You definitely shouldn’t judge/assume/ be prejudiced towards someone because of race but that doesn’t mean that’s completely different from celebrating the fact that UA-cam is slowly but surely becoming a more diverse platform. Something I recommend is some sort of small safe for valuables or a smell proof bag lockable bag just in case you have any... plants that campuses don’t like
My biggest advice for freshman: check what style bathrooms you have. I go to a smaller school so most of our dorms have suite-style bathrooms & that def saved me a lot of money on like a shower caddy and shower shoes (no that's not nasty we Clorox the shower every week) and also like a diffuser (check what you can bring) that made my room smell so amazing throughout the year. On top of the nice clothes make sure they are business casual or bring those types of clothes!! You DO have presentations and professors rely on business casual clothes for these presentations as a portion of your grade sometimes!

i’m going into my sophomore year and this was such a good reminder of things to bring! also!! i recommend keeping an extra roll of toilet paper and an extra hand soap in your room, especially if you have a community bathroom. the amount of times we all ran out of soap and toilet paper was unbearable and could take up to 3 days to be refilled. not sure y’alls schools will have this problem but i definitely didn’t think of this happening entering college
