I admired him for visiting those tiny islands that were part of the Commonwealth, but had never received any attention before from the British royals. It meant so much to the residents of these places; when he died, many held up the pictures of his visit from decades earlier that they had treasured. This touched my heart, everyone deserves to feel included!
I think Prince Philip had a real knack for putting people at ease and on a personal note. I really don't think anyone else could have supported the Queen the way he did for 73 years. He was the perfect man for the Queen because he married her knowing that she would be Queen one day, it just happened much sooner than anyone thought it would.
Adored Prince Philip, and I'm an American. He reminded me so much of my father, whom I adored. Good men are generally hard to find. My husband is very like the two of them. Family, duty, service and intelligence. One can't ask for more.
Prince Philip reminds me of the two great men in my life. My 96 yr old grandfather who is still alive to this day and my husband. Whenever I have matters of the heart I go to one of them and they will always give me the advice or criticism I so need. I'm going to be a wreck when my grandfather passes. RIP Prince Philip. I wished I could have met you in this life ... but maybe the next. We owe you more than our gratitude ❤

He did convert to The Church of England, too, but I think if he wanted to keep his early faith, that would have been fine, too. I think he did it for her, she was a sincere Christian of the English Church and her faith meant a lot to her.
