Well I never cried No I never cried And I never feared in the normal way But you cut me down With a sound... Sometimes you crush me Sometimes words will not deny That you crush me Yeah, yeah, yeah Well I see your head Walking proud and high, Honey walk a mile On that silver ride Someone turned their head, Dropped a glance and said "Honey" Sometimes you crush me Sometimes words will not deny That you crush me Yeah, yeah, yeah Sometimes you crush me There′s somebody got a hold of my head Put it into a can (And) changed the way that I feel Somebody got a hold of my hand Put it right through glass
One of the best under rated British bands ever 💔 I got a chance to see them live in Chicago at The Metro, back in the late 80s 🙏🥰❤️ My brother and I chatted with the band at the bar, I will never forget that experience.!! Thank you
Its weird because I can't remember seeing them live ( and I must have because I was going to loads of gigs in the late 80's early 90's and the HoL were one of my faves) , but I remember a different, harder version of this song and I could only have seen it live.
They did arrive too early and they should have been bigger, but they were classier than some of that stuff... but they got to blaze the trail for what came after and they do at least have a legacy of original, loved, meaningful songs rather than being one-hit-wonders or something derivative.
This band should have been gigantic
Well I never cried
No I never cried
And I never feared in the normal way
But you cut me down
With a sound...
Sometimes you crush me
Sometimes words will not deny
That you crush me
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Well I see your head
Walking proud and high,
Honey walk a mile
On that silver ride
Someone turned their head,
Dropped a glance and said "Honey"
Sometimes you crush me
Sometimes words will not deny
That you crush me
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Sometimes you crush me
There′s somebody got a hold of my head
Put it into a can
(And) changed the way that I feel
Somebody got a hold of my hand
Put it right through glass
I saw you open for Peter Murphy in Los Angeles. You guys were the best part of the night! I became a fan for life.

Great song!
Thanks for the upload!
Brings me memories from a different era. No more melodies like this....
Brilliant song as if Aha and REM had a baby this it.😎
Love the disjointed, fuzzy, dream like, unrealness of this.
Thanks for uploading
What an album! Joy.....
I listened this song in 1993

Too. All the album Babe Rainbow 1993 is brilliant. Fabulous music.
Always loved the dreamy exquisiteness of the opening bars of this song :)
