That's the thing, you can't take a break. Not in your head. UA-cam feels like a treadmill. You have to keep up your speed so you don't fall off and lose progress. You want to stop but you can't, not unless you want the algorithm to punish you
Mental illness is something that needs more recognition, this video will help more than you could ever realise. 1 person might watch this and instantly relate which may help on their road to recovery. Kudos for making this video :)
I had a blood clot in my leg in 2015, it broke into 3 different sizes, lodged in both lungs. DVT to Bi-lateral Pulmonary Embolism. Was in the ICU for 2 weeks. The ensuing anxiety caused me to think I was having the same symptoms in the future, lost my job because of it. I ended up losing my fiance and many other things to the issues I had with Anxiety since that one shitty night. No clue how I got it, tested negative for clotting disorders. Anxiety has taken its toll and alot of the issues he talked about in this video are exactly how I feel most of the time. Mental health is hard to get treated here in the states and it ruins alot of people in the process.
Respect Jack. Massive respect. Coming out to talk about problems and issues especially for us men is the most least talked about issue in our society today. Mens health is a massive problem that needs to be talked about more often and you as an influencer and content creator (who is viewed and watched by so many) coming out and talking about your own problems so openly is amazing and will also give others the confidence to come out and talk about it too. Huge respect mate. Well done.
I usually don't comment on UA-cam videos, but this time around I felt the need to do so. I don't even know if you'll read this Jack, but I'll give it a shot. I really do enjoy watching your videos. Your content seems well structured and your choice of topics is, for the most part, spot-on. The thing is, people seem to forget that behind every content creator, there's actually a real person. I don't think that we, the community, are fully aware about the "influence" we can have on someone else's life. Nonetheless, I think you did the right thing addressing the issues you've experienced/are still experiencing. Talking about these things and reassuring yourself, like I'm sure you're already doing, is an essential part to be able to "move on." "Hang in there, Jack! It will get better!" :)
Well, I was going to leave essentially the same comment. Well put, sir. @jackfrags, I've enjoyed your work for years now, and really appreciate everything that you put into it. However, I'm glad to hear that you're putting your health and sanity over your work, and I really appreciate your message in this video: leveraging your social support and practicing good self-care is integral.
Well written! Jack, i love u. I doesn’t love your skills at battlefield. That’s not important for me. I love your constructive way of criticism and talking. Therefore I loved this video too. I admire you for taking care of yourself and going through the steps that u did. Self-Reflexion and care taking of your own mental health is really really important and can easily make someone physically sick too. Thank you a lot for your video and thank you Alex for your well written comment!
This was really well written and powerful. Not what I expected from the channel, but very interesting and compelling. As a fellow creator, though much smaller, I can definitely relate to the obsession with social media plus the related pressures and statistics. I really struggle with "motivation" day to day. The ability to get started. I sit there and stress about what my next move should and can be. I think I'm doing alright, but I have a lot of work to do. On the channel and myself. This is a nice reminder to self monitor and self care. This is my favorite Battlefield and gameplay channel. Thanks for sharing, Jack.
Best video you've ever made Jack. We love your stuff. But this one is reality. And opening up like this, giving it a voice and hopefully inspiring other people to take better care of themselves is so important. Thx.
Well said fella. Mens health is a massive issue not talked about today and Jack coming out to talk about this will help other to have the same confidence. Respect.
Fun fact, this video, uploaded 2 years ago, is the reason I finally got help and figured out I have major depression, anxiety, and adhd that's been untreated for years. And I finally don't feel like I'm dying everyday now. Thanks bro!
If someone watching doesn't quite understand why jack made this video, well, it was more for him than for you. Its hard to explain, but when publicly affirming your situation your brain is more grounded. Its one of those 'have to experience to understand' kinds of things.
@@TheGoodFellaszIt's not really a matter of 'being in your head'. Anxiety and panic attacks manifest as much as a physical illness as a mental one. But talking about it can really give you a more solid sense of safety, which allows you to relax and regain control. Talking with my teachers in school and my fellow classmates about it helped me realize that there are safe 'ways out'. It's one of the things that helped me with my agoraphobia, something that I've been struggling with for close to 8 years now and really ruined my college and social life. I'm much better now and I'm taking professional education in computer science and programming to try and take my life back.
