It’s hard to put into words, but I really got Kumoko’s frustration at the end of the battle. This isn’t a monster that she killed out of self-defense, she purposely went out to hunt Araba. After such a bitter and narrow fight, having Araba calmly accept defeat and death is a bit jarring. She’s reminded that this wasn’t some random monster, this was a noble beast, a creature with intelligence that she killed out of whim, not necessity. Plus, having struggled her entire time in the labyrinth, having an enemy as powerful as Araba give up in the end might have “diminished” Kumoko’s win in her head.
That’s probably why she also destroyed his body as well, instead of eating it. Araba wasn’t prey. He was an enemy, powerful and wise. Eating him would’ve just left an even worse taste in her mouth than what she already had.
On a more existential level Araba is a being who's power she acknowledge. In her mind he is a source of fear and admiration. Seeing such a great being accept defeat is diametrically opposed to her views as someone who's been struggling even when death seemed certain. Thematically this can be interpreted as her continuing to oppose the idea of accepting death. She can understand and respect it but she can't accept it.
This is kind of like her graduation exam. She went out and picked this fight rather than stumbling across it and scrambling to survive. She made a plan, set the stage, and is giving it her best against one of the monsters that nearly broke her from terror just by being near it. Because she's so messed up, she gets so affected by what others decide for themselves and that's why she's left so bitter
Great way to put it. No cap i started to watch this anime when i was in a bad mood and now im better
The promised neverland?
@@johanfabriciochavezbarreto8419 yea
@@Zenin_Loutfi yes i used cap just to make it more dramatic !!! xD
@@borutodragneel2352 oh god they had a slid show of events that should of been in the anime
When a Demon Queen was talking about the Earth's dragon, I suspect she remembered her life as a spider !!
me pretending i have any idea what this is about: spider, yes.
Feels bad for the Dragons in anime most of the time they gets killed.
I bet In a couple of years there going to be a anime called so I’m a dragon now what I have money in the table for this
@@ilovekirbydontjudge8465 now we only have to hope that it happens one day, i would also come back from dead for this
Mirego HD lol it prob would be 2137 when it happens lol
Dragon maid is there for the save
I just adore Kumoko.
That was the most epic battle so far !!! And the animation was just fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Spider + Saiyan = Kumoko
Amazing fight. I’m so happy seeing that little spider get stronger. 🥲
Can we yalk about how they made this fight 200x more brutal than in the light novel I just read that part and the part where she kept loosing body part was all anime exclusive yet It did bring the stakes wayyyy higher
It was so much more intense than I was expecting. 😆
1:14 encapsulates the get in spongebob meme lol
I honestly liked that dragon's design.
Now this is pretty cool, i’m loving this anime
Therapist: Kawaiider isn't real. Kawaiider can't hurt you.
Kawaiider: 1:14
I find that Araba knew that She would relish his struggle so my takeaway was that this was a Final Flex before the End.
And if the dragon isn't dead after that, then she's doing something wrong.
He wasn't dead after all that but he killed himself
@@バブル-w4b nope, she killed him
@@MegaRyuki he gave up
@@QuartzQuill And she still killed him after he turrned off his skills because any tiny movement or strain in his body would drain the rest of his red SP wich would mean instant death that would be cause by KUMOKO
She kills him either way
That was Phase 1.
The clip ends right before he goes into Phase 2.
Spoilers ahead:
He eventually gets cornered and is forced to die any which way. Thus, it gives up and kills it's-self on her checkmate attack.
The other replies are mistaken. It fully gives up and vanishes of it's own volition rather than struggling to survive. This in-turn upsets her as she has tried to live for years now.
Nice catch! 😎
I honestly thought that this would be the last episode, but then I googled it and realised there will be 12 more
this fight was awesome 10/10 for me
Same
Kinda feels weird that after beating the most powerful monster in the most dangerous dungeon in the world, she Only went up 5 levels. While yes that is a lot i’d expect closer to at least 8 levels
Without knowing the evolution chain of the earth dragon, it’s hard to say if she deserved more, but the low level increase implies that they were close to each other in evolutionary tiers. If Araba was on the final tier of the earth dragon, then Kumoko was at least one tier below him.
