Just wanted to point out that Chi-chi's "I know you into me" is a reference to when Cam said he was "into Misty" in the pokemon trainer rap cypher
Another line she had "cascading victory" refers to her gym badge the cascading badge.

My main issue with this cypher is that it felt really short. Like compared to the Trainer cypher, this almost felt half of the length. Plus, I wish there was a reference to Erika being high as a kite lol
They had the same length a verse as the other ones I'm pretty sure, but I guess it has to do with having less characters to rap overall. Left it feeling strangely short.
I would like a reference to her being the leader of the gym leaders in the manga

Brock I counted 10 lines in this, others had 14 and a couple had 16. In the last one they were using 16 lines each.
That could just be because of how it's presented in the subtitles at the bottom though. What exactly the reason for it was, but that's probably why it feels oddly short.
It feels like every Cypher gets shorter and shorter to me
Disagree on the Shara verse, love how she ended that last line.
Different strokes I guess, I just don't like slant rhymes being pushed too far, they pull me out of the music
I think that my main issue with a lot of Cam's new cyphers is that the length of them are so short on average now. Most of the cyphers over the past 3 months have only been a bit longer than some of Cam's single releases. 8 characters being covered with only 3:32 seconds of song, around 20 or so seconds not even having verses. That's like 24 seconds per person which just kinda keeps anything from really hitting for me. This is also a problem I had with the Masters 8 cypher but I felt like it was handled alright there. This could just be me but personally I think longer form cyphers work better.
I agree honestly the new ones feel a bit too in and out if that makes sense.
The main over arching problem with this cypher is because the verses were so short, there's just not enough time to actually put any sort of major 'wow' bar and it was just focused on how well they could stick to the tempo while adding in the pokemon references. In my opinion, all the verses were pretty consistently average, no standout 'bad' ones or any standout 'amazing' ones in my opinion. While the cypher is definitely fun to listen to and fast paced, its definitely not my favourite in terms of how much will i relisten to it.

I like where most people would have tried to force a faster rap but instead Shaara just breaks it down and slows it
The beat allowed for amped intensity and speed. Omega, Peso and Jhb worked it. Good cypher overall, light on bars, high energy.
I feel the alakazam/museum line was passable since Shara ended them both with “ayam”, but that’s just me.
I’m sure if pronounced correctly, the two may rhyme. Rather creative on Shara’s end.
It could but zam and zeum might be seen as a stretch, especially if she uses a hard e.
@@Krebsmasquerade I’d say Shara should have stretched the pronunciation of “museum” to make it rhyme with “Alakazam” and everything would’ve been awesome there.
I was under the impression that that was an in verse rhyme. Rhyming the "muse in" with "museum" since her flow was broken up in that line. Though that's just my take on it.

You're crazy for getting on to Shara about the museum rhyme when V!ce destroyed her 'sation, patience' rhyme scheme with made sure
V!ce is newer to rapping and he knows that (probably) shara BEEN rapping tho so its more expectation

Erika's verse actually had a lot of references. I think her verse is overlooked since most people don't know her that well

I think Shara’s last two lines (hopefully I quote this properly)“if you can’t make me crack a smile I’ll make you a muse in my museum” maybe she was going for the anime reference where Sabrina’s telekinetic powers were so strong she could turn people into dolls. I like the anime call back because it ties in well with beginning of her verse. Hope this maybe helped though again this is only my best guess on what I think she was attempting.
As many people were saying I liked it I thought it was good but dam did half of these guys even breathe during their verses they went lightning fast. For that reason I enjoyed any verse I could understand without the subtitles the most.
The reference with the anime is clear if you've seen the episode, but that doesn't explain why she said 'muse in my museum'. If 'museum' was used to finish a rhyme it'd be understandable, but it so obviously doesn't rhyme with 'Alakazam' in any perceivable universe

This is probably my fav cypher. But then again i really enjoy high energy stuff. And peso was my fav verse. But Lt. Surge is also an absolute chad. (Erika)
Knowing what i know of the characters, I enjoyed it. I do think it coulda been longer to allow them to shine and bar out, yet on that same front Sparx and Peso were perfect length wise imo. I really wanna see Sparx and Peso on a high energy track. Erika’s verse i do agree the singing didn’t seem to mesh the best but I didn’t hate it. Still enjoyed the cypher as a whole
Why is it that whenever PE$O does a verse in a cypher he just goes feral?
he doesn't have time to build up or cool dowm, so he just goes off.