Jack, first of all, good on you for being so open about this. Second of all, every single symptom you've described I've been through, including other ones I won't name (for all those hypochondriacs out there). I was literally smiling while you were naming these symptoms (not because of amusement), because of how spot-on you described them, as if I was. My worst is the fake dizziness/vertigo feeling, and my heart skipping beats. I won't try to diagnose what you have, but what I have is GAD, generalized anxiety disorder, which manifests all these symptoms you described. You go to the doctor, do a stress test, blood test, EKG, whatever, the results come back negative, you end up feeling good for a day or two, then you feel a new symptom and say to yourself "hmmm, but what if this time it's not just stress?". I can go on and on about this for hours, but what you should know is that, you're not alone, whatever thoughts you have during your episodes are completely normal and just a side effect of Anxiety, and most importantly, it's highly treatable. The more you focus on your symptoms, the worse they will get, regardless of how distressful it may be. I've been going through this a long time now, it will get easier the more you acknowledge and accept it. It's a vicious circle...the symptoms create fear, fear creates worry, worry creates more stress and that creates more symptoms. Anxiety is a symptom of an underlying fear, and that's the key to overcoming it. Feel free to message me if you wish, I'd be more than happy to share my experience and help you out whichever way I can. :)
Ive been dealing with a lot of Anxiety, and was diagnosed at the beginning of this year, and ive dealt with Derealisation/Depersonalisation on and off throughout my primary school and many years beyond that. i know exactly what you mean with ''the symptoms are real, im not making them up'', and i know how hard it is to stop self-diagnosing and start believing that its all in your head. I'm getting better, but i really needed this video, so thank you. Lots of love, and a merry christmas to you and yours Jack!
Lou Rendier this philosopher named Alan Watts really opened my eyes maybe he could help you too. I just hope you actually give it a try and not just shrug him off as some self help guru.
Jack all of what you saying comes from too much work and stress! You have too pay attention to mind and body. Learn yourself now when too take a break! Once you do everything will been fine!
I’ve been feeling the Derealisation/Depersonalization feeling for almost a year now. It’s been coming on and off and I can’t seem to figure out the pattern of what causes the feeling. Do you have any tips of how to make the feeling go away?
@@Chickennugget7871 Thats rough man. To me, as a kid it used to be linked directly to fear/anxiety. So in any REALLY stressful situation my brain would just pull the emergency chute, and i would sort of dwindle off in Derealisation. the years after, though, i had less frequent attacks and they started coming at random, so no more direct trigger. The biggest tip i can give you, is trying to stay grounded when you feel an attack coming. So start looking for 3 blue things in your surroundings for instance, or start naming things you see. take deep breaths and try your best to stay in control. All the best to you Nick!
been going through this for the last 6 months, similar stuff, dizziness, blurred vision, feeling unsteady on my feet. I realise it’s anxiety but it’s still hard to always believe that and not start to worry about physical health. Thanks for this video. It offers reassurance and positive confirmation that I can get through it all. Thanks for putting this up, just wished I’d seen it sooner. Therapy has really helped me but just hearing someone else talking about pretty much what’s been happening to me is really comforting.
Hi jack, I've been watching your videos since 2012. I truly believe you have helped me over the years. I've suffered with depression and anxiety in the past. At my lowest I felt like I was having a heart attack, this lasted for months. It turned out to be anxiety. I still have my battles but I'm in a much better place. Thanks very much for opening up about this. What ever happens at work happens. Life goes on. What's important is your life and the ones you love. Have a great Christmas Jacky boy.
this comment needs to be pinned. Jack ive been watching since about a month before the bfv came out. I love ur voice and sympathize with ur anxiety. Take a break just let us know man. Its okay brother really. I agree with the above statement 10000%
Kar Lead It’s true. Nature is what humans were designed to interact with. Nature is the only place that is actually “real”. It’s humans natural home despite the world we have created for ourselves.
If anything UA-cam in jacks case or hobbies are used to help anxiety and to keep the mind busy, my wife reads and goes to the gym. Anxiety is fucking trippy though, different for eveyrone.
I have the exact same problem. It’s pure anxiety and it is constant torture. You go to millions of doctors appointment and you are always told the same thing, “you are fine”. It is your brain fooling your body into thinking something terrible is happening and you react (some people have panic attacks). My advise is to get some therapy or talk to your friends and family when you begin feeling this way. I take cymbalta and call my friends and family when I begin to feel strange. This will help reduce your shortness of breath. This is caused by your overthinking of the symptoms. So, Jack, just try your best to convince yourself that people are out there, such as myself, that have these problems and you are not alone. Give my advice a shot and I can promise you WILL find the relief you need. Thoughts and prayers go out to you.
nic jones only if the doctor allows it they don’t hand out controlled drugs out like they used to I would know I’m on 1mg Xanax and they drug test me before every refill also they have a high abuse rate.
Jack I’m watching this 2 years later and everything you said you described exactly what I’ve been feeling/going through. Right down to the your age at the time (I’m 32 now). Can’t thank you enough for putting yourself out there this helped me a lot.
