I used to have a 125cc Suzuki VanVan which was pretty cool but now I wanna go for something more powerful and suitable for longer distances. I have been looking into the Royal Enfield Himalayan for months now and after seeing your channel I am pretty sure that's the one for me. Safe riding! The bikes we rented locally (didn't do it up front, maybe it is easier by now). For the route, we just did the Annapurna circuit except the highest part which is unreachable by bike. • @P_Low
      @P_Low  3 роки тому

      I really like them both, these are my thoughts from before ;)
      They are both relatively light but still very capable. I really love the look and feel of the Himalayan, especially in the Himalayas 😉 I'm not an objective expert on these bikes and more of “feel” person, both of the bikes definitely made a connection with me and I can recommend them both for these kinds of trips. Depending on where you will ride them, you’ll need to consider the limited power of both of them. I would love to own a lighter bike but my ‘flat big roads country’ with no mountain roads at al isn’t really suited for a light bike🤔

    • @P_Low
      @P_Low  2 роки тому

      I have to disagree with you on that one. All we did was travel around this beautiful country by bike and I think we did it as respectfully as we could have. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion off course ;)

      @@P_Low My apologies I was watching your film and another bike film where they were totally disrespecting the humble fine people of the Himalayas. Got the two mixed up. I rewatched your film and didn't see any dangerous crazy thrill riding at local's expense. I lived in India for a spell with my wife and are old enough folkies. We worked construction at an orphanage then in somewhat ruins for 2 months. General contracting is what we do in the states. I'm sorry to say but we felt the best Americans couldn't afford such extravagant adventures. The humble people trying like heck to survive in America could never imagine doing such an adventure. I'm not saying you guys, but we ran into many cocky full of themselves young Americans in India. There was a long-term study involving 182 countries which revealed higher incomes generally produce robust self-images. And man did we see that:) Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism teach to try to eliminate the ego. Big enough money really works against that. As you know the people of the Himalayas generally are very friendly and humble. We plan on 3 winters from now touring orphanages on Honda CT 125 Trails in Nepal and funding one hopefully as long as we live. Again, my apologies.
