Here is a great song by Judy Rodman. From the album titled "A Place Called Love," this track reached #7 on the Billboard Country chart in 1987 (MTM 72083).
Those lyrics are fire. She could flat sing. I'm 47 and i barely remember this song in my early teens. Thinks to a decent memory and the internet i was able to find it again after all these years.
I rember this one, but forgot all about it. However as soon as I seen the title and artist name I swear I could remeber every word before I heard it again. Sure is crazy how someone can rember that stuff after years of not hearing it.
I heard this song for the first time today on a classic country station. I don't remember her name or any other songs listed. This song is great, though.
I was a big fan back in the day and still am! I too had the cassettes, but have them tucked away somewhere. I've looked several times over the years on iTunes unsuccessfully but was delighted to find it here! Thank goodness for UA-cam! Judy, your voice is truly special! I've always wondered what turns your life has taken. I hope to find your new stuff soon! Love Ed.
I have spent some time wondering just what exactly his bags were indeed full of. Condoms? Lube? Car Magazines? Reeces Peanut Butter Cups? Enquiring minds want to know !
She was definitely NOT a one hit wonder. Besides this song, Judy made the top ten three other times, "Until I Met You" was #1 in 1986, "She Thinks She'll Marry" was #9 in 1986, and "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" was #5 in 1987. She charted a total of 10 times between 1985 and 1988. Her MTM record label folded in 1987, prior to her third album being released. Since that time, Judy has been a well-known songwriter and a sought-after vocal coach in Nashville.
Gotta say that country music isn't what it used to be...Judy is a great singer and songwriter...Thanks Judy for all the great music and memories!!!
Haven't heard this since .... '87.
Good to hear it again.
1987 - God, a lifetime ago, and I remember it like yesterday . . .

@@christophercarlson5624 I'm also rather partial to 70s outlaw country myself...
Excellent....I'm turning some folks from work onto this song too, and when I tell them it's from 1987, they are shocked. I love it.
Great song! Takes me back to my childhood in 87. Great simple times and amazing country music
I grew up in the Texas panhandle with farm and ranch girls and we played the hell out of this song.

He had ladies undergarments in them. He was a very private and closeted cross dresser.
Why wouldn't they ride horses?
girls ride horses better than us men do
What ever happened to Judy Rod man? Was she a one hit wonder?

She won Best New Female Artist at ACM awards in 1986.
She co-wrote LeeAnn Rimes’s second single “One Way Ticket (Because I Can)” in 1996
SEX ON A HORSEEEEEEEEE
