I saw that too, and im a commanders fan, amd his vision is insane and he actually hurt that dude he juked, we pick 4th so who knows what our new staff will do but if they evaluate QBS on our team and feel drafting that high a qb is in play it needs to be, Ron messed up in 20 and 21 by not getting a qb granted we had Haskins and RIP but as a fan i knew Dan picked him, bit yes Chase was the guy at the time but most people know you take over a staff you get your QB if you really dont have one if you're picking that high but thats the past so i really hope the new regime either gets 1 of these qbs or gets Sam some protection and more weapons
Great on his feet. Can hit the open receivers.. but how well will he do throwing into tight windows/tough coverages. Gotta be able to do that at the next level.
I’d take this dude any day over Penix. People up here are delusional for Washington. This kid has the talent potential to be a hall of famer in the NFL. I’m hoping with everything we get this dude, even if we have to move crucial players.
@@Coop95 yeah after that game, his stock rose tremendously, if he beats Michigan single handedly, I’m willing to call him the best in the class. Hands down
Damn he has some Amazing touch on his passes. Super quick and can juke. The only thing is I didn’t seen some laser throws. There were a few that floated. But damn he going to be solid I think
Plus it's a lot harder to throw the ball with speed an accuracy 50+ yards down the field almost anyone can catch a ball especially when the QB is as accurate as some of these NFL players are !!
Because there's 4 300lb dudes coming to rip your head off while others are patiently waiting to intercept the ball or rush you, so they need to read the defense understand the coverage the defense is in and deliver the ball to a spot your receiver can catch it and the defense is unable to
It’s a great point. There’s a lot you can do as a runner besides be fast and agile. Kelly QBs have always put a lot of focus on those reads and being crafty runners
Good passing skills and pocket awareness, strong arm and accurate but he telegraphes passes and stares down his receivers. Great running ability, elusive with terrific field vision. He could play RB.
EXACTLY ! Every single play is a Go Route to an open receiver. And the few times the defense was able to keep up, the WR had to come back and make a Randy Miss type play on the ball. Don’t get me wrong, i see the raw materials. if he could sit a year and get with the right coach i have no doubt he could make some noise. But there’s guys in these comments talking about he’s a lock HOF’er because he can throw go balls lol it’s crazy.
And to think, most LSU fans wanted him to get benched for Nussmeyer after the UGA game last season… This is exactly why coaches DON’T take advice from the fans. Some of y’all think you know more than you really do 🤣🤣🤣
this is true. I was one. I thought Nuss was better bc he could sling it, but he was too wild with throws. Jayden was better. Hopefully Nuss can make it. He looked very good in 2nd half in bowl game. He hasn't started a game since 2021 I believe before that. Started slow but looked good 2nd half
Things i've noticed from these highlights, He does one of 2 things, First read and throw, or first read, then Maybe second or third and scrambles. Talented yes, pro worthy? doesn't look like it. But good Coaching can fix those problems.
He looks like an awesome college quarterback. But there is not a single clip where he comes off of his first read. There is no manipulation of the pocket here either. When he moves in this video it is always to run. This is my first time looking at him, so hopefully I can see some of these things I am mentioning elsewhere.
I see the same. ASU alum and watched a little of him before he transferred to LSU. He's definitely improved, so I'm skeptical there as well. Third, I am a Redskins fan and we have a QB Howell struggling with the exact same thing. Does not get the ball out at the end of his drop. Lastly, we also had RG3 and I see a lot of the same characteristics but Jayden is bigger and can actually slide.
It's close to Christmas so I'm putting this on my wish list ! I wish the Tennessee Vols had a player and a coach that could develope a great player like this ! Congratulations to you Mr. Daniel's and to Nick Saban for one of the greatest SEC seasons ! Go Vols
Great job at development he was not this good at ASU 4 years ago. And last year at LSU he had no pocket presence and was horrible on 3rd down. This year he really put the package together, kudos to him for improving
Nothing in this highlight reel shows me he will be a capable NFL QB. I wanna see a QB thread the needle on a crossing route, hit a back shoulder throw,, progress through his reads. These are all GO Routes and Deep throws downfield.
he throws the backshoulder fade several times man... but yeah this seems like a td and rushing reel , do need to see something other than bombs to a wr that cant be covered in college, thats not gonna happen to whatever talent deficient team drafts him in the nfl, just ask bryce young

Ngl Penix is really that dude
@@Coop95 yeah after that game, his stock rose tremendously, if he beats Michigan single handedly, I’m willing to call him the best in the class. Hands down
"Nooooooooo!"
