    Back in September 2022,I was going to Bangkok thru JAL,in LAX btw and I was asked to provide a "return ticket" prior checking in for my flight,I didn't had 1 so I bought 1 and then I was able to check in...18 hours later I arrived in BKK and NOBODY asked me for a return ticket to ANYWHERE.

    I love that very few people are wearing masks. It's so nice to see the Filipino smiles.

    It’s GREAT you got a written menu!!! I flew on Singapore Airlines, Qantas and Thai Airways recently and they have NO menu. I’m half deaf and can’t even hear them with both my hearing aids in due to engine noise. Why don’t they consider the hearing impaired passengers?????

    The majority of the time why flights depart late is that they're waiting on passengers and I guess they want to wait for those passengers than to remove their luggage. Plus the flight can't just leave without getting the permission from ATC. Every time that we leave from LAX to go to Manila I feel like we need to show up a day early from all of the walking just to get to the gate. Also I try not to eat at any airport because they charge so much to eat there I feel like I have to take out a bank loan just to pay for their food.

    Hey! I am taking the same flight from LAX to Manila next week. I was wondering what the USB/plug situation is on the flight?

    • @gorciano
      @gorciano  Місяць тому

      Hi, thanks for watching! Each passenger gets one USB charging port. Sometimes the cord can get a little loose in the port so be sure to check your device to see if it’s charging. Hope this helps.

    Hey! Do you mind, how long did it take you to arrive in Manila once in the air? I'm flying there with PAL from LAX.

    • @gorciano

      It takes about 14 hours more or less to get to Manila from LAX, depending on the conditions in the sky. Thanks for watching and safe travels!

      Unfortunately I didn’t avail their WiFi packages, but depending on your cell provider they offer free WiFi for an allotted time. Thanks for watching!

    The biggest disappointment with PAL is that they don't have any flights to Europe as I'm a Schengen Visa holder, still have to go to other Asian or Middle Eastern airports to catch a connecting flight to Europe. I used to fly with Lufthansa during my past travels to Europe until they ceased flying to Manila in 2008, as of today there are no direct flights to Europe and many Filipinos are being let down even European tourists wanting to come to the Philippines but it's too burdensome they rather prefer going to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and even Indonesia as there are direct flights to these countries than the Philippines. How would you feel about that?

    • @gorciano
      @gorciano  2 місяці тому

      Wow that’s surprising, I always thought that there were direct flights from Europe to the Philippines and vice versa. That’s really unfortunate for Filipinos in Europe wanting a convenient travel experience to the Philippines. It could probably be from the lack of passengers that would be worth PAL having direct flights, since nowadays the direct flights I’ve been on between Manila and Los Angeles have been packed. Tourism would definitely benefit from more convenient direct flights to the Philippines.

      @@gorciano Recently read the article that Lufthansa is returning their direct flights to Manila either from Frankfurt or Munich if this materialize it's a great "Herzliche Willkommen Zurück zu Philippinen" as I speak German also Air France is planning to return to the Philippines from Paris Charles De Gaulle soon most likely to the New Manila International Airport in Bulacan which is 4x larger than NAIA when it becomes fully operational in 2027/28.

    I'm going to the Philippians next year with my emotional support dog. Do you have information on how easy or bad it will be? Flying to Los Angeles from a southern state. Thanks for the video and information.

      Emotional support dogs are treated as pets unless you have a genuine Service Dogs. They need the papers that your dog is really a service dog to be in the cabin

      Hello, I’m not entirely sure, but this might be the case in the Philippines since they do prioritize the elderly, disabled, and those with infants. Not sure about LAX. Thanks for watching!

    Is it required to have a return ticket ?

    • @gorciano
      @gorciano  7 місяців тому

      I’m not entirely sure, but I don’t think it’s required as long as you follow the length of stay based on what’s stamped on your passport upon entry.

    I think this is isolated with PAL. i took CX, JL and KE before and I didn't hear any clapping.
    This is just me but it is super tacky to do that.

    • @gorciano
      @gorciano  Місяць тому +1

      I agree, it could be isolated with PAL since it would be embarrassing or awkward for it to happen on a non-flag carrier airline. Thanks for watching!