You have described my entire life since the age of 6. My symptoms were/are exactly as you described, along with a developed agoraphobia. I’m now 47 and in a somewhat better place than I was. I’ve always been the life and soul of the party and used this as a mask for the crippling anxiety. Until the last 10 years there hasn’t been any REAL help for mental health issues such as anxiety & stress so I kind of suffered in silence for many years. I did get some counselling which found the root cause of the problem was from being physically abused as a child by a teacher in primary school over a long period(not sexually) which I had kept to myself. The teacher is now banned from teaching as it was discovered they had been doing this to other children too. I’ve found gaming has always distracted me from my everyday mental/physical issues I’ve suffered, a kind of escapism, which is still a crutch today. I’m so glad you’ve shared this experience as there are so many more guys just like us who dare not express what’s going on inside their heads. Thank you again, good health is the greatest gift we can ever receive.
I'm 48 Jack and I've experienced many similar symptoms over the years. Same results from the doctors saying I am physically fine. It was subconscious stress and mild depression. I am considered by most to be a laid back person but that's only on the surface, underneath I have lot's of worries. The problem I had was I was so convinced I was a chill person that I didn't address my stress. I'm not suggesting it's the same thing you're dealing with but getting regular exercise and staring at screens less often balanced my mind again and I've been good for over 5 years. Don't be ashamed to look into therapy as well. You are a very real part of a new frontier of people making a living in a brand new field that isn't guaranteed to work forever. That alone could plant seeds of doubt in the back of one's head. Keep in mind that you are a talented person with a following of almost 3 million humans but they all have lives and things to deal with as well. Numbers will always rise and fall. I've been in the service industry for 22 years as an independent contractor. Some years are great and others are hell but at the end of the day I still get to live by my rules and that's gold. Hope you find your permanent solution soon.
This video is so unbelievably important to everyone, and so many people can relate!! Mental Health is no joke. I was diagnosed with Clinical Depression in September 2015, and stemed through pushing myself too much at work. I was 2 years into my 4.5yr engineering apprenticeship. I had 7 months off of work, and in March 2016 returned to work. They were the worst 7 months of my life. I still have my days every now and again, as does everyone. You're a role model Jack, and you've helped so many by posting this video!! Wish you all the best, have a lovely Christmas!!
I had an operation to remove a tumor from my brow area, but whilst it was being tested made myself so sick because i was thinking of the worst outcome that its cancerous. Luckily it wasnt, that was only two weeks but really struggled with that. Wouldn't have been able to last aslong as you did :(
Hey Jack, long time fan and I am going through this right now. I remembered you talked about this sort of thing in the past and I finally found this video. Anxiety is cruel mistress indeed and she will manifest all these "symptoms", then googling said symptoms will put you into full panic mode. Thanks Jack for making this video and to anyone going through this, if every test is coming back negative please entertain the notion that it could Anxiety. Stay awesome everyone!
Hey Jack, you getting regular exercise? Maybe that would help, maybe meditation, or yoga. Also make sure you’re getting a good diet. Lots of fruits and veggies. Meats occasionally, but most people don’t need to be told to eat more meat
I'm very sorry Jack that this is happening. I get a short breath every time and I think you just stressed from the content creating and how you worry about all those things for your videos and others. I'm glad you're okay but I know how you feel. I just got diagnosed with damaged nerves in arm eyes and legs due to football and is only a junior in high school. But you live life and you keep going, never stop dreaming and just live. Merry Christmas and I hope you have a happy New Years. Keep going get better rest for the holidays all to you. - Kansas (ZP)
Foosball can be a rough sport =[ but getting hurt doing something you love makes it seem worth while. I'm a former hockey player with a lot of aching bones. Getting hurt on the field of sport=honor.
Yeah anxiety is a strange thing. I went through this phase as well and had panic attacks that would last for hours. Over time it gets better but it takes a while. Yes the way to fix it is eat healthy, take a walk, Stop drinking alchohol and taking drugs as this doesnt help the chemical inbalance . Talk with close friends and family. Stay cheerful folks and STOP Over Thinking everything.
I hope you know this is one of the most important videos of my whole life every time I start worrying im dying i come back and you make me feel better. Thank you.
What a nice Christmas story there, Jack! :) On a serious note, was sure that it's just stress and panic attacks. Had my first panic attack this year (I'm 29), and... Same thoughts, same story with doctors. And since it's kinda taboo to talk about mind tricks issues ("I'm not mad, alright" attitude and stuff), great, that you figured it out for yourself, and was brave enough to switch "it's can't be just me" thing. Apparently, you, me, and the most cool person could be. And just a friendly reminder: don't go alone on a trip of fixing stuff like this. Your family and friends are there for you, just let them help. Good holidays everyone, be safe!