My only problem with Vice's verse to me was her second set of bars.
She had the slant-rhymes with Sentsation and Patience, but then just anabdoned it. I liked the Victory bell, but felt the fourth line should have brought it back.
Probably one of my favourite cyphers to be honest, I think my opinions are the total opposite lmao. Chi-chi's verse is my favourite, Jhb is a close second and I love Shara's as well. Always fun to see these tho

I really liked omega's verse, i felt like him and cam definitely flowed with the beat the best. Everyone did pretty okay at worst. That being said, i don't believe there to be universe where Alakazam rhymes with museum.
If this becomes a series for Cam, i'd love to see you on it for gen 2, since I believe that's your favorite?
You can definitely stretch Alakazam and Museum together, as I read your comment I just thought it for a second and was like yea that could work. Ala-kazam Mew-zam. It’s a stretch but it still works.
The issue is that there’s just not enough content for them to rap about. Doing gym leaders is kinda difficult. Ur only working with the mons they have and whatever backstory they have.

Ok, I like what Shara was going for, she is my favorite verse, but like you said, she didn’t rhyme at the end. It sounded like she said AlakaSEUM or rhyme with Museum which I like what she was trying to do, but she missed it. And tbh, I didn’t mind V!ce’s singing parts, but her rap was def the strongest. If she rapped the whole part, it may be been a much stronger verse.

Here’s my take on this cypher: it’s good, but not amazing. Nothing really crazy stood out to me, but there were no bad verses imo. I also wish the cypher was longer. I feel like a cypher should be at least 4-5 minutes minimum. So yeah, this was a good cypher, but not one of my favorites.
With all the criticism on length and rushed production, I am optimistic that Cam will make longer cyphers for possible upcoming gym leaders.

yeah each cypher gets worse and worse but it is what it is they pull views so it does what it do
I honestly agree with you cause as much as I did overall enjoy it I feel like no pokemon cypher has topped the rival one in terms of Cam's cyphers so far which is a shame since I know I've heard much better from these exact same artists.

Blue and Jasmine are both Johto timeline gym leaders so at best they'd be in a 16 man Johto cypher.

So, I’ve been seeing several users say negative things about it (such as this being their least favorite of the cyphers). I suppose I can agree that it felt rushed, but I feel like you all should stop pointing out the bad or at least, point out its pros and cons simultaneously. But I suppose your receptions could be a strength on Cam Steady’s side, as it does have him learn from his mistakes. With that said, I hope that this persuades Cam to not rush his future tracks and to go back to sixteen bars of equal time like with the majority of the cypher tracks. Let’s all hope that this new year will bless us with rap cyphers that we will all remember as forever excellent.

I think its a good cypher but it's kinda like a song, as in, it's best listened to all together.

Problem with the cypher that yes its fast paced and fun to listen to but doesnt give enough time for every character to shine and show what they can do unlike cyphers like Legendary, Pseudo, Trainer, Rival, Champion

Surprised Shwab didn't mention that Cam rhymed nothing with Silver. I love Cam's verse so much, but when I caught that, it really threw me off
Instead that line featured 'On' rhymes 'The Pokemon Don, gonna son you like you're Silver. Shwab previously criticised Breeton's use of a similar rhyming pattern in a livestream but abated when reminded of a three rhymes then a break on the fourth style bars.

This one just didn’t hit with me. I honestly think that Cam should start focusing on something other than Pokémon Cyphers. Maybe cyphers for other game series and original songs not Pokémon related. I know it really helped to boost his channel, but they just aren’t hitting near as much anymore
Pokemon has too much content to milk. I'm sure he'll do other cyphers in between like he has done in the past, YuGiOh, Sonic, etc. But we have the rest of the Gym Leaders, the Elite Four members and heck even a Mythical Pokemon cypher (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, etc). Easy content lol
Though I will say, a Persona or Final Fantasy cypher could be interesting.
Pokémon just makes a very strong and reliable source of content. This cypher got over 40K views in the first few hours, I think this gives him breathing room to work on his more niche stuff
There’s only so much you can do tho before you start repeating bars for different characters. The length is an issue too. A cypher is generally longer than an original song.
@@rileyghent6137 regarding your length issue, what is the range of length for Cam’s original songs compared to the range of his cyphers?
@@angelicwarrior118 his originals are usually 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. Imo cyphers should be at minimum 4 1/2 minutes so the artists at least have some sort of chance to work some heavy hitting bars in their verse

This was probably my least favorite pokemon cypher, so many of the other ones are just so hype and have some really standout verses
I don't think you being "Hater" just because you don't like it, I didn't think it was as good as others. I only think you hating when you say "they sang, so their verse was bad" vibes. I don't see that HERE though. I think it would help if heard why, instead of it sounding like singing on cypher= bad.
For me, Chi-chi's verse for Misty is my #1 favorite throughout this Pokemon rap cypher.
I think this is one of my least favorite cyphers, but Peso and Sparx were lit as fuck.

I’m so burnt on these by now… and this one felt incredibly mid.. I can’t really pull a single line out of it that stuck with me. But I can’t really say I’ve re listened to many of these but maybe the eevee cypher
i wont lie sometimes the women on cyphers ruin them. they need to work on their writing skills. Sailourlove for me is the best example almost everytime i think meh when i hear her