-Pete Carroll
@@Coop95Meh athleticism, was miserable against Michigan.
I was hoping to see a Seattle fan here… I would definitely take him over penix fast decision making, deep throw and throwing while scrambling
I like that when the pocket collapse he not just standing there he quickly running around to gain yards. A skill he will need once he gets to the NFL
JAYDEN DANIELS YOU ARE A PATRIOT!!!
Noooooo. Mac jones is way better!
@@mickeymouse7529 Good one 😂😂😂
@@mickeymouse7529fr bro just needa get mac MHJ & some real play callers who believe in him & we so back. but nope we finna overdraft this kid 😭
Damn he has some Amazing touch on his passes. Super quick and can juke. The only thing is I didn’t seen some laser throws. There were a few that floated. But damn he going to be solid I think
can’t understand how American football rewards the person throwing the egg rather than the superhuman catching it at full sprint over the shoulder
Cause one touches the ball every play and makes all the decisions
Plus it's a lot harder to throw the ball with speed an accuracy 50+ yards down the field almost anyone can catch a ball especially when the QB is as accurate as some of these NFL players are !!
almost anyone can catch the ball?
@@LandrySubirayes if you played the sport you would see the difference in the amount of people that can make that catch vs that throw
Because there's 4 300lb dudes coming to rip your head off while others are patiently waiting to intercept the ball or rush you, so they need to read the defense understand the coverage the defense is in and deliver the ball to a spot your receiver can catch it and the defense is unable to
This gone be dangerous kuz he turn into a RB when he start scrambling oweeee
Minnesota will get him at all cost which shouldn't be much since all the"experts" have at least 3-4 qbs ahead of him.
Kwesi’s goal.
Maaaaan I hope our Vikes get him. OMG Jefferson, Addison, Hockenson and him would be must see TV
Welcome to New Jersey! Mr. Daniel's
This dude has a roster spot waiting for him at the Vikings. Paired up with Jefferson, also from LSU. Remember this post all, heard it here first!✌🏻
Lmaooo he wont be there good luck next year
Kwesi does love LSU players. Ingram, Jay ward, Jacqueline Roy
His reading on tackling angles is the best I’ve seen from a qb
It’s a great point. There’s a lot you can do as a runner besides be fast and agile. Kelly QBs have always put a lot of focus on those reads and being crafty runners
His arm action is so smooth and effortless it looks like a video game, and his acceleration and speed are unmatched.
Just like Lamar Jackson
@@dayday_bhrazy3693 I can see that… or maybe a little Kyler too.
Except he's 6'4"
@@augustmoon0004 what's the connection?
Would be interesting to see him in New England. We’ve never really had a mobile QB
Y’all had cam loll
@@djcruwcial9475 ok, 1 season. But for most of my life I’ve watched Drew Bledsoe, Tom Brady, and Mac Jones who are all very not-mobile
Well the fucking time is now
LSU got some amazing WRs this season!
Raiders plz go get this guy Adams and Him would be crazy
Unless we move on from Adams
He's got some skills . Will need good coaching and strong protection up front.
Saints need to make sure he stays in La.
That’d be a cool spot for him
LETS GEAUX WHO DAT
New Orleans winning too many games
Welcome to Atlanta my boy I spoke it to existence 💯
@a1colossal864
And to think, most LSU fans wanted him to get benched for Nussmeyer after the UGA game last season… This is exactly why coaches DON’T take advice from the fans. Some of y’all think you know more than you really do 🤣🤣🤣
What big games did he win
@@amadizyair3441 more than Nussmeyer
this is true. I was one. I thought Nuss was better bc he could sling it, but he was too wild with throws. Jayden was better. Hopefully Nuss can make it. He looked very good in 2nd half in bowl game. He hasn't started a game since 2021 I believe before that. Started slow but looked good 2nd half
This kid has some of the best highlights. You can't compare him to anyone in the draft. He is definitely one of kind.