JACK!!!! Thank you so much, you inspired me to get help. Im going to seek help man dealing with stress and anxiety. “Things you want to do stop procrastinating and just do it”
Why are people giving this video a dislike? Don’t sweat the haters Jack, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your fans. Remember we appreciate you and the hard work you put into your videos.
I have the anxiety too. Sweating while shivering. Cold and hot at the same time. The eardrums might be a little too loosse ( i had the same) it moves in and out everytime I breathe. You can let a doctor tighten it up again. Im sorry you feel like this. I hope it passes soon
Self diagnosing yourself is never a good thing. There's a reason why doctors study their field for 6-8 years before getting their degree... But if you are going to do it, Google the illness which you think it might be (like a light influenza or food poisoning) and see if the symptoms of the illness fits you. Don't Google the symptoms that you have because depending on the searching algorithm it might show you something completely different and much worse than what you're going through.
From the moment you started this video i know it was anxiety! I had it too and they felt so real, but what ive learned is that the brain is so smart... now i am on medication its so much better! Take care jack its gonna be allright!
Jack, i love u. I doesn’t love your skills at battlefield. That’s not important for me. I love your constructive way of criticism and talking. Therefore I loved this video too. I admire you for taking care of yourself and going through the steps that u did. self-reflection and care taking of your own mental health is really really important and can easily make someone physically sick too. Thank you a lot for your video and your thoughts and work.
Thank you for sharing this and reaching out for us, we love u jack and everything u do here, take it easy, u have a huge community behind ur back that will support u and is there to help have a merry christmas and please, rest, u deserve it for all the great work u do thank u for everything, love u
I’m so glad you talked about this because I’ve had these problems for about 4 years now, you can’t shake anxiety but you have to learn to live with it and fight against it. I want to thank you aswell as I feel that this has opened a lot of people’s minds to the crazy situations that can occur due to mental health, it’s so overlooked nowadays and having someone as popular as yourself, it may bring a better understanding or viewpoint to a pretty substantial number of people. Thank you and I hope you are doing better now.
this past week I wasn't feeling alright, I didn't know what it was and what to do about it. and now I see this video and I realize what my problem is and how to fix it. thanks, jack for making this video. the timing, the subject, it's exactly what I needed. thanks to this video I see the light again, in these dark times for me when I don't know what to do with my life, this really helped me out. I just wanted to let you know, you really helped someone by making this video.
Jack, dude I have been struggling with pretty much the same stuff ever since I turned 30. I definitely succumb to anxiety much easier than I had before. Thanks for this video dude - also you are so lucky to live in the UK, I spent over $1000 on my panic attacks and the doctors visits and ER trips. Keep calm and carry on, brother.
As someone who's is going through this stuff right now. It is a huge sigh of relief to know that I'm not crazy, not alone. I've watched your vids for a long while and this struck home for me. More people outside of the gaming community deserve to see this Jack. Thank you so much for sharing.
Jack, do you have any hobbies outside of video games that involve getting out and about? Hiking, nature walks, sports of any kind? As someone who struggles with extreme anxiety (and an intolerance to most medications), I strongly suggest it. Being outside and in nature is a huge, huge benefit. I know, I know, UA-cam. I'm the same with my job. You unfortunately have to force yourself out of it. I picked up disc golf, which is a very casual sport, much cheaper than real golf and it affords me hours of relaxation and fun and most importantly, uncoils my mind. And stop Googling your symptoms. Elsewise you'll be convinced you're made of tumors and cancers and blackened blood.
Holy crap Jack, you just described word for word, line for line exactly what has been going on with me for the last two years. I'm glad you were able to figure it out. I'm still working on it, but have a total clean bill of health as far as doctors are concerned. Good luck brother. I actually just had to call my wife over I was so shocked at how completely similar your experience is to mine.
Physical and Mental health are equally important, great video bringing attention to a touchy/under talked about subject that a whole lot of people deal and struggle with daily. Thank You.
This better be the last video I see from you until next year man. Take a break, be with your family and friends, do something else other than UA-cam for like a month or how ever long you want to. I'm a Marine in the US, Jack. I know exactly how you feel dude. The shit that I have to deal with on a daily basis would drive anyone else nuts. Fortunately we get weekends off and I unwind during that time. MY GUY! TAKE A BREAK!
a short break is surely needed.. think alot of us have been there, it is stress for sure. Consider cutting down the amount of gaming a bit and also start to meditate with mindfulness (no joke, try letting an phone app help) .. just take things easy, many games can be very stressful (especially bf5)
I honestly thought the same thing, for some reason I always try to brush those things off, iv had that fluttering and breathlessness you felt, I still get it a lot from time to time, it really does make it hard to do things, im in year 12 of my schooling at the moment and its exam time, so these sensations are coming back to me, i always feel so tired and like I can't focus... this video makes me wonder if im doing the right things for me, im not a very active person and I do just sit in my room a lot, im healthy still, strong and charismatic, but I still don't feel that way if that makes sense... I should change something, like what you mentioned about diet and exercise. jack this video was really something, it really made me realise more than I ever did by the relation of problems we have/had, I really hope you are feeling better nowadays, and I thank you for everything, your videos really do make me happy, and a lot of other people too, its something to take me out of the busy and messy reality I live in, and it lets me just relax and have a laugh, thank you jack.
