LI Northshore Big Bluefish Fishing Fall 2022

Saw some birds hovering and throwing jigs to see if there are any albies or stripers, no but we end up with big bluefish chasing our micro jigs. I was not prepared with my light setup and thinking it ight break my rod. We survived.

A friend of mine just sent me a report, if you are planning to hit Jamaica Bay again, there are getting BIG weakfish and Stripers right underneath the birds, along the Police heliport by Floyd Bennett. They are limiting out on the weak fish in 10 minutes, I know it's only 1, but it's catch & release the rest of the time, the Weaks are around 30 inches.
