About the Bunny Song, you forgot to mention that there are actually THREE versions of the song. The original was so catchy, they had to make a CENSORED VERSION of the sinful song, because they didn't want kids to sing lyrics like "I don't love my mom or my dad, just the bunny" (For those who don't know, the censored lyrics were "I don't love my soup or my bread, just the bunny")

Also what I liked about twas the night before Easter was that it was the only one mainly about Petunia, even if it was the same storyline to star of Christmas, I figured that there were a lot of differences too including a lot of familiar characters being part of the stage theater part of the episode and for the league of incredible vegetables, I liked that they (for once anyways) had Bob to be a superhero since he was wanting to be at the end of bad apple (along with three other characters as well), and also having a silly song too. Also of all the girl veggie kid characters other than liking Laura carrot (in her design where she’s shown cylinder shape and no freckles (except for her 90s design) and also liking princess and the popstar because of it being the only one story episode mainly about her), I also kind of liked Annie along with Sara, Ermie, and Papaya together as well. Petunia, Madame blueberry and Esther (in her only appearance) were still great too but I liked seeing some girl kid veggies being together as well which is what I like about the penniless princess episode. Also my favourite show along with Max & Ruby (seasons 1 to 5), the Backyardigans, my little pony friendship is magic, the Big Bang theory and the penguins of Madagascar.
Ermie was my favorite part of Penniless Princess because she was so unfiltered in the best way possible. And Rack, Shack, and Benny kind of makes me think of a rather dark version of Willy Wonka
I always love to see people giving VeggieTales the praise it deserves, because even though I am not a Christian (I wasn't even raised Christian! No idea why my family had me watching this show) I was so obsessed with VeggieTales as a kid that I still think it influences my sense of humor to this day. The silly-songs and elaborate parodies were some of my first experiences with comedy that could appeal to all ages and helped me learn how to make the "grown ups" laugh, and even as I got older and my favorite television show became The Simpsons (there was no in-between kids cartoon, I went straight from being obsessed with VeggieTales to The Simpsons when I hit 6 or 7 years old) I still have such a fondness for this show. As an adult I've chosen to turn my love of comedy into a career and I honestly identify my VeggieTales obsession as the first thing that set me on that path. It may not have imparted its Christian values onto my toddler brain, but it sure as hell led me to the religion of comedy.
Dude, I kinda hate the fact that Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed was intended to be the very last VeggieTales episode before Jonah and didn't even feature Bob at all. Good thing it was the last, though. That would have been disappointing.
Surprised to see Esther so low on the list. Maybe it's just cause I'm coming from the religious perspective, and the story of Esther became pretty well known in Christian and especially Jewish communities following the, uhm, "Haman 2" incident in the 1940s. Esther was an episode where they tried to go very Biblical on a story that meant a lot to people, and there was a lot of stuff in it I liked. Mr. Lunt as the villain and Mr. Nezzar being the easily influenced guy with a lot of power made for a lot of both intense and funny moments throughout the episode. Xerxes rewarding Mordecai with Haman's idea is an example of irony and poetic justice in the Bible, so seeing it played straight with Mr. Nezzar and Mr. Lunt's characters was really funny to me. Although Esther was played by 'who that' basically, this was before Petunia was a character, and Veggietales didn't have a lot of Female characters at that time, so I tend to forgive it for that reason. They tried to go with a more mature take with the episode, and as a Christian guy who takes comfort in the story of Esther (especially with its subtlety about God's involvement in the story) I really liked this portrayal. Your opinion's fine, I was just surprised by it.

I was absolutely obsessed with VeggieTales as a kid. I really wish there was a way to add photos to UA-cam comments because my absolute favorite picture from my childhood is from Halloween when I was 4 years old. My mom always shows off that picture as the earliest inclination of the person I've become today. Edit: Commented this before getting to the part about VeggieTales feeling the need to add a "girl" with Petunia-it's very funny to me because as a little kid I honestly never thought of the vegetables being boys or girls, they're just veggies. If VeggieTales really wanted to find a way to appeal to little girls they should have hired the 4-year-old "crossdressing" as Larry the Cucumber in a sea of Disney princesses and loving it

53:14 Also Goldilocks
1:21:10 duuude, it's even in the color of her outfit, especially her hat...
Some of my favorite episodes are ranked the lowest in your ranking 😭🙏 (My favorite is Celery Night Fever)
Dude the reads on all the characters' sexualities were so on point lmfao
I feel like Scooter is the type of ally who like, _tries_ to be supportive but he has absolutely no idea what's going on he definitely says a few offensive things on accident cause he genuinely does not realize they're offensive.