Even though I found this video late... I am SO glad I found it, as I have had symptoms like this (but you probably had them WAY worse), and I wondered if anyone else had the same thing! Hope you are still doing better and thank you for your value in entertainment!
Hi Jack, well done for making this video. I can completely relate to the anxiety stuff, the heart beat, panicky sense of impeding doom, struggle for breath and continual feelings of low mood. I think you hit the nail on the head - realising that talking to those you love and trust makes all the difference and is the best help anyone can get. Getting outside and taking time to just unwind is important too. Good job for raising awareness of this inportant topic! Atb Tom.
I think it's really easy to forget that basically every people we see on the internet is a real person. And things like this video can remind us that there are real people with life and emotions behind these words on the screen. And it can also go towards you Jack, think that every number, a view, a like and a sub is actually a real person that loves you and your videos. Now every time you think you got less views then you usually get don't think about them as numbers, think about them as real people and try imagining all these people standing in front of you and saying they love you and what you do...😁
Jackfrags... I want you to feel better again, if I had you close I would give you a hug and I would tell you that you are important to many of us. we love you jack. Do whatever you need to feel better
i went through the same thing when i was 11 till i was 15 worst years of my life but they are behind me now. glad to hear another person came out of it too
Hey jack, i really appreciate your content, and i really appreciate that you're powering through your suffering. Have a break man, you deserve it. We will sit tight and wait for you to recover, we love you man
You might need to take a break, even if people won't like it but is first you, it will be better if you take a break for like a month than work until you can't stand it any more
It's time to get back to the basics Jack. Only healthy food, lots of movement, minimal use of internet. Do a lot of manual work, something that can keep your brain busy and focused. We were not designed to spend 10 hours/day working on PC.
Thanks for sharing this Jack. You're special. Everybody is dealing with something. Everybody is struggling somehow. Some more than others. Thanks for your videos. Helped me a lot giving me a break during hard times. Happy holidays pal.
It's not always real people disliking videos. There are also bots out there which click on video, watch it for few seconds, dislike it and leave it. It might be competitors doing it, it might be some asshole doing it, we will never know :-) But all I know is that there are bots which are capable of such things, just like you can get thousands of subscribers in matter of minutes if you pay someone $100
down to the fluttering ear drum I've had those same anxiety symptoms since I was 16 and i'm now 28. I ignore them now and they no longer bother me but I can spot it and I know what it is now so it no longer has any power over me. Just know others feel those same things like myself, natural harmless arrhythmia, and being able to fill the lungs but not feel the satisfaction of oxygen feeling. Much love feels great for me as well to hear others have the same issues.
Yh Jack I've had similiar symptoms and its crippling at times. It's so common these days. I've isolated myself from friends and stopped working and quit all my hobbies, it helped at first to hide away at home but now I got to start rebuilding my life, starting with exercise and meditation and tryna fight the urge to cancel commitments. I hope we all start feeling brighter soon. Thanks for putting this vid out, its nice to know we're not alone. ATB
Thats scary stuff man. Thanks for sharing. I'm also 32 and I'm also trying to improve myself physically and mentally. Lets keep improving and stay strong!
For all the people having problems to fall asleep... here is a quick story. I have been a gamer for about 9 years now. I was never really a sports or exercise guy and I still love to play a couple hours straight per day. For the last 3 years I started to get the problem, no matter how i lay in bed .. i just cant fall asleep. One year ago i went to the military for exactly 6 months and i was doing the usual stuff. Waking up at around 6, exercising and execute orders. After 2 or 3 weeks i was able to fall asleep in 5 to 10 minutes no matter where i was ... and boy .. it was the best sleep I ever had. After the military i went to university and fell back in my usual lifestyle. No more exercises no more waking up at 6. Guess what .. until this day I am having problems to fall asleep and i know exactly why. All i wanted to say is .. just move your asses. Most of us dont want to do it (me included) but it really helps a lot. Think this is gonna be my new years resolution :D Merry Christmas to all of you!
