Rick, I appreciate your answering a question about a comment you made. You've stated the Covert is larger than the Covert Tour. Every site I've checked, including Nikes website state otherwise. The COVERT TOUR has larger heads than the normal COVERT. PLEASE!!! Double check that and let me know? If anyone else is reading this and knows the answer, I'd appreciate your input. Thanks much. Rick- I bought the VRS COVERT DRIVER & the VRS COVERT TOUR HYBRID. You say the Tour is a slightly smaller head? The specs say otherwise: VRS COVERT 3-Wood fairway is 181 cc. The VRS COVERT TOUR in 3-wood is 194cc. How is that smaller? I'm looking to add the the VRS COCERT fairway 3-wood to my bag, but would appreciate your confirming the exact specs on both these 3-woods as far as club head cc size? Your videos are the reason I went with the NIKE VRS COVERT line vs COVERT 2.0, plus I got some incredible sale prices. I like the wwwhhsssooo sound that comes through after you hit the ball is that because of the cavity back in theses woods or because i've drank too much K cider, great reviews mate keep them coming and bring on the hybrids.
Kabab Chips I'm 5 years late, but I believe the sound comes from the enclosed space from which he is hitting. I hear that sound a lot during winter practice sessions hitting out of 3-sided, separated stalls. (Though his sound is much more consistent and my "SWISSSSSSH" is more like a "swissssh" followed by a "For F#cks Sake! Why do I even try to play this f#cking game!?!?!?" After about 35-40 more shots, that generally progresses to a Sad Whimper or Sigh that only a man whose Spirit has been completely Broken, after years of hellish torture and despair, can make.) Man I Love this game Soooo Much!!! :)
hey rick, im looking to buy a nike hybrid (the reason is because they fit my style of play) however, i can't decide whether to get the tour version or the performance version, im a medium to high handicap, so any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!
Get the regular version because the tour has a smaller sweet spot giving it a better workability so unless you can hit your hybrids pretty center get the regular one. Also if there is a Dicks Sporting Goods around you i recommend going there and hitting them to actually see what fits you
Rick, I say this with all due respect, but your wrong in saying the COVERT TOUR has a slightly smaller head. In fact, the COVERT TOUR FAIRWAY IS BIGGER than than the Normal COVERT FAIRWAY. It may indeed be a bit harder to hit, but you have the ability to adjust it accordingly. I've enjoyed many of videos, but you never answer back to questions that are weeks and months old. Social media means sharing a bit IMO, but that doesn't appear to be your mission statement. Would have been nice to hear back from occasionally, but I ended up with VRS COVERT DRIVER, VRS COVERT TOUR HYBRID, & VRS COVERT FAIRWAY 5-Wood. I have the normal 3/20 hybrid - it has become my favourite club in the bag it is equal first with my toe sweep lob wedge :-)