Hey now
You're an all-star
You mean Goldilocks And The Three Bears
Jesus What Happenned To Veggie Tales ?
Jesus is, in fact, what happened to VeggieTales
So, you got mad about Jimmy and Jerry's voices getting switched in Sheerluck Holmes, yet you referred to Jimmy as Jerry at least twice in this video...
(OK, shh, don't tell anyone, I know I got their names mixed up in that particular part of the video, but where else did I call Jimmy Jerry)
@@Matt_Presents Dr. Jiggle for one
I grew up on Veggietales and still collect VHS tapes of Veggietales!!!! For me I HATE the episode Are You My Neighbor?.. like the whole episode I can't stand.. I also am not fond of most episodes past 2008
Considering the Fib acts a lot like a groomer I don't think he's asexual.
Larry being tired after the last show in Josh and the Big Wall is a reference to the animators taking time off after Fib from Outer Space proved difficult to complete.
Watch Rack Shack and Benny Re-Animated if you haven't already.
I wonder what you’d say about the Netflix series.
I have not enjoyed what little I've seen of it, but I couldn't fairly judge it without seeing at least an episode.
Trust me, you ain’t missing a thing.
I’d recommend giving that and The VeggieTales Show a shot
11 views? from the dingo pictures guy?
This video has been up like 5 minutes.
i always thought Esther was the prettiest cast member
6:48 Why did he? Whats up with Billy Graham?
Super homophobic. Also, kinda sexist and antisemitic. Very involved with the Nixon administration.
@Matt_Presents hows he antisemitic and homophobic?
@PilgrimsTrod He was pretty openly homophobic. In fairness, everyone was like that in the 70s, but even as recently as 2012 he was fighting against same-sex marriage.
He also said Jews control the media, but he kinda walked that one back after people got mad.
Does juinor asparagus’s dad have an actual name?
Not that I'm aware of
I dunno. Mike?
He's called Mike in the sequel show (In The House) but isn't given an official name in the actual show
I'm surprised he ranked sweetpea beauty over a easter carol like a easter carol is just ok but sweetpea beauty really sucks in my opinion.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that thing was the night before Easter is the worst episode God I hate hat episode
The REAL name for “King George and the (rubber) ducky” is just “King George and the ducky”! And the REAL name for “little Joe” is just “(the ballad of) little Joe”! Can you even read?
I'VE BEEN WATCHING LILO & STITCH: THE SERIES!!! GANTU DOES **NOT** DESERVE THE PAIN & HUMILIATION THAT HAPPENS TO HIM IN EVERY EPISODE 😭😭😭 HE IS A SWEET CINNAMON ROLL WHO'S JUST TRYING TO GET BACK ON HIS FEET AFTER LOSING HIS JOB IN THE FIRST MOVIE & GOT MIXED UP WITH THE WRONG PERSON 😭😭😭 ((hamsterveel))!
I can tell he doesn't like veggietales because the way this guy says it like he doesn't like Christianity. If you don't like it don't watch it. This show is one of the best Christian children shows in the world. Some people need to leave this show alone!
It's completely fair to disagree with my perspective on the show, but I do genuinely enjoy VeggieTales. It's funny, the music is great, and I think there's times it teaches good morals quite effectively. I don't have to be a Christian to understand that.
@@Matt_Presents I didn't say you have to be Christian and you literally had some complaints about it.
There are even Atheists that enjoy VeggieTales. I know one.
@@emmayoung736 really?
@@aaronjackson2126 Yeah it's almost like people watch shows because they're good and not because they're Christian
