Another awesome video Gary! Thanks for sharing!!!!! I have been an organic farmer for over 12 years now and I must tell you a tip an Old timer taught me. Spray milk(I use raw milk but any milk will do) at a ratio of 1:10 milk to water every couple weeks all over your tomato plants. When I started doing this my tomato and pepper yields tripled in quantity. They also seemed to me to taste sweeter. What it does is not only give the plant more calcium and other needed minerals it also helps strengthen the cell walls which help fight off fungus. It also attracts beneficial wasps that eat the larva of worms and other pests! I look forward to your next video!(-:

Ange... I am piecing the question together. Lets see. So they are growing well cause you did a good job. You can feed them every 1-2 weeks with like 1/2 strength liquid fertilizer. You don't want to overdue the nitrogen.
If you can slide them to some shade that will help. A saucer helps too. Like you said 2x watering a day and they still dry out. The wilt is from the heat. Shade might help.
I would pinch off new suckers as the show. After some of the big suckers flower...

You did not mention the FACT that you can plant the suckers and they will produce more tomatoes than the mother plants. This goes for the suckers on the suckers plants. This was shown to me by my father 60 years ago. So one only has to buy or plant 3or 4 tomatoes and plant the suckers , since it is best to plant tomatoes about every 2 week all season long , this will produce more than you can eat. You can give away the excess to someone you care about , You can freeze , Can some and trade for some thing you have not grown.

I have some videos of supports I use in 5 gallons. Might be in the pea videos. The cheapest is buying 5 or 6 foot bamboo canes. They are thin and come in like 6 packs. You can find them in big do it yourself places for like $3 a pack. I put three in a container tee-pee shape triangle an tie the tops together.
I also use the tomato wire cages you would use the ground. They cost about $4 a piece. Depending of the variety sometimes you need a cage and some bamboo sticks. They can get large.

Suckers arent a waste of time. They can add to massive plant growth that overwhelms the garden and makes disease risks higher. You prune out many of the suckers for that reason to manage growth.
Pruning a whole lot at one time can shock them. I prune over a period of time.

You do for one reason. If you have an indeterminate tomato in the upside down bucket it will get huge. The weight becomes an issue and so does watering. So I would prune it to manage the size. If you have determinate tomatoes you dont need to prune it. Ive grown tomatoes upside down and they start well but often overwhelm the container. Good luck.

I use a 5 gal bucket & add 1 cup of Epsom Salt, 3 quarts (not 8) of mulch, & a good spill of fish emulsion. I fill the bucket with water & use a small shovel to mix it well until the water turns black like a witch's brew. I leave it over night to brew. I mix it again before I use as a fertilizer for my tomatoes & peppers. It's amazing! I've used it on mature plants & witness the size difference in the stems, flowers, & fruits.

I don't recommend turning the soil over. just paper and mulch it. Let the worms do the cultivation of the soil and over time your soil will improve dramatically.
