This video features cutscenes in Rayman 2 for the PS2 played on the PS3 with the PS2 Classic version from the PS Store! (only available in North America apparently. Sucks I know.) All the cutscenes are there including a few other small scenes but otherwise I hope you all enjoy it and I'll also be putting up a video showing all the cutscenes in the PlayStation 1 version so stay tuned!
If you want to see the PC version of the cutscenes which would likely be the same as the N64 version but in HD then let me know in the comments! :)

That would be great, as I'd like to see a comparison of the original cutscenes compared to the PS2 ones with the Raymanian voices.

I remember first playing rayman 2 (3ds) back in 2011 and seeing that for the first time made me laugh
Here’s a fun fact for y’all! Captain Razorbeard and André have the same voice actor: Ken Starkevic!
That's interesting! Also, Eric Bauza voiced Count Razoff in Rayman 3, but he also voiced Puss in Boots in 2018's The Adventures of Puss in Boots series on Netflix!
I know Ken voiced Razorbeard in Rayman M/Arena and the PS1 version of Rayman 2 but i'm not sure about the voice he has in Revolution. Is that Ken voicing him this version too? The robotic filter makes it sound like a different voice and hard to make out. While he had a robot filter to his voice in Rayman M/Arena too but it was easy to hear and tell it was Ken doing the same voice only with a robot filter over it.
Wow. I only ever played Rayman 2 on N64 so I was blown away when I learned it had English voice acting for this one and had to find it. Thanks for uploading

I feel like voice acting is really good (unlike the PS1 version) but the audio quality is really awful. That's why I still prefer the Raymanian. It's more cute and ties with the game's universe perfectly.
If these games were remade today with voice acting, it would be much better quality for sure. I do have a Raymanian version video of Rayman 2 cutscenes if you haven't seen it already.
I do think Rayman Revolution is better than Rayman 2, More connected levels, better dialog and animation, all the while staying 99% true to the original!
I loved Revolution growing up, it's awesome! Though if you haven't played the Dreamcast version yet, I highly recommend it. Yes it's The Great Escape and not Revolution but when I played it for the first time, (my let's play on the channel is my first experience with the version), it felt like I played the game for the first time with all the new things that I saw throughout the game that the other versions of TGE didn't have, including Globox's House which apparently is exclusive to the DC version.

I hear the game plays better on DreamCast, but the extra features in Revolution were part of what made the game so memorable even if they were gimmicky.

@@RaymanSanctuary yeah, but that one has low quality graphics, and is missing half of the game, despite having the extra 2D prototype...
Yeah. It was a little different experience on the PS1 but it was still good for what it was and it did have that prototype so it had that to help.

Thanks! I have 3 versions left, being the PC, Dreamcast and Game Boy Color. I have the PC version so I could do that next but with the Dreamcast and GBC versions, I don't have a Dreamcast system at this time and there's no GBC version available anywhere near me other than on Ebay but that price is WAY out of my league. So I may have to end up just using the Emulator for the Dreamcast and Game Boy Color versions to get the cutscenes.

I question that too perhaps after the heart of the world got destroyed he passed out from his powers being taken away?
It tells the story in the instructional manual of the game! 😁 (In the 64 version at least).
Rayman and Globox are facing a band of pirates that recently invaded their world. Even Globox (reluctantly) joins in the fighting by using his rain dance to rust the bots.
After cheering on his friend, Rayman abruptly has a vision of Ly, who warns him that the pirates have just destroyed the world’s core.
Taking advantage of his distraction, the pirates grab him and restrain him. When he attempts to use his power to defend himself, he realizes with horror that his abilities are gone.
He shouts to Globox to get out of there and find Ly, immediately. Terrified to leave his friend, but knowing the grim reality of the situation, Globox flees.
With Rayman powerless and restrained, Razorbeard takes the opportunity to mock him to his face. But Rayman fixes him with a dark stare and tells him that he will escape and make him wish he was never born.
Pretty awesome stuff.
The things that I hated about the PS2 version were the load times and the awful sound mixing (it’s Sonic Adventure 2 levels of bad), which was one reason why I played with the music volume lowered immensely. But other than that, I enjoyed it decently enough.

I mean, you can just look up all voice clips for the characters, but other than that, the audio quality is actual garbage and the delivery sounds soulless compared to the PS1 version.
They should've kept this voice for Globox in Rayman 3.... his voice in R3 just doesn't fit the big squishy slow bff archetype

At the main menu, go to "Options", then go to "Language", "Text", and hit "English".
I like Rayman Revolution and it's better than the 64 version it's more Open World Free Exploring and I like Open World Free Exploring and we need remastered version of Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc Rayman 3 is the best version and Teenage Rayman is my favorite version of him.
I adore the updated graphics but I can’t get over the fact they changed Ly’s voice actress. I grew up with the original so hearing her sound different is very jarring
By original do you mean the PS1? Yeah they were made differently and some other voice actors came in for Revolution. Doesn't bother me but I can see how having a different voice can make the character feel off.