Exactly my thought. I've been a gamer since I was 8. 37 now and started exercising 10 years ago and I felt never so much better in my life doing this. Get rid of that unhealthy lazy body and your brain will accept it. No electronics in your bedroom is a must as well. Trust me.
Hell yeah brother exactly the remedy for a lot of people, although a lot we deny and make excuses... but you just got to get out there and do it. Get some.
God this is so eerily similar to my current situation. The unexplainable symptoms, the endless medical tests, worry, etc... I've still never had a job, I've all but dropped out of college, and I still have terrible anxiety attacks regularly. I hate this. I want my life back. I just want to be a normal person.
Jack well done. Your not alone mate I have suffered from similar issues, and I think its a great video to encourage everyone to seek help and talk about your problems. I hope you continue to get better with your health. All the best!
Hey Jack, well first of all i'm somewhat sorry you had to go through that,it's true sometimes we understimate the amount of stress upon ourselves. Most of the things you said still happen to me: I often get headaches and sometimes i just feel like i'm suffocating and that the room is so hot that i'm melting,i suffer often of panic attacks and anxiety and anxiety just comes up whenever i hear something related to blood or to the heart. The panic attacks are not as often as they used to be, i went to the doctor many times,he checked on me and told me to just relax, i didn't even had to go through all the cardio measurements. But still i don't feel alright, many and many times i get these sudden pains in my chest and arms,my ears vibrate my hand shake and i start sweating, everytime i feel like i'm about to die there. Even now just by writing my breath accelerates and i get anxious. Not to mention how painful my stomach feels during the day,i have no clue on how to deal with this anymore. Doctor said that i'm probably stressed and depressed. Being with friends, with my girlfriend and staying away from the internet helps a lot apparently. Even if i'm not a youtuber or a content creator,i'm still ''slave'' of numbers, stats, profit in my internet life (if i can call it this way). I keep skipping or quit all my hobbies,i like to draw and to write,i like to play instruments,i like to run and do sword fighting,i don't do any of that anymore. Nothing,i got completely demolished by this persistent feeling and pain. I don't know.
Here you go Jack, I hope my writing helps you Anxiety Everyone deals with anxiety, though some deal with it on a different level. Normal anxiety is where the person worries about car payment, bills, education, and so on. However, anxiety can get out of hand. Anxiety differs from person to person. Anxiety causes a person to overthink things, situations, second guessing themselves, afraid to open up, creating false fears, and so on. It can be really debilitating on a day to day basis. Negative thoughts roam the corridors of the mind, waiting for their turn to try and convince the person of falseness. Of things that which are not true. A battle erupts from within. Some days you win, some days you lose. In some cases anxiety can make the person scan for imaginary threats in the environment they are in, putting their alertness on auto pilot. It can also put the person in a state of fear all the time. Anxiety can be a vicious cycle which can become hard to break. Anxiety distorts reality for the person, making them think one way when in reality it is another. On the days that you win, you gain strength and courage to fight another day against the anxiety beast. Anxiety can teach us things in life despite being a obstacle in the person's life at any given time. Inner strength is created from within, dealing with anxiety on a daily basis creates strength. That strength can be helpful in situations in life when it gets tough. Not everything that you experience is a threat even though your anxiety's filter says it is. Dont let anxiety get in the way of experiencing and trying new things, because you will grow if you overcome your anxiety. True that there is no cure for anxiety, just have to keep your anxiety in check. Anxiety can also protect you in real times of danger. Though realizing when your anxiety is active in a non threatening situation, you can refocus your attention somewhere else in order to calm down and process what is going on.
This is what I learned as well. Anxiety is there on a daily basis, the only cure is to be stronger than that anxiety. Anxiety will become less after a while. Don't let anxiety hold you back accomplishing what you want to do. Don't be hard on yourself.
Wow, this video made me tear up...it was like you were narrating my life a few months back. Same symptoms. Saw several doctors and ran blood work and all the tests, even an MRI. All normal. Diagnosis after months of looking = Anxiety Disorder. Everyone manages stress differently. Some better than others and it CAN result in physical symptoms. For me it took drugs to fix. I take Lexapro now and am back to normal. Always get help and avoid Google! :)
Be careful about suggesting psychiatric medicine to others, what might work for you might destroy others lives. Do some reasearch before you decide to take something for the rest of your life.
Same here, i have the exact same symptoms, went to doctors few times, had a camera shoved down my throat, everything normal. Still havent found anything to fiy it yet
Never have I related to a video more. Your symptoms, concerns, age and even your realisations. You are awesome and thank you for making a video that explains to people how I feel better than I have been able to express.
I’m very glad you didn’t get diagnosed with asthma because it can be hard to deal with at times, I almost died from it believe it or not, just glad your ok.
