Back a while ago, me and one of my friends would play random lobby games. He would always use a 9/25 or someting deck just for the memes right and go Brazil. Then, Brazil used to be a lot more crazy of a revolt as you had the buffed feitorias that gave xp and you had no cap to how many tcs you could build. So in theory, you could have a infinite flow of revolutionaries, tcs that exponentially grant you more tcs and the best eco in the game. Now the units were really bad but still funny. Another thing is that you could take the militia card and get a insane over pop with militia men. Think he once got like 2k over pop. My friend did a lot of crazy stuff to be frank but this strat was the funniest.
Tips for playing Brazil: First of and most importantly, Brazil is a civ dependant on Native aliances on the map, the more or the stronger the natives the better Brazil will fair in the game. As any civ try to add TC cards to further increase the ammount you can build. Bring in native upgrade cards, since Brazil can get up to age 5 Natives by the Rio de Janeiro Capitol Card. Also after sending Minas Gerais ship Bonifácio card, as it gives you either a coal, gold, silver, copper or diamond mine and upgrades the gather rate of it. There is a card that allows you to have 2 3000 hp explorers that you can ransom without paying any gold so that's 2 constant 3k unit tanking hits. With the eco better settled you can ship Bahia Card that potentially gives you Age 5 Conquistadores (or age 3/veteran if the native upgrade was not researched in the capitol) and 2 churches, to a total of 3 (if you play as italy you get 2 churches and up to 3 Basilica if the church card was sent aka Statuto Albertino, as well as Uffizi)
As Italy, try to get the Usury Card to pair with the feitorias and fix eco faster and the Papal Upgrades for Basilica Troops as you can ship these with 10 seconds after the infraestructure card is sent (so you can spam those papal lancers almost every 10 seconds or so). The church card Risorgimento can give you a 50 revolutionaries *as long as you lost 35 vills during the game or just flat 15 so you can pair that with them voluntários for a very nice overpop.
As Portugal, someone already said that you can have somewhere between 10 to 13 TC pumping resources and producing vills, you can also try to squeeze the church card for Ordinance troops since they are quite cheap and effective to spam considering all the eco techs you get as the revolt. They are the ones I'd recomend the most since they have more native upgrade cards to pair well later on with Brazil and can naturally have more TCs to pair with feitorias and Millitia spam.
As Dutch DON´T! It's not really worth it compared to South Africa, the only "nice" thing is the super high melee attack Ryuters and that's it.

@@lionheart9015 I mean it is true tho SA is always preferable. Also did a playtest with italians and the risorgimento card (the one that ships revolutionaries per dead vils) is doubled for brazil, so it goes from 30 voluntários up to 100 maximum units. A total of 4 basilicas and you do can send papal units within 10 seconds per card/troop.

This was done a while back. On a personal level I agree with most of the list. I think Romania is too high, Hungary too low (Romania is much weaker and is largely the same and has no Imperial units). Indonesia also got buffed since this list came out and I think its significantly better, those spearmen are nasty. I also think Barbary States is too low.

Though it was based heavily around what he likes to do i.e. go hyper focused on the revolt ✊ in a build order which has no way to win without revolting.
So, it kind of missed out on the value of good late game revolts like Finland and Brazil, which excel with more balanced ⚖ gameplay.

@@UniDocs_Mahapushpa_Cyavana The problem is at higher levels it doesn’t seem likely you can get away with that sort of thing. Brazil I’ve always thought is an exception because Port is more or less guaranteed to be able to do a revolt and it gets a lot of value from TCs which it gets anyway. Italy may be viable as well for Brazil.
Also the longer you leave a revolt the bigger economy your opponent has which means catching up and getting value from revolt toys (assuming you don’t plan on winning with the all in) is a lot harder. That’s why Lion tends to do all or nothing because doing a BO that has other victory conditions delays your revolt to the point of it not being worth it.
Finland might be good but the problem with Finland is that both Russia and Sweden aren’t great 1v1 civs right now and certainly not in the long run.
Brazil is a super good late game revolt. It gets the Capitol, generates a lot of value from the free Revolutionaries (especially in Dutch, as it gives access to a musket infantry unit), and fairly good late game cards 🎴.
It is best used if you play normally, with only a few deck/strategy adjustments like having fewer Industrial Age cards.
That means you won't revolt in most games, but it is still helping in spirit.
Brazil also synergises with the same stuff as Indonesia, so you can make a joint deck and strategy and choose based on situation.
Remember to use the select all TCs hotkey for it, as having so many TCs makes for fast vill production, but you need to avoid the micro being too much to keep up production.
Dutch get bank eco, and I think the citizens card allows you to have more villagers than what you usualy get with Dutch, not to mention citizens costing gold is very good if you already have your banks. But Dutch also have SA revolt, which we all know and love

I used a Brazil revolt strat when Feitorias still gave XP, the idea was the town centers gave me a full army of VdP and the factories +shipments gave me heavy cannons

