in that area, either in scary valley or up along the hillside. Great video! I second the idea of a drone mission.

I enjoy you talking about and explaining the landscape, erosion and artifacts. I grew up with my Mom talking to me like this and it's become a part of my thought process during all outdoor adventures.

Really enjoyed the series. I can see it was hard on you, the terrain etc, but since hiking isn't my thing, I appreciate you bringing this to me and explaining all the formations and geo stuff. Very interesting. I think the poor man wanted to not be found and was more than able to accomplish that given his experience. RIP Kenny.

Yeah, that small cave/overhang is right out of the period correct descriptions of what they would use in that time frame. Really neat to see one. Also, really neat to see one without graffiti or modern vandalism.
