I remember playing in that park and walking around with dad missing those days, thx German , going along fielding for Halloween 🎃😀I still have some friends who are living there ... many stories to tell... I don't want bore 😴 you or your fans
NDG is low income in some parts but high income in others. Interestingly, the higher-income areas tend to be more to the west of Cavendish like Prince of Wales, King Edward, Connaught, etc. or to the northeast closer to Hampstead.
Hi German ! Any chance you could do a walk around St Helen's Island or part of it ? It's unrecognisable to me these days as I lived in Montreal way back in 1968/69/70 during the latter end of the World Fair called Expo 67 or Man and his World. I can't see any trace of the place anymore on the island, apart from the the Geo Dome. There was a great Irish pub called Le Shillelagh close to the metro station. But it's gone of course. Now the place seems to be just a park ! That's life, I guess !
@@GermanKorb Yes, I remember Habitat well. I think the monorail from Expo ran quite close to it. The exhibition was such a success that they carried it for several years later. Those were the days ! I enjoy your videos a lot and they bring back only good memories to me, although it's been a long time since I last was in La Belle Province Dr Quebec !
@@GermanKorb Yes, it attracted people from all over the world and was a great success. Maybe they should have another one soon again ? Of course it cost a lot of money, and there's always a risk, but it was a huge financial success as well as a cultural success having exhibits and pavillions from around the world. I believe they used the material from the excavation of the first metro line to enlarge some of the islands, so that was a good move !
Hi German.....your heading "low income"...I think that maybe that applies to Walkley St but I'm not sure if that applies to Cote St Luc Rd and St Ignatius.
@@GermanKorb It did bother me a lot when they said it. But I'm now a software developer in Vancouver and I own two houses and a condo, so I did ok. LOL
@@neiljohnson7914 That's awesome! You're doing more than OK, having all that in Vancouver. People have higher desire to be successful in life if they weren't spoiled raising up. Good job!

NDG (a real estate agent, from this area would call it No-Damn-G**d), daughter got ahold of dollies for moving, she's working a farm 🚜 in Easter Townships...lucky!
@@GermanKorb sure. that s cool. i just think the title could be less offensive. if you aren t offended by it, then maybe your sensitivity to the phrase is different than how i see things. Montreal is the best place in Earth
Nice walk , looks like the area is well maintained....thank you German Korb
Another amazing upload my friend!
So close to Westmount yet such a stark contrast in income.

I have been planning on filming at St Helen's when I visit Habitant 67. Both locations are close by.

@@pmartin7397 I watched old videos from Expo. It was probably the best event that happened in Montreal.

It's a bit rough but still worth the exploration. I like Cote St Luc road heading west.
Les canadiens sont pacigisues
J ai mal écrit je répète les canadiens sont pacifiques
well that is just rude…
The purpose of this video is to show the area and not to discriminate against low-income families.
