I can go on with likely 4 to 5 dozen more lies that have damaged us as a whole Country and harmed every American citizen than what this clown circus trial is attempting to do. I agree... Nancy Pelosi brought her son with her on her Asia trip to make business deals and the media didn't mention it
It always confised me how this could be a conspiracy involving thousands of people: other teachers, students, parents, police, reporters, responding EMT's; ER personnel, morgue attendats and other hospital personnel. How did this ever gain traction? Have we really become this stupid, or is this just the basket of deplorables? His staff should be sued as well.
"this just the basket of deplorables" is the correct answer -- stay strong, we have to defeat them by voting for sane people (not republicans)
@@NITESKYLIGHT you say..........Have we really become this stupid? I hate to say it but it looks like the answer is yes.
If you can answer me this question then maybe the rest can start to make sense. How is it that Gene Rosen and his story passed scrutiny? Do you recall his wild account of seeing 6 kids sitting in a circle outside, not knowing what was going on other than a loud bus driver yelling that 'it's going to be ok', then apparently leaving? Then his claim that he just casually invites these 6 children inside his home where they play with his large collection of stuffed animals for 15-30 minutes before he apparently finds out there was a shooting? How is it possible that this story was all over the news where he did multiple interviews talking about it, and these 6 children were somehow accounted for during this crisis to where his story was corroborated? The man was clearly lying, yet we had the media covering him all over the place and no one questioning him despite him even having conflicting accounts of what happened. His acting for the cameras was even very creepy and odd. You can see the video even on youtube of him "rehearsing" his lines, where he is flat out caught red handed literally doing just that. I know that he could just be a bad apple in this ordeal, but I have a hard time piecing together how his story became part of the "official story" in the first place.
Is it just going to be considered ok and normal in a situation like SH to where 6 young children without supervision could end up at some random strange mans house and be invited in to play with stuffed animals.. and that's considered so normal that the news is even going to cover it without batting an eye?
Is there ANY "conspiracy" you believe to be true? Please tell me one....
Disgusting that he doesn't show any remorse, instead, he is asking for donations from the audiences, not realizing, not recognizing what damages he had done to the survivors of the sandy hook shooting. Like Alex or like Trump, those people never recognize the value of human lives, they only see the "physical value" of money only.
Trump and jones are both narcissistic and sadistic people. They are not able to feel or have compassion for anyone and another commonality is they don’t know the difference between a lie and the truth. They are both delusional and obsessed with money and power and they actually truly believe they’re above the law.
I can guarantee you that he doesn’t care at all, I don’t know if it’s that he didn’t recognize it. Why would he regret what he said, he initially made money off of it.

I find it absolutely incredible that people in this are saying the trial is violating his 8th for cruel and unusual punishment. These people are beyond parody. Truly zero intelligent life forms in that audience.

Cruel and unusual punishment that HE caused the FAMILIES
Remember the last lines of "The Galaxy Song":
"There must be intelligent life somewhere out in space
Because there's bugger all here on Earth."
There is NOTHING violating Jones' Eighth Amendment protections against cruel or unusual punishment. For one thing, this is a civil trial, NOT a criminal trial. The Eighth Amendment protects people convicted of crimes from having to endure punishments like boiling alive or hanging, drawing and quartering. Civil trials for civil offenses AREN'T covered by the Eighth Amendment.
And, while we're at it, let's consider what Jones has done to the lives of the Sandy Hook victims' families. As a result of his propaganda, families have been harassed verbally, by mail, and email. They've been threatened with death. They've had to move after being doxxed. And through all of this, Jones has continued to claim that the Sandy Hook massacre was a "false flag" operation to get people to give up their Second Amendment rights.
Bull$h!t! Jones deserves to lose EVERY SINGLE CENT of his wealth.
@@johndemeritt3460 Well said!
Cruel and unusual punishment has nothing to do with paying a fine, no matter how much the amount is. Cruel and unusual punishment is more like being beaten up by law-enforcement, locked up in solitary confinement for a long period of time or simply being unjustifiably put on death row.
If one does considers paying a fine is cruel and unusual punishment then they should look at what the banks and credit card companies are doing to their customer base.
Alex Jones was convicted and founded guilty of committing a crime of defamation. Anything short of not being locked up is not cruel and unusual punishment.
Of course, only Texass would have a “protect the criminals” law that prevents you from getting justifiable compensation for criminal damages. Hey Texass, please secede from the union and take some of these other fascist states with you - like Florida. State motto: “Fiendship.“

It’s time for an indictment and jail time in addition to him losing every dollar he earned through years and years of lying and having his followers harass the parents who have suffered with the loss of their children.

I'm glad about the verdict and I also watched the economist's testimony.
I found his approach to valuation sensible - but it's based on his companies' ability to generate future profits, not on cash seen lying around visibly ready to be seized.
AJ started the usual bankruptcy shenanigans already by syphoning off cash to other entities to state that Infowars or whatever his central business entity is called is broke.
The economist saw through this - but I guess AJ's fanboys won't get there... they might even be bamboozled into donating him money....
Mate, Alex Jones has just demonstrated to the whole world that he is a grub. Grüße aus Australien.
He should take note(s) on what most homeless people wear. Then maybe next time he can perhaps convince the jury about his financial state further.
One way to ensure this guy can't enjoy his wealth: send him to jail. He committed perjury.
Right? I know this isn’t a criminal trial but why aren’t the relevant prosecutors bringing charges against him right now? It’s insane
49M, 100M, even 200M is not enough for his lies and profiteering off of the death of children. Everything he made and will make from this should go to the parents and the survivors of Sandy Hook…he should be made an example of what “will” happen for these types of lies.

The jury could have doubled the amount of the punitive damages……and it still wouldn’t have been enough!
Fortunately there are two more trials remaining. Both are going to go against Jones because .. well let's be honest Jones will ruin it for himself.. and each comes with its own punitive and compensatory damages.
As long as he walks the Earth a free man, he hasn't been held accountable. There is no monetary amount that could reimburse our society for the damage he has done to it. The only thing we can do is prevent further damage by stopping him. Sometimes, fighting fire with fire is all you can do.
That's the fault of the law. Money doesn't repair harm. Jail time is a better deterrent.
the kind & type & quality of the harm he has caused cannot be obviated by cash exchange - agree 100%
@@NITESKYLIGHT Right. It reinforces the idea that if you have enough money, you can pay your way out of anything. This is false.
@@chrisdonovan8795 I think money could repair harm if there was injury. Some of the parents had their places shot up by nutty Jones cult goons trying to "protect the 2A" or whatever. So now they have debt for buying security services, and having to emergency move to hide from these violent freaks. Giving them some "free" time to unwind from all this anxiety and stress would probably really help them. Free time costs lots of money in America.
I do get your point though. This should be a criminal trial.
I'm so glad they are sucesful that was a dispicable thing he did and I feel there should be consequences for such vile and unessary behavior, we as Americans have free speach and it shouldn't be used in this fashion.
Maybe there should be a pauper’s prison where he claims he is bankrupt or cannot prove he is bankrupt, he goes to jail until someone pays his bill. Magically, the bill might suddenly be paid.
Better make it that he has to pay rent & board while in that prison - this boy looks like he could put away some groceries!