At the end of the day, we are all human. No man, woman and child is exempt from the possibility of having these issues. The thing is when a problem isn't tangible, then in the eyes of most it is not real. The education on these matters although is getting better needs to be better understood, and to get through these problems support and self awareness is required. As many of these comments are saying maybe taking a break for a while will give you that little bit of emotional / mental recharge that you need. I am glad you got to the bottom of your ailments, and I am glad that you feel better within yourself! With that said I have always enjoyed your videos, keep it up. Until next time bro, nuff love
Hey Jack, the majority of your community Care about your well-being, you don't need to bottle these things up. Thank you for sharing this not only for your sake but for someone in your communities sake as well, I'm sure someone watching your videos has bottled up the same emotions and has not shared it and this video has probably helped a few people open up. Some people here in the U.S. are afraid to share these feelings with there doctor's because of the medical bills rising. You are loved by your community and I know whether you change your content or take a break... Whatever you decide I will be a part of the community who stays throughout your content or waits for your return while you figure out what your going to do. We love you Jack. I was a bit confused about my eardrums, blurred vision, and gravitational imbalance, since I thought that I was the only one who had these issues, but nowing that you had the same things made me feel a bit more comfortable, not that I'm comftrable you have these issues, but that I'm not alone. This video really helped me a lot. I really hope you get better soon Jack. You are one hell of a person Jack. Thank you so much for all the help.
Jack, the reason you struggled to take a breath was that your rib cage muscles were contracted as part of your fight or flight response. And the reason why a deep sigh or a yawn allowed you to take that full breath was because that is one of the signalling pathways for your Vagus Nerve, which interacts with your sympathetic nervous system. That deep yawn activates the nerve and sends signals out to tell your body that the threat has passed and you're okay. But with chronic stress, those signalling pathways aren't activated organically. You need to force their activation, and you did that with the yawning. There are other ways, and I only wish GPs would get their heads out of their reductionist arses and read some literature. Stay off coffee, too, as those ectopic heart beats are a sign your body is cranked up to 11 and struggling. The internet is full of info and it takes our own common sense to work through what's relevant and helpful, and what hinders progress. We all get stuck on the former, but now that you know what's going on I hope you can use the wealth of knowledge out there to help yourself. And maybe a few others, along the way.
Excellent and helpful comment. As someone who has experienced and researched this topic, I thank you for your accuracy on the issue. So many times people type what they hear and not what they know. I appreciate you providing intelligence instead of ignorance.
MakTheBlade this happened to me years ago. The doctor gave me antacid. It never was explained and I never knew the real explanation until reading your post. Distressing not to be able to get a breathe. I thought it was exhaustion due to overdoing cardio.
I feel a lot like you except instead of headaches I get nauseous and with the number thing I think that could be linked with my gaming and this video had really opened my eyes
I’ve been going through the exact same thing, Jack. Thank you for sharing this because I’ve been told it’s health anxiety as well, but I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t accept that my brain could manifest these physical symptoms. It’s been a huge struggle for me and has impacted all facets of my life. It’s oddly serendipitous that you would share this. Thank you and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I think you deserve a break Jack, take it easy man.

@@battlenoobxd45 I think you mean yup
But I agree
That's the thing, you can't take a break. Not in your head. UA-cam feels like a treadmill. You have to keep up your speed so you don't fall off and lose progress. You want to stop but you can't, not unless you want the algorithm to punish you

Mental illness is something that needs more recognition, this video will help more than you could ever realise. 1 person might watch this and instantly relate which may help on their road to recovery. Kudos for making this video :)
Woah I think this is me
I had a blood clot in my leg in 2015, it broke into 3 different sizes, lodged in both lungs.
I already knew it will be mental illness after first 2 minutes. It's not something uncommon or strange and happens to many many people.
@@CODE-BROWN good of you to talk about it, are you on the mend? As slow as the progress might seem
Sast06 i love you man :)
Well done.
I'm sure just putting all these things out there is also therapeutic, it's a great idea.
I don't think it is the least talked about issue I think there is things. more Important.
You said that better than i ever could have. Fuck the people who tell you to "Just man up". No! Shit like this needs to be taken seriously!
“I have a long life to live and I’m going to do just that” - jackfrags. Can this be my moto it’s an amazing quote
Talking about these things and reassuring yourself, like I'm sure you're already doing, is an essential part to be able to "move on."
"Hang in there, Jack!
Well Written Alex.
Good luck, jackfrags.
Good job, well said my man 👍
What..? How can someone be so stypid. Ofcourse they are real persons. I am also real person who wrote this.