Brazil is also a revolt for Dutch and Italy. Dutch because the Norteast has once been conquered temporarily by them and Italy because a) Italian immigration was a huge thing and b)my state's famous general was literally THE Giuseppe Garibaldi having an anime filler in Rio Grande do Sul.
In original, ottos also could revolt if i recall. Makes sense cause Levantine Arabs were also a huge immigration group from the empire era
Yes Ottomans were in the original instead of Italians. But it would be better if it was french in original and had them aswell in DEc, since France had a Colony in Espirito Santo and Rio called France Antartique were they and the portuguese caused the Tamoio War/Massacre and lead to a portuguese victory and consolidation over the region now know as both Rio de Janeiro and Espirito Santo.
BTW the reason Portugal can revolt into Colômbia and Peru is because 3 states of Brazil were originaly theirs, Rondônia and Roraima were part of Grand Colômbia and Acre was part of Peru-Bolívia Confederation.
If you're really cooking with Brazil, you can ship the Port Age 4, 2 TC card to go up to 12 tcs in Brazil revolt (Even 13 if you manage to somehow fit the age 3 1 TC card in as well)
wow . A lot of new things to see. In the Haudenosaunee, a good rush can also be done in the Second Age. And if the native only quests for wood and food according to the map, then even better.

Lion I told you about this build as one of the first things I ever told you :D. I wanted you to try it out and find a good build for it. What do I need to do to get your attention man? I'm too slow and anxious to play on the ladder but I know the stats in this game extremely well, especially for revolts. This is like the third time this has happened where you act all surprised and amazed at something that I told you ages ago :D. There's still other things too that I've said that haven't been on this channel yet and they are just as crazy and potentially viable as this.
'Brazil is garbage' 'Those militia are so weak' 'C tier garbage' on your list. That's what you kept telling me. Never mind getting 450 resources of value from your town centers every 2 minutes 10 seconds. Nope, garbage you said. Still honestly I think you should send the vill card first. It's very unlikely you can't afford to. If you've got that many TCs its pretty easy to rebuild your economy. If it goes long enough you also get Imperial eco upgrades and Jaguncos are absolutely ridiculous. Independent Dragoons are also very good but Jaguncos have like 400+ HP for 120 food with folk heroes. Legendary Natives are also an option and you get good native shipments too.
Also the TC maximum gets put up to 8 regardless of who you use to revolt to Brazil. You can do it as Italy and Dutch too. Dutch is kinda bad but Italy is good. Italy can recover from revolt faster with advanced arsenal techs which make the revolutionaries even stronger, getting 10% movement speed on them is nasty. You can just walk up to cannons and beat the crap out of them. Of course you've gotta use architects for TCs, but you don't need to send the TC wagons then because architects can build them.
They called GG way way too soon, they were still ahead. It's not like other revolts where if your all in fails you lose, it's the reverse. It's not you on the clock, it's your opponent. They have to win before you get too much value from your Town Centers, Imperial age economy and Jaguncos. I mean with 14 vills and 8 TCs producing vills AND revolutionaries they were ahead economically. I mean sure if they go Imperial you'll likely lose but it won't be easy.

The only issue with your theoretical Brazil TC boom is that is a lot of XP (2 of the infinite +2 TCs, the normal +2 TCs, and the Vill card, all immediately after shipping 2 factories), and Ports don't have (as far as I'm aware) a big XP swing besides Mercantilism. Contrast that with France and having both Mercantilism and Bourbon Reforms making them such an insane revolt civ.
Maybe on maps where you can safely secure a 3 TP line you could sustain the requisite XP curve but it's pretty RNG dependent.
Found it weird that Brazil just up and resigned, he sent a FREE army out to destroy nearly all of the enemy artillery, he could've waited and regain all of the Voluntarios, again, for FREE...
Guess the guy didn't want to play a longer game :P

I always have fun about the brazil revolt, however i think the best brazil revolt is with dutch as you have bank AND feitorias, it is as you can make a very bizarre convos
btw, the maximun tcs i belive is 11 with imperial portugal, not sure if you can reach 11 with portugal-brazil
It could have infinitive Tcs at some time, was fun to use back when feitoria gave exp trickle aswell.
But dev nerfing any fun revolts that are somewhat viable for late game

Advanced arsenal could be a core card for this build to make those voluntarios less shitty.
This revolt is not strong to begin with, doing it against Haudenosaunee with their light canons is probably the worse matchup possible
All revolts can be deadly if done right. In this game the 2 factories would have been great to get more heavies. Always get your factories before revolting.
It is pretty good late game. Though it does suck if you try and rush the revolt as soon as possible.
@@jefersonhermidalageeliasde1264 heavy cannons + voluntarios are hard countered by light cannons. Doesn't matter if you get 8+ heavy cannons, they are going to get sniped

I agree with you Lion, Brazil should be a playable civ. There was this big war in South America that the kill count was greater then the USA conflicts. It is called the war of the triple Alliance. It would be a nice scenario for the game. More potential then european Wars.

It’s a bug. It doesn’t. Brazil has a few bugs. The team mine card is also buggy and gives each team member a random mine instead of prospector like it says. The Infrastructure card does not deliver fast like it says but everything following it does come fast.
