  • BECAUSE | AS | SINCE | FOR - English grammar step-by-step
    Hi Everyone!
Let's look at the differences between BECAUSE, (because of), AS, SINCE, and FOR. It's all about reason and result.
Yes, 'as, since, and for' can be used in many different ways, but today we are specifically looking at them as synonyms of 'because'.

🔥COMMON QUESTIONS: Arnel, how do you edit your videos? What software do you use?
I use a combination of these two tools:
For video editing / screen recording
    ✅ techsmith.z6rj...
For images / graphics / stock videos / thumbnails:
    ✅ partner.canva....
(These are both affiliate links. I'll earn a small commission if you make a purchase at no additional cost to you 💜.)
I've used both these tools since day 1. If you go to my very first UA-cam videos, you'll see my progression from then until now. You can do it too!
✉️Let me know in the comments or send me a direct Instagram message (arnelseverydayenglish) if you want me to make a video lesson on how I create, edit and design my lessons. If enough people are interested, I'll definitely make one for you guys!

I've been wondering if these linking words have the same meaning in the last weeks, so I searched on youtube and I had all my questions answered. It's insane when you notice that your English improvement is real. You feel satisfaction because your English sounds stronger than before and your brain is getting faster everyday. I want to be a teacher as well in the future. What a pleasure to teach someone and give confidence to him in a language!

I didn't know there's a slight difference between CUZ and as/ since. Also, didn't know when to use comma to separate clauses. Even now when I hear someone saying "as S+V," I can be sure that's a correct structure. Can't thank you more~

Your class is lucid and comprehensive for me. You explain the phrases in English, which is a little bit confusion for the learners, with good examples so that everyone can learn it with clarity and gratification. I like your pedagogy that highlights the important of using the phrases in everyday life. To be frank, I could perceive everything you taught thinking if you could explain such elusive ideas in English. And I learnt that you do it on You Tube. I am delighted to know that. 👍👍👍

From the perspective of a Spanish native speaking (I'm Argentinian, actually) these kind of explanations are so helpful because is quite hard to understand how to speak English properly, actually it's quite important to pay attention in the context. 👨🏻‍🏫 Hello, Izna. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I have an answer to your question. Both (seems sad) and (seems to be sad) are very similar. The difference between them refers to emphasis. ‘Seems sad’ is more certain. ‘Seems to be sad’ is less certain.
Your other example sentence refers to an action in the past that can be continued into the present. My example sentence is: ‘Having been able to ride a bike from four years old, my friend became a champion cyclist age sixteen.’ I hope this is helpful for you.