Yea mate sometimes just talking about it can reaffirm it in ur head thats its all in ur mind
Yeah its called Catharticism
Bang on 👍🏽
@@TheGoodFellaszIt's not really a matter of 'being in your head'.

Merry christmas everyone! 🎉🎅

Hahaha ah lol git gud scrub 😂

ItsPapaCeeJ yu dont goto your doctor lmao you goto the nearest mental health clinic for screening and will be prescribed something.
nic jones only if the doctor allows it they don’t hand out controlled drugs out like they used to I would know I’m on 1mg Xanax and they drug test me before every refill also they have a high abuse rate.
Yeah I have it too
Jack I’m watching this 2 years later and everything you said you described exactly what I’ve been feeling/going through.
Yea man
Yep, we’re anxiety brothers now
I'm 48 Jack and I've experienced many similar symptoms over the years.
My doctor always tells me never google symptoms it’s the worst thing you could do because you see something and then you worry more
Your doctor is probably right.
Haha
Probably it makes sense haha
Self diagnosing yourself is never a good thing. There's a reason why doctors study their field for 6-8 years before getting their degree...
But if you are going to do it, Google the illness which you think it might be (like a light influenza or food poisoning) and see if the symptoms of the illness fits you. Don't Google the symptoms that you have because depending on the searching algorithm it might show you something completely different and much worse than what you're going through.
It’s always cancers, tumors, and clots.

Listen to this man Jack.
a short break is surely needed.. think alot of us have been there, it is stress for sure. Consider cutting down the amount of gaming a bit and also start to meditate with mindfulness (no joke, try letting an phone app help) .. just take things easy, many games can be very stressful (especially bf5)
my dad was in the army but hes retired and not in the army anymore.
That’s anxiety attacks my man, I know how you feel :(
Everyone has different symptoms so we cant know how he or any one else feels exactly.
I had the same problems my doctor gave me pills for strees it helped me
I honestly thought the same thing, for some reason I always try to brush those things off, iv had that fluttering and breathlessness you felt, I still get it a lot from time to time, it really does make it hard to do things, im in year 12 of my schooling at the moment and its exam time, so these sensations are coming back to me, i always feel so tired and like I can't focus... this video makes me wonder if im doing the right things for me, im not a very active person and I do just sit in my room a lot, im healthy still, strong and charismatic, but I still don't feel that way if that makes sense...
Keep friends and family, those you love, close to you.
I think you have PTSD from all of the wars you been in

Coming from a person that has PTSD I find this offensive.

We will sit tight and wait for you to recover, we love you man
You might need to take a break, even if people won't like it but is first you, it will be better if you take a break for like a month than work until you can't stand it any more
It sounds exactly just like my depression, I have terrible breathing, nausea, it’s usually lack of sleep
Player Attack tuc What Jack described was also part of some of my previous anxiety. The heavy breathing and the heart beat thing.
I cannot describe how perfect of a time this video came in my life. Thank you so much for posting it and sharing
It's time to get back to the basics Jack. Only healthy food, lots of movement, minimal use of internet. Do a lot of manual work, something that can keep your brain busy and focused. We were not designed to spend 10 hours/day working on PC.
but i am haha...

Some people dislike a video because they are sad due to the content.
down to the fluttering ear drum I've had those same anxiety symptoms since I was 16 and i'm now 28.
Honestly thought i was the only one im so glad other people do it (not glad but appreciative of support)
Think this is gonna be my new years resolution :D
Merry Christmas to all of you!
It's blue light. I normally use my phone before sleeping, afterwards I can't sleep. when I read or draw I fall asleep very quickly.
Exactly my thought. I've been a gamer since I was 8. 37 now and started exercising 10 years ago and I felt never so much better in my life doing this. Get rid of that unhealthy lazy body and your brain will accept it. No electronics in your bedroom is a must as well. Trust me.
Everyone could use some exercise! Thank you for your service!
Here you go Jack, I hope my writing helps you
Anxiety
Everyone deals with anxiety, though some deal with it on a different level.

@@tylergable2445 so negative.
@@MrArnand Be hard on yourself... and do the things you are afraid of....in my experience

Thank you for sharing this not only for your sake but for someone in your communities sake as well, I'm sure someone watching your videos has bottled up the same emotions and has not shared it and this video has probably helped a few people open up.
Hey if you need a break dude take one you deserve it
Jack, the reason you struggled to take a breath was that your rib cage muscles were contracted as part of your fight or flight response.
You hit the nail on the head here. He needs to decompress in a serious way.
Excellent and helpful comment. As someone who has experienced and researched this topic, I thank you for your accuracy on the issue. So many times people type what they hear and not what they know. I appreciate you providing intelligence instead of ignorance.
Holy shit... Pretty sure I have anxiety.
