This is a great history lesson! One of my ancestors was in Le Grand Recrue of 1653 (Louis Guertin). I've always been fascinated with the birth of New France. Great vid!

Informative video, I like all the pictures and drawings. My great grandfather going back going back 400+ yrs was Louis Herbert, an apothecary that came during one of the very early Champlain expositions and stayed. There was also a surgeon, a lawyer and an accountant, if I remember their professions correctly.

Your Trek vids are good but this was a fascinating new entry! As a Brit in the UK my knowledge of Canada is somewhat limited

The background music makes it hard to hear what is said!

Poor pronunciation of French. Jeanne MANSE, not Jeanne Marce. Sheer carelessness.

Having lived in Montreal, I know nothing annoys a French speaker more than mispronunciation.