Not the most powerful. Not even the strongest dragon.
Araba isn’t even the strongest earth dragon
You capping. Araba is a dragon worthy of praise, but the labyrinth is a nest full of true monsters.
i feel bad for all the pain she went through. Ow. Just Ow
Imagine losing to a spider, WeirdChamp
Imagine the slime being here lol
Battle of Might, wit and mind. Awesome episode can't wait to see her fight Mama
2:12 Unlimited Poison Works
Araba's fate was sad but also good because kumoko gave him a chance to really push his limits and perish with dignity, we all die someday but scarcely few of us get to live
I like it best when she’s 2D animated
first it was the frog, then the fire dragon. now the only earth dragon who survived and encounter with the demon lord. araba was probably the strongest monster in the labyrinth. i am so proud of this spiderling
He wasn't even the strongest dragon.
Such a cutie final boss spider ^^
No gonna lie, I was at the edge of my seat
Love the fight, tear fell after Arabaswas ready to die, i wish Kumo woukd at least bow to him in respect
She hates him I guess you can say he’s the reason why she get traumatized if I am right
@@ilovekirbydontjudge8465 i know that she hates him, but then she felt bad for killing him, if i was in her place i would definetly bow to him, he deserves it so much
Reči Woltrax I think she felt bad about it because araba basically taught kumoko to become strong to beat those who look done on you
@@RetchiWoltr4x she literally struggled with everything she had, dirty tricks, fear of death, on the edge...
His "I nobly accept death, worthy adversary, and turn off my skills" does not sit right with her. It is completely at odds with how she has survived.
She cannot respect it or understand it, when people die they just...die, after all.
Could you imagine what that kind of sight that would have been to a human?
This fight was everything I hoped it would be and more.
When I watched this episode this entire fight scene was cut from the episode on crunchyroll
1:15 my reincarnated spider cant be this cute...
People stop sleeping on this anime and just actually pay attention to the plot you may enjoy it
The best episode so far, really Great battle i must say!
I cant wait to see more lore
POV: you're not early you're just at the right time
She gonna be dinner is served. Today special is earth dragon
1:15 That’s the face of someone who has lose their mind
Awesome So I'm a Spider, So What? Video.
Dude this episode was AWESOME 🤩. How many episodes are there gonna be? I really want to read the light novel now.
It's going to be 24 episodes, unfortunately we won't get the next episode next week ):
João Felipe de Miranda Nunes wait what you mean we won’t get the episode next week pal tell me this a joke I have to have my weekly kumoko and jjk finish what am I supposed to do on Friday now ;-;
@@ilovekirbydontjudge8465 Well, most seasons have a 1 week break where they air specials or other broadcasts. It's just how TV works.
when you're playing undertale anime version(game of thrones style), but instead of playing as frisk, you play as muffet:
those web orbs that she throws kinda reminds me off carol malus dienheim from symphogear
Solid Episode!!! really good one
Kumoco is the demon king confirmed.
This is like monster hunter.
Kumo-Chan: GATE OF BABYLON-Poison Infinity prison!
nice épisode, one of the better actualy
This was a sick fight. They both fought hard and intelligently. Something few newer animes seem to understand. Explosions and insane skills are great but if your idea to use them is stands there take the enemies attacks then shred then its just boring.
Spider vs Frog- What the heck am I watching?
Spider vs Monkies: What the HECK am I watching?
Spider vs Dragon: WHAT THE HECK AM I WATCHING
This is me in a few years when a new anime game comes out
As an LR reader this fight was well adapted
I can't remember any major details skipped for this fight. They did skip the part where mother basically destroys the fire dragon that Kumoko encountered.
La araña más poderosa a la que nadie se le puede oponer
