Great review! One of the best I’ve seen on this board. I’ve had my first generation EoVan for over a year. I have over 700 miles on it. No problems in all that time. I agree with the remotes acceleration curve, that could be much better. Love this board so much fun.
-20 TO 0 On the throttle fixes the jerkiness completely. This is easy to do in the remote settings. Still has heaps of power just less kick off the line. Great review!! Also a footstop up front has saved me in grass/bumpy terrain several times.
⚡ *Man, those closeup/slowmos* ⚡ I do wish there were even more slow-mos on the trucks and bushings though cos I'm a truck geek 😂🤣 I would put Verreal Mad 105s on it, large wheels but lighter than other wheels that size, urethane not rubber so better range, make the most of the hefty battery! I always wait for the skate parts/trucks segment with anticipation on review videos 😂 Interestin choices on bushings in rear, cone boardside with barrel roadside, rather than cone for both like the front, carve but with overall stability 👌🏼 They used red metal boardside blocks with half barrel or full bushing?? That "Batman" remote is pretty unique 👌🏼 Awesome edit 🤙🏼🤙🏼
good review, but can't agree with the comments regarding the throttle. it is VERY easy to change via the remote as per the design of the remote. but I do agree that they should be shipped from factory set at +0.00 for all modes. this is not a beginner board. agree with comment regarding bushings.
From the eska8 group this is the best price board that I ride so far. The main problem with this board is the remote, the🔋battery drains to fast at a rate of 1% per minute. All the owners of Eovan have this problem.
Great review for a GREAT board. She deserves these beautiful pictures ;-) I did a 80km ride with TB110 on a single charge so yes, its main strength is the range.
Great review man. Super dodgy throttle though. I dunno how I would feel about that if I was a customer and nearly being thrown off everytime I go to ride it man…
Great review as Always 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼! I just made my mind …I want to try a belt driven board with different wheels options and carbon deck …specially when it looks mean as this one … I currently have a Halo Board Beast…a direct drive board ….there is not many out there …will you review something like that ??
Hi so I'm looking at getting a eovan gts super or the meepo hurricane but it is going to be my first electric skateboard wich one would you recommend that I get love the content you put out thanks for sharing
Thx for this video. I watched your unboxing a few weeks ago. I'm a 100 kg 46 years old new begginer in eskatting and I bought this board and received it 1 month ago (after waiting 1 month for delivery). I got it with 125 mm RS and the 7" AT. I only used the 125 RS since I got it.I ride 200 km, and I must say that I love this board. I did set the remote to -20 to be able to manage its power with accuracy(I think I'm going to level it up soon), and I did change the original bushings by Riptide ones. Next step, I will change the grip tape by a Dope grip. I was a little disappointed when I received the board, because, I had no motor guards, nor handle nor pump inside the box. Only an additional grip tape. So I bought motor guards and had an issue during the ordering. I had to contact the support and to insist a few days, but they fixed the issue for my total satisfaction. Overall, the board is awesome and I ride it as soon as I can. Cheers !
I forgot to say that I am totaly blown by the range too. Last week, I did a 40 km trip with slopes and various ground, and I finished with 37% battery left !!!
@@fulcrandecassagne3272 hey buddy. Thanks for watching! You’ve ridden 200km already? That’s insane. Far as I knew the accessories came with the board so it’s a shame they actually don’t (or maybe they changed the policy?). Anyway 40km with 37% left IS impressive! Glad you’re enjoying it. Ride safely out there ☺️
I received mine yesterday. Rode it for 20k today. I adjusted the throttle and brake in the settings. -20 on brake and throttle on all the modes. That took care of the sensitive throttle for me. I don’t like the quality of the remote. Feels to “plasticy”. Once you ride you forget about it though. The board is noticeable weaker under ~50% charge. But thats normal I guess. Its my first board so I have nothing to compare with. It did not come with a pump, extra tubes or motor guard. “Bought separately” according to Eovan. As I said, I have no reference to other boards, but the overall detail quality is not great. But once I ride the board I love it.
Awesome. Yeah range is amazing right. With the sag that’s normal not to worry. All boards do that as the battery depletes. Thanks for watching and enjoy your first board!
You went very high quality for a first board. I just today purchased my Eovan board, my first electric skateboard was the Backfire Zealot S, clocked 967 miles so far on the Zealot S
@@ASeSkater I bought the Backfire Zealot S as my first electric skateboard and I haven't ridden anybody else's boards so my Zealot S will be the only basis of comparison I will have for when the GTS carbon super gets here
awesome to see more reviews on this board, and I agree on almost everything you said. except, Customer service, which I'll put my thoughts on here for those interested. Customer Service, in my experience + a few friends and strangers online: is absolutely horrible. which is really sad for me to say considering I love their board. my remote was broken almost immediately (showing just black screen but working fine for the rest, my guess is faulty/loose wire). my battery also had an issue (range was lacking) and my charger blinks red and green. I contacted Eovan about all of these issues over the span of 4 months. I have sent them roughly 40 messages on Instagram, their E-mail, and their website combined. I have tried everything, and have gotten 1 single response. this being "please send us a video of your problem". I sent them a video (of my remote) and they never got back to me. 2 days later I politely asked if they had any update on my remote yet, and they again did not get back to me. I have just bought a new remote instead, because they have ghosted me for 4 months now. they appear to be trying to stall for long enough that my warranty is no longer in effect. I have recieved better customer support from Meepo. the weird part though? when I purchased my board and it was stuck in shipping, Eovan kindly sent me updates whenever I asked them. they always responded in 24 hours, with informative and detailed replies. they were happy to help on any question I asked them. when I had still not received my Eovan, their customer support was 10/10. but after I had recieved the product, they ghosted completely. it appears as though they waited for me to get the board, and then stopped support. because once I received the board, I could no longer do a chargeback on my bank account. I hope this is not what they were actually doing, because that is a scummy and terrible business practice. but this has been the exact same thing they have done to everyone I know (except reviewers) who have bought an Eovan. the shipping is also horrible. it took 4 months for my board to arrive (not an issue to me as they were experiencing delays and let me know before I ordered.) but it also took me 3 weeks to get pulleys and belts from them, and my remote is still "processing" for a few days now. overall, 9/10 product, 3/10 company. I will not buy their boards again and would reccomend anyone purchasing an Eovan to be cautious. you will get the board, and you will love it. but you will not get proper support. so be aware. if it fails, you are on your own. do not trust Eovan to help you.
oh P.S forgot to add but about the bushings, they arent all that bad for lighter riders thankfully. I am about 55 KG's and have reached 35 mph with ease on a completely out of the box setup. today I will be getting my new pulleys, so I will see how these bushings perform at 45 mph :) which may or may not be a horrible idea but im suited for the occasion