Be real guys… Welcome to Raider Nation 😎😏
Can they get em ?!
Think they’re going to have to trade up if they want him. Can’t see him going past the second pick.
I been watching all the top qbs out this class he by far looks the best in my opinion. Bears are supposedly taking caleb Williams. We’ll see
Congrats Jayden🎉
Things i've noticed from these highlights, He does one of 2 things, First read and throw, or first read, then Maybe second or third and scrambles. Talented yes, pro worthy? doesn't look like it. But good Coaching can fix those problems.
Wish him the best in Washington 💯💪🏾🏈.
His accuracy is on a different lavel but his ability to use blocks is unmatched.
My god his speed is insane, a corner couldn’t even catch him
Cammanders should bring on his top two receivers and line men if they dont get picked
The Patriots need to draft him!
Damn! His long bombs look so effortless!!!
He's got a dime for an arm wow what an amazing playmaker definitely should be the first round draft pick
I've never seen this guy before this and I'm impressed I wouldn't hesitate to take him 2 overall
There's plenty of tape of him moving the pocket too.
@@mikeshanahan7264plenty
His throwing motion is so fluid
I think New England should get him, seems level headed ready to keep learning , hey what have we got to lose.
Well now that they beat Denver might end up with jd
🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️ make it happen
Raiders
Looking good but some of those throws would’ve been INTs in the NFL without question. They’re so much faster and more situationally aware.
yeah thought the same... "in stride" but 'in between' the wr and cb is not quite where you want to put it unless there is a lot of separation
You dudes don't know shit about football!!
This year he really put the package together, kudos to him for improving
bro Hooker was close
Yes, Thank You Virginia Tech for your development of Hooker !
Y’all have that Iamaleava kid. He looks like he’s gonna be a beast
Next QB for the Giants, Hes fast, I can totally see him making his own plays when the Giants oline breaks down every other snap
Be ready on 04-25-24 Daniel’s for your flight to Minneapolis leaves the next morning
Need the raiders to draft this guy
I have not seen running like that since Gale Sayers. Unreal.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nothing in this highlight reel shows me he will be a capable NFL QB. I wanna see a QB thread the needle on a crossing route, hit a back shoulder throw,, progress through his reads. These are all GO Routes and Deep throws downfield.
He literally did everything captain obvious… That’s why you’re only here in here just in the comments where you belong.
he throws the backshoulder fade several times man... but yeah this seems like a td and rushing reel , do need to see something other than bombs to a wr that cant be covered in college, thats not gonna happen to whatever talent deficient team drafts him in the nfl, just ask bryce young
@@aaronbreeds758i said the same thing. the guys guarding him will be lucky if they are allowed to workout at the combine. Pretty arm ? Yes. Big, strong and fast ? Check. But i could name 25 QBs that looked just like him in college in just the last 10 years. History of the league shows these guys that can throw to elite, top tier receivers don’t pan out that well. Hell Ohio State JUST got a real deal QB in the league after how many guys ? He has the materials. I just want people to pump the brakes a bit.
He has a nice deep ball,on target able to keep it away from defenders
Congrats on winning the heisman
Future patriot
An incredible talent.
Great first look accuracy. Wow! Great running abilities. Wow Wow! We didn't get to see much of his check-down play making... but why bother? If his first guy isn't open just fucking run!!!!!! Jayden is Elite talent.
That Purple And Yellow Already looks good on you.. Do the right thing Vikings! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💜💛💜💛
Not hating on JD5 but his receivers were making amazing deep ball catches
They have hands for days, but JD5 has that magic touch
Daniels you are A patriot, Mike evans you are a patriot, Xavier legget or Troy Franklin you are a patriot 🔥
This dude is setting up his running lanes from 50 yards away. That's insane vision there
